I believe Tech Industries is going to be the most impacted sector if a recession come. Bcz Market clearly says at very loud if u look chart of other sector and IT Sector across the globe.
if all other industries got affected with recession how the IT industry will be less affected, IT is not at all a stand alone industry, completely depend on profit margins of thier clients, if profit got affected the first thing they will cut down their expenditure is on IT projects only, they will resize their project resources and make projects cost effective.
Putting all IT company under one umbrella is a biggest mistake you can ever make. Financial company in USAs are very stable and recession proof in most cases. However, I believe this recession will not result in tech layoffs like 2008 did. I still see atleast 5 emails for requirements in my mail box. Some recruiters are literally begging us to join the company. I guess your skillset will decide whether you will have a job or will be laid off. That is why I do not put my hands in skillset in demands.

Very true... companies have a vision for their organisation when it comes to technology and now technology is a must invest department for all sectors...even if recession it will get over and avoiding technology expenditure will not be helping organization's in reaching their vision. Technology or engineering department will be less impacted by this recession as organizations are much more mature to handle these impacts now. Also if I am not wrong Google said they will focus their hiring in engineering and technology department.

Try to avoid,, Zomato and Paytm as of now. As they are IPO, and will do anything and everything to push up the stock price. Try avoiding ola as well as they are seeing pretty big crisis and have laid off some staff as well. Swiggy seems to be doing good.

No, Product based company never see tech stack.. they only see DSA and system design knowledge. So start preparing for DSA and System design.
