I watched a video recently of the gen z interviews asking about memorial day. Most don't have a clue but the ones that have an answer think it's veterans day and not that it's about veterans that didn't go home . Smh from a veteran . RIP Eric who didn't make it home
I feel a lot of the lie comes from the idea of new age “equality”. Men and women aren’t supposed to be equal they’re supposed to pick shit up where and when they see it’s needed. Sometimes I’m at rock bottom and my marriage looks like 80/20 him and sometimes he’s had enough and it looks like 80/20 me. Communication is the absolute most important part of a relationship IMO. I can’t, nor can he, have unrealistic expectations if we know where our partner stands day to day. He doesn’t expect me to work and keep a perfectly pristine home as well as a tight body, full glam always, and fulfilling all parental duties. He’s not afraid to help with household chores and he’s (by todays standards) a superhero of a father to all 4 of our children even though the 2 eldest don’t share his DNA to him those are just as much his children and to them he’s the only father they know. Now their father is not in the picture but he’s told me flat out that even if he were the way things are would stand. Our marriage isn’t typical these days but it works. It’s also not all rainbows and butterflies. Real life with open communication couldn’t possibly be all good all the time. It’s a job just like anything else but the payout of the good times far outweigh the struggle of the bad ones. Expectation often leads to disappointment. Thats not to say you settle but it’s to make people aware that just like with anything else you’ll have ups and downs you just have to know that the work will render reward and just moving onto another will still come with difficulty because it’s rarely just one side that falls sometimes and you will take yourself into your next relationship.

There are a ton of men struggling and to hear a female voice post the things you post...Well they need to hear it. Gives them hope that there are good beautiful women who get it!! As a veteran with documented PTSD and depression and numerous other things that woukd take all day to list . There is no local stuff round my oarts so i went national to find a place with PTSD dogs but been on a wait list for now 2 years and inlooked into just paying gor it my self and its outrageous
I genuinely cant stand modern feminism. Its no longer about equal treatment, which i will ALWAYS stand up for. Todays version has become more about attacking men, for no other reason than they're men.
