I had fun watching this video! I will try some of your ideas. As I watched I thought of other things I could make for friends and to take to retreats and conventions. I like to make aprons from men’s shirts. I can add a machine embroidery design that reflects the theme of the retreat and gift them to people who are organizing the retreat or are volunteering at the event. They would also be a great fund raiser to sell to raise money for the next years event! Thanks for the inspiration! I will look to see if you have a diy video on the needle keeper. Great idea! That would be wonderful!! I went to fat quarter shop and bought the circles and I’m struggling how you get that material so flat on the inside of the larger disc?! I’m a quilter and it’s not like it’s my first rodeo, but why I’m struggling with getting it flat on a circle, I’ll never know!! 🤦♀️

On a side note as curious .. does your sweatshirt say Talulah? Is there any significance to that name? Tallulah was a nickname for my younger sister, who had passed away from cancer a couple years ago. Always love the Godwinks that I see in her memory! ❤❤

Are there generally 6 stitchers per table? Going to my first retreat this fall. 😊
They are all different and you can always ask if the organizer doesn’t let you know.

If you go to the website sablestitcher.net they have a listing of retreats.
What do you use a sewing mat for? This is the first time I have seen one!
You would use the stitching mat to put on your table at your spot when you go to a retreat. It is just a fun addition to your table set up.
How did you put monogram on top of case?
I cut it out on my silhouette with vinyl.

A Stitching Mat is like a placemat that you would put on the table to kind of mark your space at a retreat. Not necessary but a fun addition to your table.
Can someone tell me what a floss card is?
A floss card is something you would put your DMC or overdyed floss on to hold. I normally keep the overdyed on the card it comes on and just use them when I cut my DMC for a project.
