    What I've done with my daily prescriptions is cut back slightly if possible while continuing to buy the full amount. Over the course of a year, you might end up with an extra 2-3 months of meds. I always use the oldest first and I've built up a reserve of 6-12 months of my daily scripts over the course of several years.

      We’re not supposed to do this especially controlled substances but yeah I do it too lol just don’t tell your doctor. Hell don’t tell anyone if it’s controlled substances. I’m not sure about the legality of that personally, but your doctor could lose his license. It’s why they are so afraid to prescribe anything these days

    Jase medical now has a 12 month supply option for backup medications for other ailments . Also if you take prescription pain killers you can get Kratom for when you need to wean down . It will help the process of getting off the medication. It’s a powder and you can buy as much as you want . Sold in smoke shops

    Thank you for this video. One thought. Peroxide is only good for the initial treatment. If you continue to use peroxide on a wound it will not let it heal. It will continue to keep the wound open. We grew up thinking peroxide was the 'thing' and it is important but only for the first round of treatment. Coming from a family of nurses, the ones who deal with wounds. Get some medihoney, too for wounds. It is a miracle medicine for a wound, especially on an area of the body that bears weight, like your bum.

    One option for stocking up on prescription meds is seeing if you can switch to a 90 day supply from an online pharmacy. Some insurance companies really encourage using them and I have found that Dr's are often willing to write a script for a 90 day if you are going online

    They did find the metronidazole antibiotic in some people once it is an expired date can cause paralytic symptoms and or severe nerve damage/paralysis. In some percentage of people. Luckily I how the hospital and they put me on steroid drip for a week in hospital. ... Definitely do deep research on how these medications can affect you once they are expired. Because the likelihood of them having adverse side effects does go up in some select cases.

    My number one concern is for type 1 diabetics. So all my type 1 preppers out there. What is your plan? What can you do and how do plan on something like this. My mom is type 1 and it’s something I think about all the time. Not even like for prepper survival but what if something happens and she can’t buy her insulin for like a month or something. They’d just let her die. I think insulin should be free or close to free. Type 1 diabetes is sneaky. Imagine getting stuck on an island with type 1. Or breaking down in the desert. Or getting caught in a hurricane. Every diabetic should be given a lifetime supply. And ways to synthesize it in emergencies. Or something idk. I know people have died because they couldn’t afford their insulin. It disgusts me that it’s expensive as it is. And having a pump is considered a luxury when it shouldn’t be. Those thing’s literally cost 5009 dollars or more.

    • @stevep2448
      @stevep2448 4 місяці тому +1

      Get your doc to prescribe more insulin than necessary. Some docs will understand and roll with it.
      Erm... I wouldn't suggest exaggerating how many units are actually being taken by your mom, even though the doc won't know any better. That would be unethical, and it's definitely not what I did. Nope. Hospitals will not usually follow your prescription - they'll determine the dose on their own - so no worries there. I can lie or I can protect my life.
      Refill the script as soon as you're able. Use old stock first. Eventually, you'll build an overstock. Sealed, properly refrigerated insulin can last up to a year (please verify for your brand) . No freezing, no warming, keep away from light, etc. You can look up the best temps for storage. I keep mine in a mini fridge at 36-40F so I can monitor and regulate everything - and plug it into a jackery if necessary.
      I'm type II, so I'm not familiar with type I scripts, our how usage is tracked. So your mileage may vary... but I went a month without due to my insurance company being corporate, and I'll never do that again.

    Made the purchase of antibiotics from[ jase medical ]. I got dog and fish antibiotics that worked better. I informed them that some of the product was chalky and I always associated that with old meds they replied back with some hogwash basically not owning up to a bad outdated product.
