True. The way he disposed of those 3 guys @ 2:15 makes it look like a piece of cake lol. His guide is so helpful though and even though I'm only finishing the mission with a shred of health and much more sloppily I definitely wouldnt be able to without this guide. And also, I have absolutely no idea how I managed to do this as a 9 yr old in 97 with no internet lmao.
I’ve been playing this ALOT recently on 00 Agent. I’m close to expert level now. My personal best is only 4 deaths through the entire campaign. REALLY hard to accomplish no deaths.
Thanks again. So much easier with directions where to go. I was totally losing my bearings wandering around the opening the same unnecessary units, being forced to engage with endless enemies taking shots at me from a distance from all angles. I'm playing on the new xbox version, only real difference is I found the number of troops waiting for you to the left as you come out the units to be less consistent, had between 1-6 there. Thanks again
The potential troll guard you mentioned at the very end... I had 2. One came through the door as I cracked the safe open and threw a grenade at me while I had low health. Nearly shat myself. Got through with no further damage thankfully. Then there was another one waiting behind the huge metal door that leads to the train. He was crouched and aiming down his sights BEFORE THE DOOR WAS UP. Still scraped by, though. My TV might have had a controller embedded in the screen if those dudes got me. I had just failed a run right before that because I forgot the safe key. Learning to beat some of these missions is stressful lmao
Dude, these videos are a godsend with the re-release. Unfortunately the Xbox version doesn't have the "run strafe" as far as I can tell, but take what you can get.
@@MrTedMcForehead The Xbox at least has a default to modern FPS controls, where the left stick is both run and strafe. You might be able to assign buttons to strafe but I haven't tried. I think the Switch as more classic controls.
Taking out the drone guns are always the worst part of missions for me. I always tried using the rocket launcher, but it wouldn't always work out until now. Thanks a lot!
It's been so long since I played Goldeneye that I forgot where the damn safe key is. Thank you! Playing it again for the first time in a long time now that the game is on Switch. I can't believe I missed the key when it was in the same room as the damn computers.
@@australian6983 i dont remember exactly how it works.. you either have to beat the mission on agent and secret agent or you have to beat the previous missions on 00 agent.. something like that. i just start off the new file with dam 00 agent and play every mission on 00 agent only
There are so many guys shooting at me in this level I cant even snipe the dude at the door for the communications room. I try and just blow by them and get the objectives done but its impossible.
Which room is the communications room? It helps when you strafe run since in this mission the guards don't start infinitely spawning for like 1 minute. Outside the weapons cash there's usually only guys outside the door (blow with up with the proxy mines) and then the guys on the left side as seen in the video.
@@MrTedMcForehead so I shoot those first three guys and a single guy comes out from behind me from the first building to the right (if I'm facing that fence you need to go through). Once I go through that fence, 3 or 4 guys come from that first bay door to the left. There are a couple others throughout the level that are just too far away to accurately get a shot on in the dark. Those are usually the problem.
@@MrTedMcForehead I can usually just run to the communications room but I take so much damage on the way there because there are so many random guys shooting at me.
@@ismaelvega4780 wtf.... are you going really slowly or? you should never be seeing anyone other than the first 3 guards at the very beginning. after you kill the first 3 you should be clear all the way into the weapons cache. you're either going too slow or you're on an emulator that has completely different spawns and stuff than the console version? i've never once seen anyone between the 3rd guard and the weapons cache because the infinite guards dont start for 60 seconds.
@@MrTedMcForehead I'm using an emulator. That's probably why. I was wondering why you aren't getting as many spawns in your playthrough. I thought I had unlocked an all new level of difficulty with the amount of guards running around.

Thanks heaps I've haven't played goldeneye for about 10 years and now it's on xbox I have heaps of nostalgia and this has helped so much your Chanel is underrated
you seem to be the only one on earth with some of these problems you're commenting in the videos haha. in my hundreds of playthroughs none of these things have happened to me once.
I was having a similar problem and found out through trial and error that I was going too slow. My extra guards were coming through the chain link fence gate into the area where the first 3 guards are. More guards spawn if you take too long. After I realized that, I was consistently making it to the weapons cache without running into more guards after the first 3. Nobody opened doors behind me. Don't pick up ammo from the 2nd and 3rd guards and just keep moving. Strafe run straight to the weapons cache. My problem wasn't exactly like yours but it did involve guards spawning in an area not too far away, so maybe they were the same guards? Idk
@@MrTedMcForehead if you mess up the beginning killing those 3 guards it does seem to spawn endless guys. Just happened to me. Second playthough I got the 3 just like in the video and the place wasn't swarming
i will do a cheat unlock tutorial for every cheat and i may do another series like this playing on xbox. also might reupload a few missions that i have better/more clear strategies for. i play this game once every 2 weeks or so off camera though.
