I was a big early fan, even corresponded with them. My buddy saw this show. He said it blew him away. I saw Psychik TV about 6 years later. Genesis had me thinking philosophically for sure. They got into my ego and scared me.
This is so fucked to see this after 25 years of loving this CD (my first TG purchase). I never could imagine what it looked like, similar to finally seeing a radio voice's face after many years.
wow! a great new perspective on one of my favorite live recordings!!! This album was recorded live at the Kezar Pavillion, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California on the evening of 29th May 1981. It was the very last concert by Throbbing Gristle whose personnel on that night were Genesis P-Orridge, Peter Christopherson, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Chris Carter. Thank you for this!
@England5is5the5best I'm an American, a Southerner actually, and I am a huge fan of TG as well as industrial music in general. You don't have to be English to like this music. Hell, the concept of noise and electronic music originates in other countries, such as Germany (with Stockhausen and krautrock) and Italy (with Luigi Russolo). John Cage and VU had a lot of influence over industrial music, too and they're both American. Also, all those people in the audience are Americans (it's SF).
I was there second from the front row. The most influential show I ever saw. Accept for maybe SPK in Lawrence Kansas.
Just visited Kezar pavilion
if this is back in 1981, they had some balls going on stage doing this kind of thing
You said it! There were only a few - TG, SPK - the start of Industrial...
And yet the San Francisco guys seemed to be fine with it, more than fine

I was at this show !!!! So cool to actually see what was going on.
The shots of Gen look like a Francis Bacon painting. Amazing.

I like Discipline, Persuassion, Vision and Voice & Guts on the Floor
How could this have been recorded in 1983 when TG's mission was terminated in 1981?(meaning they split up) -This was actually 29th May 1981.

5;30 when the rhythm begins, things for me really get exciting though I am a fan boy for most of their work. The vocal distortion is fab-ah-buh-ski.
