I got my Octaswitch already and it's very good and easy to use, my only complain is Octaswitch has had to be designed to use plugged to the front of an amp (preamp) and the effect's loop in the back of an amp at the same time. So we can get a distortion in the front and an echo in the loop in one preset and with just press once.... I let this inquietude for you Carl Matin's Techs, the MK III might be as good as that!
Super fedt! I'm considering buying this, only problem is... i have 10 pedals O.o Luckily, i just happen to not use two of them in our current set anyway, so i might purchase this :D But just to be sure, is it possible to somehow add more send/return inputs on this piece?
@Metafuzz Yep! The dirty channel is only assigned to preset 3 in the video. When you hit preset one ore two it's back on the clean amp channel ;-) You can read more about it here. w w w .carlmartin. com/product_octaswitch_MK_2.htm All the best
Ive just received my new Carl Martin OCTA SWITCH-II however i dont want to use 2 9v batteries but the power supply is not marked. Is it 18 volt since it takes 2 9v batteries?
How would you set up the external switches to work with an amp that normally uses one foot controler for "channel select" and "reverb"? I have a Blackstar HT Club 50. It uses one foot controler with two switches. One for the channel select and one for the reverb. So say I want to use Ext #1 for Channel Switching and Ext #2 for my amp's Reverb. How can I go about doing this? Is it possible?
@Pedalmakers You're welcome Does it switch back to your clean (or other) channel on your amp when leaving the third preset, to go back to preset 1 or 2? =>from situation at 3:08 (or is the dirty channel still activated then?) it's just nice to know :) thx
Does this work with an effects loop? In other words, what if you have one group of effects BEFORE the amp (wahs, distortions, etc) and other effects AFTER the amp (delay, chorus etc) coming from an effects loop? Will that be an issue?
This type of device only works if you have all pedals before the amp and nothing in the amp's FX loop. Since I run delay, reverb, EQ and clean boost after the amp's preamp stage (the amp's FX loop) this would be useless to anyone running a similar configuration.
can i use multiple loops at one time or when i select another loop does it always turn the previous one off. ijust want to make sure i can layer multiple sounds if i wanted to. thanks

Excellent demo thanks for sharing. Now considering buying one of these.

@Pedalmakers nice! :) that's very convenient, thx for your answer
Mine is on its way!
Great idea

hi great demo did you make your own patch leads up?

@pedalmakers Can you give me some info about the polarity of the needed power supply please? :)
I really need one, great stuff!...

Comes with power supply? Thanks from Portugal.

what if you want to use your effects loop so you can have a delay in your effects loop but still kontrol it with the octa-switch? :P ^^

Is it possible the 4 cable method (use the fx loop and the front?
how aout all the popping noises and switching problems R they solved?
I need this..!
Polarity? What kind of power supply use octal switch?

how many pedals can you use with this ?
this is pretty much a cheaper gcx?
Is there a smaller version of this? like 4 channels?
Super!
@Metafuzz Thanx a lot ;-)
@Steve Penaloza That makes absolutely no sense.
This pedal is pretty cool but John frusciante would never use it because he goes what ever feels good just as I do as well so not good in that case
@WASD9ox Octa = Eight. Greetings.
