the thing they do though is if you listen to Nadir, they run the Drop C guitars through an octave Whammy pedal a whole octave down. so the bass, guitar and octave guitars take up all this fucking space. It's ridiculous. they used to have a bass player but I think they run a track now for all the low end because of this. LOL it's crazy
I disagree. They can add as many strings on the guitar and tune down as low as they can get; without a bass player (in tune with the guitars) it sounds thin and empty. With musical respect to Eddie and Aaron, this band is boring and offers nothing that a thousand other 'core' bands are doing.
I've heard that it can help with nerves and some others say it helps them feel connected to the stage, the bassist from Tesseract plays barefoot as does Ian Gillan, Bjork, Madonna even Tim Minchin...
Alex is such a beast. Even the security is moving their heads to this shit...it's inevitable, you can't help it lol.
These guys live are worth a watch
need more of this
Who needs a bass player when you have 30" scale double drop tuned guitars?
i never noticed they don't have a bass player
There's no bass capable of matching such heaviness as a bass should. So it's better to sample sub bass and trigger it live

Should fully change there name to bare foot
They hurt live.. I saw them in London and man.. It was intense , I think I got smacked in the head during the breakdown.
you think ? XP
Wait, do they not have a bass player? Do they not need one because they play so low?
Nope. 2 8 strings downtuned is all that's needed 😂
They play an octave below drop d, so a bassist wouldn’t really be necessary.

They’re not using 8 strings anymore. They’re using 30” scale length baritones, 6 and 7 string.
@@observer7555 This is such an ignorant comment, especially considering that Nadir exists and is straight up a blackened doom masterpiece.
John cena plays bass for these guy's cause you can't see him 🤣
1st song name?
Its Forshadow and Waste. They play it differently live
Alex Teyen fuckin kills
why are they barefoot tho
Probably a UK thing lol

Wow
I wonder if a clangy sounding bass would match. kind of Korn or Big Black (if you remember Big Black at all!)
Barefoot...?
As always
Oof.
Great band, but the sound guy sucks.
