- Video demonstrates HTS-735-II joining two aluminum pieces by butt joint. Important points are clean the aluminum, heat the aluminum until it is hot enough to melt the HTS-735-II brazing rod. Do not put the rod in the flame. The aluminum must melt the rod for proper use.
I thought it would break when he was beating on it. Definitely impressive!
I have used this product and it works great! I ride an off road motorcycle and used a butt weld like in this video to reattach the ball end of my clutch lever. I also repaired the rear sprocket, some holes and the mounting brackets of my muffler plus a hinge on my BBQ. All of these were done almost 2 years ago.
If the aluminum is hot enough to melt the rod, IT WILL WORK!
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and/or call the factory rep if you are having problems!
HTS-735-11 Welding Aluminum with a Propane Torch
are these aluminum rods stiffer than copper rods of equal gauge?
Hi Stefan These Rods are around 1/8 inch thick and 18 inches long.
Not sure what you are trying to do
I can never get this stuff to work. Starting to think it's BS

Call the factory rep if you are having problems with the rod. It does work when applied correctly.
It not magic you must follow the instructions. I have posted many videos or you can call for help.
