You've honestly changed the way I approach lines, (since I watched the hatching tutorial video). I really enjoyed this tour! Would you ever consider hosting some sort of art retreat, or doing online classes? I'd really love to get the opportunity to learn more from you.
Thank you so much! I honestly would love to do art retreats, and I hope I’ll be able in the future! Being in Italy I’d have to find a place closer to everybody for us to meet together, hopefully in the future 🤞🏼♥️ I’m thinking about online classes and hope in a closer future I’ll be able to manage and balance work and life so that’ll have time to do that too! Thank you so much for the encouragement 🫶🏻♥️🦇
@@vespertiliu I also second this. You have inspired me to get back into a regular practice. I have been discouraged a few times already but I’m pushing through. It’s cool to see you sketching directly in pen and hearing thoughts on it. I’ve started drawing with pen myself and it has helped me get over my perfectionistic viewpoint. Thank you very much for your videos!😊
i found you very recently, but you had the most influence on me than any other artist. im finally more free with my art and i enjoy iy like never before. the whole thing about embracing mistakes changed my whole view on art. thank you
Thanks for sharing, you've really given me a jump start to get back into drawing regularly. Also I can't speak to the rest of the English world but we call it Ace of Clubs in the US, thanks for teaching me something new!
The page 'column' is beautiful! I wish to share this video. I feel i know a couple of people who will greatly benefit from hearing you say, embrace your mistakes in art. Beautiful sketchbook tour! ❤😊❤
I think pen have this idea of "it's impossible to not make mistakes" because we tend to seek perfection in everything we love to do, but the fact is that there is no such thing as perfection in art. The way we use our mistakes is actually what makes the beauty of the thing. Anyway, loved your video and art!
Your fine detail is so very well done. That and I must admit, I like the way you say Ohuhu. Thank you for recommending the Platinum fountain pen in a different video. I purchased one for myself and use it every single day. I look forward to what you'll share in the future.
thank you for this video! i always wonder how to sketch without using pencil ( i rely heavily on erasing all my visible mistakes ) and seeing this video, knowing someone's whose work i admire also had to deal with mistakes along the way give me a push to attempt to do it too. i can't wait for more, much love from Puerto Rico🖤
Hellooooo!!! Absolutely the best part about drawing directly with a pen is that you must embrace mistakes for mistakes are inevitable! It really puts us in the condition of learning how looking for perfection is really the biggest waste of time. We can correct mistakes and move on! Trying to avoid mistakes, in art as in life, just makes us not experience the whole thing 🫶🏻🦇♥️
I loved this sketchbook tour! I like to always see the scans of your sketchbook on your substack newsletter and it's great to hear you go through page by page and talk about your process. I'm very inspired by you!
I love your compositions, cross hatching, and simplistic style! Ur one of my biggest inspirations and I’m so happy that you have gotten to do so many opportunities!❤ I wish the best for you and your future 😼🤌✨
i love your channel so much, you are definitely my favorite art channel right now😭 id love to see a video for the other sketchbook too, your sketchbook tours are very interesting to watch
I really like moleskin sketch ✍️ book 📕 the paper is really smooth and great for sketching! I agree perfectionist can be tiring I struggle with it! It can take me weeks to finish a sketch ✍️ Sketching wile having fun when finished can make me feel good. BTW your landscape sketching is amazing! Thank you 🙏 Vespertiliu 💕
Great video! You really have motivated me to start drawing again after many years! One question,in a previous video you mentioned the Mike mignola method on drawing rocks, could you explain it as it seems a very interesting skill to learn and put on practice!
Actually, the Pilot HI-TEC-C and G-TEC-C pens are refillable, you just just have to purchase refills that are either in singles or in packs. I've bought a pack of black ones before. ☝
Do it! This was a ring that lost its stone and I simply attached a small drawing I did on it and sealed it with clear superglue (make sure to wear glasses or some kind of eye protection if you try it) ♥️🦇
It says EF as in Extra Fine but honestly to achieve really thin lines you need to hold the nib upside down (which I never do because I’m good with the lines I can get) hope this helps 🫶🏻🦇♥️
Why is no one talking about that ring! I looove it!!!!! Did you make it yourself? How? Is it drawn on top oder engraved in the metal?? I would love to buy one haha AMAZING 😍🩷
wow i love your sketchbook, it’s so cool that it kinda follows one character only(a true baddie), i’ve seen so little of these kinda tours recently, i’m so glad i found you and saw your video!!! and you are beautiful! i just have one thing to say, it was a little hard to see the art and focus on the beauty, you moved ur hands on top of the art a lot and my eyes got a little dizzy🤣 i don’t mean it in a bad way!!!!
Where I come from if you find a spider in your home it means you got bugs living somewhere near where they put up their webs and you should probably find out where the bugs are entering from or coming around to eat and do something to get rid of them then the spider will leave to go live somewhere else.
@@vespertiliu oh! I didn’t know that! I guess so? I just started watching your videos mainly the hour long draw with me. I’m just curious who the girl is you draw all the time. Her design is really cute
Hi. I totally get your pov, but let me quickly explain my vision to you. A sketchbook in its literal practical meaning is “a book of sketches”, however I’m sure that if you are an artist too, you know how deeply we all care and cherish our relationship with Art. On a deeper level, a sketchbook tour is a safe space for an artist to explore with new things, for trial and error AND for success, to discover right solutions. If your sketchbook is filled with unfinished sketches, that’s totally fine, but let me reassure you that if you choose to go on with that sketch on your sketchbook, it’s totally fine and in your right. You have to do whatever you want with your sketchbook because it’s a place to let you experiment whatever you want! It’s messy? It’s clean? Full of finished artworks? Full of empty pages? Either way IT’S FINE and it still remains your sketchbook: your ideal safe space for you to be your most authentic artist self. Hope this helps you get more comfortable with your relationship with your sketchbooks 🫶🏻♥️
Thanks to your videos I got inspired. After 16 years, I just made my first real drawing again. It took me all night. Thank you, Veronica.

Your art is so different than most other UA-cam artists I find and follow. So detailed and gorgeous! I also love your ring & nails!

This isn't a sketchbook tour, its a drawing book tour. Sketching and drawing are two very different things, a sketch comes before a drawing.
