    I got my first Bibles from church Bible publishing ...today.
    ..A red one in the TURQUOISE collection with the red cover very nice and also a blue one in the large print. Text only..BOTH patterns on the Cambridge collection but there as good as anything I've ever seen. thanks for the recommendation

    Even the 9.5 font in SOVEREIGN series is quite readable and w good references at bottom. Nelson will sell 50 of these for every Quentel I reckon.

      I think the markets for the Bibles are different, though. The people looking at Schuyler will buy the Schuyler regardless because they like the materials and printed in the Netherlands. But Zondervan/Nelson is just completely owning the low to mid-range market because they keep coming out with great editions in every translation, with good paper, covers, and fonts. If only they started putting vinyl liners on more cheaper Bibles instead of paper, they could really be changing the game.

      5 fast pennies vs. one slow nickel, different business models.

    Could you please consider writing the ISBN in the description box? It's extremely difficult to purchase this edition without the ISBN. I'm in another country with different packaging & dozens of editions in Thomas Nelson.
    You are reviewing on an international platform where the only solid reference to your subject is that number.
    Thanks.

    Looks like a little less ghosting in the vintage series vs the regular thinline 😍

    I am getting spoiled a bit by colour and I almost have to have or want to have some colour on the cover and along the lines of the preaching Bible I like to have two colors on the inside either blue and black or red and black as in the preaching Bible and also in the Schuyler Quentel.

    Is something like this available in goatskin leather?

      Hi Anthony. They don't have it in goatskin. The closest they have is the giant print - biblebuyingguide.com/premier-collection-kjv-giant-print-thinline-bible/

    I LIKE thicker bibles better than thin and spread out..bigger footprint.
    CAMBRIDGE LARGE PRINT text ONLY..with pronouncing. . in text. Is great.

    Is the pebbly cover on these kjv the same as what's used on the deluxe Thomas Nelson nkjv ?

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  3 роки тому

      I think it is, but I'd need to see it to be sure. It's the same as all the Thomas Nelson black imitation leather that I've reviewed for the past few months. Do you have a link to the Bible you're referring to?

      Hi. It's really hard for me to choose just one, but the one that I've used the most might be the Cambridge Concord - amzn.to/3CF1CZh

    I want to like these but I don’t like the font on the covers for all except the burgundy - reminds me of an old b movie horror poster.

    Doesn't thin line use thinner paper so ghosting?

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, unless it's a premium Bible. Cambridge and other use paper that's thinner than this (28gsm Indopaque from France) and has far less show-through because of titanium pigment.

    I like that the NASB Bibles use the italics for missing words .
    I don't like that the ESV does NOT use italics for the missing words.
    .. because it's almost like it's not being honest or it's not full disclosure .
    so I like NASB following the King James version and also the new King James Version with italics. More honest . I don't like ESV or NIV AS much anymore. But THEY ARE BOTH still BIBLES..AND by definition ARE good.
