I own a personal size NKJV full color study bible 2nd edition that I couldn't use since the print was rather small especially the study notes. But thank God that my new progressive glasses have made all print nice and sharp. The NKJV is now my main study bible!
I received this July 2021 as a 🎂 birthday gift. I am an avid Bible researcher but yet a novice to the scriptures even though I've been baptized for a number of years and yearning to learn something new each time I study the scriptures. I hope and pray I'm worthy.
Very good review! Was looking for a NKJV study bible and I think this one hits the sweet spot. I appreciate the more conservative information (within the study notes) as well -- I'm a believer that over time, we all come to develop our nuances through reading, researching, and the Holy Spirit.
Was in the market for a Bible to call my own since I got a family owned Bible that’s been passed from generation to generation and wanted to have a Bible to call my own and this study Bible was a great way for me to understand
One of the best reviews I've seen. I am a "returning" Christian and I am looking dust myself off and start my walk over. I really liked this bible and think I my make the investment. Thank you again and I'm open to suggestions!
Great review I have this coming in the mail in the calfskin edition. I’m not Baptist more like bapticostal 😀 but the notes seem to leave room for the reader to make up their own mind on some of those controversial subjects. And the bonded leather looks surprisingly good!
Well, you're definitely improving. Would help if you can get the Bible so we can read the top Title of the article, and pull the Bible close enough to get it in focus to be able to read in the video, even if just for a few words. I like that your camera focus is on the Bible and you edited it so that you could find actual examples. Keep it up!
do you know if this Bible's interpretive notes by contributors from some of the particular seminaries, interpret some theology through Dispensational lenses or would you say, at least offer up all views or alternate counter views next to their own lens. thanks.
NLT changes some important ket verses. Although I used to like it i think what they’ve changed is too important to overlook. Nkjv is easy enough toreador as a new believer. This Bible is great for a new Christian
Thank you for the very good review !😊 I have the NIV Study Bible which is 20 years old. Looking to get a new one ( NKJV ) Study Bible but I came across a few comments on another site saying there's no red lettering for Jesus' words for this one, the Full colour Comfort print edition. Is that true?
This is what i've been waiting for the NKJV Full Color Study Bible by Nelson, all I know is it's available only in KJV.I'm partial to NKJV.I supposed this is the same done a while back by those affiliated with Liberty University in Lynchburg,Virginia if I'm not mistaken.but no available in NKJV. I watched your review of the NIV Full Color Study Bible before this video,I wonder if you can make a comparison of NKJV Full Color study Bible and NIV Full Color study Bible, that would be interesting. Thanks for this video.
From what I know, the notes are from the Liberty Bible. Liberty sold to Thomas Nelson. I have the old Liberty annotated Bible in KJV, but of course it is not in color and no in text maps or charts. Definitely Baptist pre-millenial theology.
@@mahjonggmjb You mean the notes here are the same as those edited by the late Dr.Jerry Falwell and the faculty of Liberty University which if I am not mistaken is also published by Thomas Nelson.
Thank you for the review I would like for you to compare the csb study Bible with the new King James Study Bible. I also would like to suggest that you study the differences between Calvinism and arminianism in reference to traditionalism or also call progressivism. The reason I suggest that is cuz I'm not a reformed I'm not harmoniyam I am a traditionalist Baptist
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). “By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” All glory to god:desiring god
The main text is 9 point, which is fine. The study notes are smaller, which might be a problem for some. These are pretty typical font sizes, though, for a study Bible because they are packing a lot of information into a small space.
The Bible "doesn;t take hardline positions," yet it is called "a conservative evangelical Bible?" Reminds me of the words of 1 Kings 18:21 "How long will ye halt between two opinions?" God is not the author of confusion; the Bible says what it means and it means what it says. Too bad, I was going to buy this Bible.
per versions!!!! most people don't know but to get a copyright it must be significantly different than the original imagine 10,20,200 versions later 🤔only the king James stands the test all else is perverted
Actually this is nonsense & you're acting like an idiot. If anything the Geneva Bible is God's preserved word. you KJV only type people want to argue and fight over Bible translations when we should be uniting together for Christ. God bless you.

@@DanielLopes-vl6rqI might tonight.
@@DanielLopes-vl6rqI’m really interested after using NIV for years, I just think the amount of notes in this overwhelms me slightly lol.
Thanks for your excellent review, Tim. I have an earlier edition of the NKJV Study Bible. It keeps getting better and better.
Looks like you convinced me to buy a copy of the NKJV Study Bible! No topical index as in the Open Bible. However, lots of nice charts and lists.
Thank you for the review and showing the notes on 1 Corinthians 13
You're welcome!
Nice Review. I just received this Bible today send by a friend.
Thanks Tim, k have asked my children to buy this for me as a birthday present next February
Thank you, Tim, always appreciate your perspective. Good review
Awesome review!
Great review. That’s an awesome Bible. Thomas Nelson is doing an awesome job on their new editions.
Yes they are. And they're getting a lot of attention for it, too!
The in text maps are vibrant and abundant. MikeInMinnesota

That's awesome, bapticostal 😂 That calfskin will be fantastic, I'm sure. I agree that the bonded leather is really quite nice for what it is.
You just gave a term to how I have been thinking about my beliefs..."Bapticostal"!
An update - my children did not remember to buy this for my birthday so l ordered it myself.
Very helpful review, thank you so much!

Does anyone know if this NKJV study Bible will be coming out in a Thomas Nelson's "Premier Collection" edition?
Beautiful Bible. Does it contain life-application notes?

Between the Nelson and Holman NKJV study bibles, which would you suggest for Arminians? Thanks!
I am not really sure. I don't think either of them would come from an Arminian perspective.
What Bible would you recommend? The most accurate for a beginner ?
I think the NIV is very friendly and approachable for starting

What's the price and where can I get one?
I was wondering why didn't Nelson do the center colume reference with the grayed out background like they did in the kjv.
I missed it. Is it a sewn binding?

Is this red letter for the words of Jesus ?
No they don’t have it in red letter unfortunately
