He is still GREAT!!!! He is one of a kind!!! Never does anyone come close to Bryan Ferry!!! His sultry music, mesmerize your mind!!!! He is the classiest singer, and dresser of all time!!! Loved him in the 60's, 70's, and the great 80's!!! Thak You for great music!!!🎶🎶🎶🎶......
So sorry to have missed the concert of their 50 years anniversary.....i am from Holland and i am die hard fan since the early days in the '70. Now i am almost 67 year and still dancing on their music. They are the very very best ......thank you for uploading this incredible peace of their library.
It is an incredible performance & recording. Play it every so often on remastered 180 gm vinyl when I need a shot of life "when I was young"! Sick track so far ahead of it's time. McKay is genius!
I haven't heard "Viva Roxy Music" in years, but that was the one track I played over and over again. Those ending minutes were transcendental. Now, I've just got to hear it again. I hope it's here on UA-cam. This one here sounds like a car commercial.
I would know Roxy sound anywhere.and Bryan Your voice not quite as it was naturally but hey I would know that fabulous style and sound anywhere.you must be so proud and happy to be performing in your advancing years.such style.i love Bryan and Roxy.
Oh my God, what artists !! Listen young people learn !! Finally throw the smartphones out of your hands, and put your mind to work, to write this kind of music !!!!
Saw them on their first stop in Toronto a couple of weeks ago; it was good however the songs were shorter as well as the entire concert which made it an expensive performance for only about 1.5 hours. I saw them for the first time back in '83 as well as '01 both were fantastic. Time has caught up w/ Bryan's vocals but Phil & Andy were excellent. Glad we went though.
Icónico en su tiempo los mejores músicos en sus respectivos instrumentos y la mejor interpretación en esa época no tan lejana por qué la calidad y su contenido sigue vigente... The Best...
Bryan was so good to mention the late bassist Alan Spenner in a Q&A with The Guardian a few months ago. Spenner and guitarist Neil Hubbard were part of Roxy’s greatest rhythm section (with drummer Andy Newmark) when Avalon came out.
Does anyone know who the second drummer is? And for that matter, why in the world would you need 2 drummers when you have the brilliant Paul Thompson??
I'm a Roxy Music fan of many years and looking at videos of the 2022 tour. Very hard to find one with good sound for the bass. This is one of the best. Neil Jason played on at least two Roxy albums but I think this tour was the first time he played live with the band.
I agree that the ticket prices were crazy. In the end, it resulted in a half-filled house and we were moved from our less expensive seats to some really prime seats near the stage. My only hope is that scalpers got caught losing lots of $ on overpriced prime seats.
Have been a fan since early eighties en saw them in Rotterdam in 2001. But in all honesty: Bryan's voice is no more. He should have been a pensionado after Frantic.
I started University in Newcastle the same day as Bryan in 1964. I was asked to front a new band but turned them down and he got the gig instead. Having seen bands like the Beatles in the 1960's with only the 4 of them I never understand why they need so many people on stage these days.
@@barrydavidson6155 well you had 3 long time back up singers and 3 additional musicians and of course the ubiquitous video screens. I knew going in I would not be seeing them in their prime and Bryan's voice wavered here and there. In the end while I would have loved a longer set with longer set list I left very happy 😊
@@Fordsworld "Lost some range and timbre", you're not wrong there, Ford, in fact you might say, completely shot! I love Roxy, saw them several times over the years, but this is quite painful.
FFS Bryan's voice is like a raspy whisper now. I sat this tour out and the prices were sky high, anyway at MSG. I saw them 2x in 2000s and that's good enough for me. This is kind of disturbing.

I saw them at the Beacon Theater in '75. I'm glad to see they're still at it. This is great.
Viva Roxy Musique
Madison Square.... God's waiting room for the greatest old pop stars.
Great music and bad! Having a gorgeous lead singer with haunting vocals didn’t hurt!
The live version of this on their album Viva! is the very best thing Roxy Music ever released. Thank you for posting this.
Got to agree, it never dates, still gives me the chills at “shake your head girl “, absolute classic on Viva!, 10 minutes of bliss.

Now I got it: tin machine covered this!
Such a great performance and a great song.
Over the years Bowie got more and more open in displays of admiration for Ferry...but I don't think Bryan ever returned the favor!
I'm seeing them in Boston tomorrow night! I can't wait! I LOVE Bryan Ferry!!
HOW WAS THE SHOW GIVE US A REVIEW
That is awesome! Can't wait to see them in SF!
I was at msg on sept 12. It was a wonderful concert and mr ferry was very cool good charming smiling!
I was there last night. Awesome show!
me too ! it was fantastic !!
Saw RM at The Bingley Hall on their 1976 Siren tour in Birmingham UK

Howay the Roxy!
Im 72 ive loved them day one bryan was one sexy looking man in days gone by x
Pitt they couldn't do a show in Newcastle one
Of ferry's first ever shows was at Newcastle City Hall 1974
I think that's when playing Do the Strand Bryan sang Eskimos and Geordies ! instead of Eskimos and Chinese - the crowd went mad of course, good times

Seeing them in LA at the end of this month!❤
Gosh, Roxy and I have the same birthday🎉
new music please : )))))))) . the band sounds vital and amazing here.
Great band 30 years ago.
Not worth $200 a ticket today though.
Glad I saw them when I did. Late 70's at Ford Auditorium in Detroit. They were at their peak then and I only paid $6.50 for a ticket.
Fonzi Thorton held it all down that night!
We were supposed to be there!! 😢

Ferry, Manzanera, Mackay and Paul Thompson on drums.
