ASMR is Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. ASMR releases a soothing, tingly response in some individuals that can calm anxiety and promote better sleep. Different studies suggest individuals with higher levels of anxiety and depression are more likely to benefit from ASMR.
