Kinanâskomitin (thank you) for the shout out. I rarely check for mentions, but for some reason I clicked on the tab today. I know it's two months late, but I'm grateful nonetheless.
This looks very neat, didn't know about this forum as a resource for solo stuff at all. Fantastic! Also congratulations on pushing past 3k subscribers! Awesome!
Thank you my friend! There are a bunch of other BFRPG solo modules as well by the same author, and there's a bunch of discussion on solo play on the forums :D I'm really tempted to submit some art for the project whenever I get free time!
@@Chaoclypse I love the whole movement (or whatever a good term for it is) behind BFRPG, it's such a low barrier of entry for new players wanting to take a stab at an OSR type game. Would be cool to see you enter the scene as a contributor there for sure!
This was cool! 👏 I just started soloing Curse of Strahd on my channel, I seem to recall you asking about soloing larger prewritten adventures, so it’s there if you’re still interested. If you don’t have the time my method is: 1. Make a party 2. Look at the starting area map 3. Start reading where it makes sense according to the map I generally don’t read ahead. I never read the adventure ahead of time. And I rarely use extraneous solo material. That’s it. Hope all’s well!
Thank you! I like the idea of doing that, I suppose it works better with some adventures than others (depending on how much interconnected information is revealed to the GM!)
@@Chaoclypse Yes, this far I have just done 5e adventures, and there I feel it works well. But I will try others later on, but I’m also playing 4AD right now, and I don’t I want to juggle more than two games at the same time. But I will start either OSE or Knave 2e after 4AD finishes.
This was very cool. I was hoping for future follow up sessions to the story... Before the twist at the end, where mission was completed but everyone died. Was this a solo adveture you found somewhere or your own ?
Curious to see how this plays. I bought the rulebook but decided to stick with FMAG for the moment. Was thinking about running a BFRPG campaign through discord though.
FMAG is excellent! Id also check out Delving Deeper and Iron Falcon (made by the BFRPG creator), both are free online. Delving Deeper is my favourite of the OD&D clones at the moment, though that may change as I just got Swords & Wizardry!

@@toddlyons No problem Todd! Love your channel and the videos you produce.
Fantastic stuff! Keep it up!

BFRPG is my go-to system. It's a great game and has wonderful support. It would be awesome to see more of BFRPG on your channel.
Cheers!
Oooh! I LOVE little pamphlet adventures. Great video!
Thanks Matt!

There is a link to where I got it in the description!
@@ChaoclypseExcellent thanks !!
A Burgomaster/meister is something like a mayor. It translates to "master of the town"
Lol you got it, nvm
Excellent stuff!
Thank you friend!
Great solo adventure great to watch you playing it.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Waiting for the next solo rpg season 😏
Burgomaster is the mayor. I believe the author is Dutch, where the word for mayor is burgemeester.
Ah yeah, I looked it up and noted that around 5:00! Thanks though :D
@@Chaoclypseah, sorry. Ran my Dutch mouth off too soon 😅
