This is literally my problem eversince maining GS on my first MH game, it's hard to try other weapons when you always get flashbacks when you see that window for charge attack everytime you hunt monsters
Good thing i started out with learning 3 weapons when i first got introduced into the series in rise sunbreak now o have at least 150 to 200+ hunts with every other weapon with switchaxe being my most used weapon.
In my opinion critical draw is a great armor skill to have if you use GS. If your draw attack is a level 3 charged attack then needless to say "THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE".
@@randomystrangery9730 I agree most people focus on the charged attacks. But What I meant was that charge attacks do a lot of damage with crit draw and that having that skill means you do more damage per hit on normal uncharged attacks as well so the skill is versatile in my opinion.
I'm new to the monster hunter series and I used too main hammer until the part where a urgent quest to kill rathian appeared, it was so hard to kill with a hammer, so I searched in mhp3 wiki how to beat rathian and it somehow led me here, and your video helped me kill rathian with a Greatsword, you deserve a sub and a notification for helping me kill a fire-breathing poisonous flying lizard that backflips.

@@R2Firsadi there are 3 levels for charge for the great sword, doing more damage the more you charge, sometimes even enough to stunn or stagger a monster
Early TL,DR since it may get confusing to read: I love your tutorials and wish to see Dual Blades next. Damn, this takes me like 7 years back (when I was around 10 y.o) with my PSP 2000 which had MHFU and MHP3rd with English. I remember maining Dual Blades specifically on the latter and GS + LS on the former, but when I revisited the game after you reminded me of it, I lost all muscle memory (except for painful arthritis due to what the lack of a second analog stick has done to me). I remember being proficient with it and even reached the big sand whale desert quest whose name I can't remember off the top of my head, however currently, I'm faced with some *skill issues* trying to relearn it unlike other classes I main (Ls-Gs-Lance) however there isn't that sense of uncomfort with this game's DB unlike ALL other games even if it's downright similar (not sure if I used stamina related items lol, I was stupid back then + I didn't understand the skill system and just equipped whatever had more defense and an example I vividly remember was Diablos' set in FU)

Maybe. I think 5th gen was so good for GS. Tackle is such an awesome move. Being able to force your way into an opening feels awesome. But I guess it could also make it feel like less care was required. Given that 5th gen also added a third charge level, I think it was more or less required, some way to get to or use the TCS otherwise GS wouldve just been nerfed with nothing to balance it.
I just started playing this game yesterday, i think greatsword is kinda newbie friendly for how big the damage is with much simpler gameplay mechanics, super fun to play
If you can figure out you're meant to sheathe your weapon after attacking, yeah, but not everyone understands that immediately lol Just doing draw attacks can get you pretty far though, for sure. Personally, SNS always felt so weak, and GS always felt so slow. I know better now, but I couldn't use either of em when I started out.
I remember being pretty spooked by new monsters in general, Kushala included. The music is really good IMO, and all Elder Dragons in the game have some sort of strategy that will make it much easier and actually pretty fun. For Kushala you need a long enough weapon to consistently stagger him (and flash bombs), Longsword is good, Greatsword is good. You can do it! His weapons and armor are also pretty good in general and if you use Bow or Greatsword it has Focus on it which will make you charge up faster. I think it works on Hammer too, but I don't know. I believe in you! 😄 It's okay to fail, but you should throw yourself at it, that will help you feel better about it and more confident in your future hunts with them. If you can play with others that can help a lot too. Keep it up! You got this!
