There is a joke buried somewhere, when we talk about the story of the latest expansion, and have to start with the SUNDERING, literally 10.000 years in the past. Then again, in most series', we'd call it good storywriting if a story wraps up or ties into some ancient things that happened in the world the story takes place on...
Concerning what has been revealed so far in patch 8.2 ptr, there's been some interesting parallels between the situation that Magni is in with the Heart of Azeroth and Neltharion with the Demon Soul. This also makes me think that Azeroth itself was 100% behind Vol'jin coming back and what Magni has been hearing since his return was actually the Old Gods pretending to be Azeroth. Just a theory, but its way too similar to what Neltharion went through with the exception of then turned Deathwing being fully aware of the voices guiding him.
I am surprised no one is talking about Priscilla, last we saw her was with Sylvanas. Then Horde players gets a dagger from Nzoth and tells them to take it to the warchief ... and now she (Priscilla) is in the Naga land having a deal with Queen Azshara. How come no one is talking about a possible connection here? or Am I missing some details?
I would rather watch this than actually play myself... I'm completely f**ing done with mission tables and the boring same f**ing quests day in and out... I'm not sure if I even bother to go "back" to classic whenever that gets out because why? Great story, but now you get great stories everywhere without a monthly sub...
what mission tables? i havent touched them at all unless to just send followers for some rep missions thats all, in bfa you can just ignore them and you know world quest are there just for rep and some minor rewards like gold or AP, they do not further the story at all

Why should I play when everyone I played with started dropping out with draenor and dissappearing completely just months after legion launched. I don't really care to play with people that are all 15 years younger than myself on average if not more. Sooo you kids have fun! Have some fun for me too! While I'm really having some acual fun with boosted v8's and low 8 slips.
This has probably been said before but: Xal'atath mentions that the player is the torch that lights the way. Aren't dungeons usually 5-man? N'Zoth is gonna be fully released in a 5-man dungeon! (Possibly more old god-stuff too)
It is good that nose of hers did not went live in game, because it would be hard to believe she was the "most beautiful elf" with such a nose. The nose she has in warbringers is as if she needed filter the air of her kingdom hourly. Damn.

I just wanted to give you a comment. I wish I have always given you more. I have followed you for so long, and you deserve so much more recognition than is given. You Should be given an official title for the lore you give to the community. I doubt you will ever read this comment, but you sir, are what really grounds me to the lore of this game, and for that I thank you.

The story is massive. It reminds me of LotR in many ways that it spans so many thousands of years in the history of the world. The world's origins and what the races that have come to inhabit play in it. The politics between them and the uniting for the sake of all while some rivalries still rear their heads amongst the fight against true evil.

Love your videos you helped me so much, started playing WoW when I was younger when burning crusade was released and I learned what to do but never why we were doing things other than what a 10 year old can understand from questing, you're videos are great to listen to on long trips and explain everything in great detail! One quick question is out of all o the characters I have seen have you got a lore video for general nazgrim? He became one of my favourite characters through the years and even at his end it is all about honour and what the horde was supposed to represent.

Hey, Nobble87, Do you think, there might be a connection in the lore, between the ending of the Cataclysm, and the current BFA expansion. If you can remember, in the "End Time" dungeon, we had to face off, against 4 of the Alliance/Horde leaders, which Blizzard currently puts a lot of focus on (Jaina, Sylvanas, Tyrande and Baine). Could you give your tough on this, or even make a speculation movie about the future of WoW? Have a nice one!
I believe that in the next expansion, the artifact weapons should somehow be infused with Azerite. Then, they become more powerful than they were before, and then you have a new weapon for 120-130. Maybe they stay the same, or maybe they evolve into something much better. Something like Thas'dorah could absorb some of the Azerite power, and upgrade through that. Story wise, IDK how that would go, but I really thought it was a good idea to have artifact weapons, and removing them just seemed weird.

I am a big fan of the lore and I was thinking of getting back into the game and I would like your opinion on this. Should I buy the game? Is it worth it now, as I hear players are quiting. I am more of a casual raider and I like doing old content and so much hard core raiding. Keep up the great work :D
Only you yourself can say if the game is worth it or not. I personally enjoy raiding and M+ when it's current, but am also on a break until the next patch hits. There's def reasons for people quiting, but again...your taste might be different!

They only justifiation that i can give is slyvanas is playing the double agent, playing the villain to make the war happen but i really dont see it happen. Too little hint of that and with the current blizz, i dont see them pull it of.
So, I am confident once Sylvanas is a loot pinata, it will be little consolation her plan was successful. I mean, if we are going to have Alliance division in the future, it's pretty darn clear what's going to happen is Anduin in 8.2/3 is going to make a hastily made peace treaty that enrages Tyrande and Genn. We they get what the proper WoW players want in the Alliance becoming the inexcusable villains with no excuses and their players whole heartedly support it.
The death of a Valkyr is a pittance compared to burning Teldrassil. Just like burning Taurajo was nothing compared to destroying Theramore. The Horde keeps getting off easy.
The sad thing is, I really like the story of the expansion. Jaina and the reclamation of kultiras as part of the alliance, talanji and the zandalari, N'zoth and the naga especially, its all pretty cool. But theres just not enough content to KEEP you playing. You can log in a few times a month and keep up with current content at a normal level. I just dont get what blizzard are thinking at this point.

Hello Nobble... i'm gonna start with i'm a great fan and ask for something... soooo you didn't talk much about what might happen to Sylvanas... like if they kill her it's just Garrosh all over again... come to think of it she even sent people to assassinate thrall who could lead the people against her like Garrosh did with vol'jin... but do you think is there a way something might go different I mean in the comic "Three Sisters" she shows that she still loves her sisters maybe they will do something? In the comics she had to say a lie... her lines were: First... there are times I wish I were still alive. Second... I am proud to be warchief of the horde. My last... I will never betray you, my sisters. since she didn't betray them one of the other two must be a lie... my point being maybe she wants to be alive and she's trying something (I know it's crazy I was the warbringer video too) or she's trying to get kicked out of the horde in her own stupid fucked up way. Honestly, I'm a crazy fan of Sylvanas and the Windrunner sisters so it's a total heartbreak for me to see one of them die especially since they're reunited.

@@metaknight281 i would say major villain is what i mean, the one that would be a threat like deathwing, rag and what not. Legion pretty much out the major one, sargeras seal, archimond /KJ dead. And the legion is only united because of sargeras. Other we have know is old god which even the titan cant handle, at very least not without blowing azeroth along with it, and i guess the void/ethreal would be it be they have never had much dealing with azeroth. Sure im not expecting we to go back dealing with thieve in westfall, but a a whole new villain born out of the expansion would make the story fresh i think, instead of you know another garrosh and another horde city raid. Also with outside material , im quite fed up with since they retcon medan story line, feel like wasted potential of a new hero.While not related to outside material the whole anduin prophecy thing, pretty sure it was suppose to be the grand fight against legion but again wasted storyline.

I alwass liked the warcraft universe but the newer storys are full of plot holes and wasted opportunities. I stil play it and like it but it's just not the same anymore :P personally I hope they are going to make warcraft 4 and use it to introduce new characters or whatever....
So Hordes are falling apart because of slyvanas but she wasnt even supposed to be warcheif? Horde also lost zandalari fleet+ civil war broke out in zandalari, and king is dead, and one of val'kyr is dead. Compared to Aliiance, where no one died, Theramore fleets are arlight, Jaina's mom isn't dead either, and none of Alliance leader are dead or have problem. Horde seems to have no chance to win, and the it feels like slyvanas is going to fuck up to the Horde even worse with the dagger.
The Valks are messed up... one minute they are working for Odin, next they are every warriors best teleporting friend, next they work for Sylvanas and her warmong....err.... WMD Horde. Blizz, make yer minds up, the valk are evil or they are not! /sheesh

10:37 Correction....you say "the Alliance has murdered the king of Zandalar" ....no, they did not murder him. The word murder has a specific meaning which does not apply here. Rastakhan was a criminal and tyrant who had attempted to invade and destroy both the Alliance and Horde twice....and who was currently assisting in the genocide, conquest, soul rape, theft, and natural destruction of the Alliance. Rastakhan was confronted and given a chance to stop his evil criminal ways and he refused....using instead the evil powers of a Death Loa to try and murder his lawful accusers. Having a war criminal and violator of rights served a warrant for arrest....then having them resist the arrest and be killed is not a murder. That is a just application of ethics and the expectation of honor. Rastakhan was a pathetic tyrant that deserved to suffer for his atrocities.....and I say that as a horde player.
Btw yes. Aside from all other points he staged two full scale “lets take over the world” grand schemes so i dont know why he is presented as “innocent”.

Oh look, Blizz built another Warchief into an eventual raid boss, in almost exactly the same beats.... 2 expansions later: Warchief Saurfang uses a flood to massacre the Gnomes in New Tinkertown and his unslakeable bloodthirst must be stopped!!! /yawn /uninstall
We can already see they're trying to rush through this expansion pack like they did WOD. The 'in case of emergency break glass' container with N'zoth in it looks more tempting by the day to the Wow team.
So after Leigion how come the order halls just fall apart? I mean i guess i understand to a certen extent, i guess our paladins and such when they meet on the battlefield have like a new respect for each other but...it just seems like a waste. Also i like how the night elves are sooo pissed at the horde for their attack, but if you played the ghostlands quest as a Blood elf then you actually find out they were going to dothe same thing....only by starving the entire weakend population of Silvermoon of their mana leylines. They sent spies under the gyse of being accepted into the alliance. All so they could learn how to starve the blood elves to death. Really want to see Lorthremar throw those 3 plans we gather at Maltherons/Tyrandas feet, with a line like "Silvanus must have gotten the idea from you", just like to see some Horde love in the story for a change. Without the horde the Allaince has no reason to exist, without the alliance the horde can help each other survive and heal their lands and people. Thats why i love the horde.....dammit i shouldnt have watched this...time to re-subscribe to wow now.
The blood elves wouldn't have died from lack of mana, if so the high elves would be long dead. That storyline made no sense whatsoever as there was no reason for the night elves to do that, blizzard admitted that they put it there on purpose so they have a reason to give the blood elves to the horde.
It's a damn shame that half the alliance war campaign didn't matter while the same can't be said about the horde where the whole war campaign mattered.
As a diehard Horde player the Horde narrative lately has really been upsetting me. I just wish we were able to have the same “For the [faction]!” pride that the alliance has without like... endorsing genocide or whatever. I wish we were still written as the underdogs, struggling to survive in a world that hates us, since that’s what I originally fell in love with about my faction. Lok’tar ogar... I guess.
Everybody seems to now have at least one thing to hate about this game now. If it's not the infuriating story and writing, it's the tedious gameplay. And if it's not the tedious gameplay, it's the authoritarian and toxic community. There is only one thing I liked from this expansion, and that was the allied races which are great. But the fact that I am glad that I only have to play their stories once just shows how unentertaining the game is and that Blizzard is actually acknowledging this.

it's just the regular Orgrimmar throne room with the old NPCs in it. Guess they don't phase out some characters

Hey Nobbel, I have been a fan of yours for many years and while I don't play the game anymore I follow the story through your videos. I am a big fan of the lore and I was thinking of getting back into the game and I would like your opinion on this. Should I buy the game? Is it worth it now, as I hear players are quiting. I am more of a casual raider and I like doing old content and so much hard core raiding. Keep up the great work :D
Only you yourself can say if the game is worth it or not. I personally enjoy raiding and M+ when it's current, but am also on a break until the next patch hits. There's def reasons for people quiting, but again...your taste might be different!

like how you say slyvanas didnt take malfurion life for reason, which really disappoint me a lot . They only justifiation that i can give is slyvanas is playing the double agent, playing the villain to make the war happen but i really dont see it happen. Too little hint of that and with the current blizz, i dont see them pull it of.

The sad thing is, I really like the story of the expansion. Jaina and the reclamation of kultiras as part of the alliance, talanji and the zandalari, N'zoth and the naga especially, its all pretty cool. But theres just not enough content to KEEP you playing. You can log in a few times a month and keep up with current content at a normal level. I just dont get what blizzard are thinking at this point.

Hello Nobble... i'm gonna start with i'm a great fan and ask for something... soooo you didn't talk much about what might happen to Sylvanas... like if they kill her it's just Garrosh all over again... come to think of it she even sent people to assassinate thrall who could lead the people against her like Garrosh did with vol'jin... but do you think is there a way something might go different I mean in the comic "Three Sisters" she shows that she still loves her sisters maybe they will do something? In the comics she had to say a lie... her lines were:
First... there are times I wish I were still alive.
Second... I am proud to be warchief of the horde.
My last... I will never betray you, my sisters.
since she didn't betray them one of the other two must be a lie... my point being maybe she wants to be alive and she's trying something (I know it's crazy I was the warbringer video too) or she's trying to get kicked out of the horde in her own stupid fucked up way.
Honestly, I'm a crazy fan of Sylvanas and the Windrunner sisters so it's a total heartbreak for me to see one of them die especially since they're reunited.

However the main problem in my opinion is blizzard wants every expansion to be bigger and more heroic... Like cant we just get a "normal" story again? @@metaknight281 i would say major villain is what i mean, the one that would be a threat like deathwing, rag and what not. Legion pretty much out the major one, sargeras seal, archimond /KJ dead. And the legion is only united because of sargeras. Other we have know is old god which even the titan cant handle, at very least not without blowing azeroth along with it, and i guess the void/ethreal would be it be they have never had much dealing with azeroth.
Sure im not expecting we to go back dealing with thieve in westfall, but a a whole new villain born out of the expansion would make the story fresh i think, instead of you know another garrosh and another horde city raid.
Also with outside material , im quite fed up with since they retcon medan story line, feel like wasted potential of a new hero.While not related to outside material the whole anduin prophecy thing, pretty sure it was suppose to be the grand fight against legion but again wasted storyline.
@@KPX01 haha I agree with you. World of Warcraft really wastes a lot of story but you can't really blame them an online game is just not a good idea if you want to tell a rich story... I alwass liked the warcraft universe but the newer storys are full of plot holes and wasted opportunities. I stil play it and like it but it's just not the same anymore :P personally I hope they are going to make warcraft 4 and use it to introduce new characters or whatever....

So Hordes are falling apart because of slyvanas but she wasnt even supposed to be warcheif? Horde also lost zandalari fleet+ civil war broke out in zandalari, and king is dead, and one of val'kyr is dead. Compared to Aliiance, where no one died, Theramore fleets are arlight, Jaina's mom isn't dead either, and none of Alliance leader are dead or have problem. Horde seems to have no chance to win, and the it feels like slyvanas is going to fuck up to the Horde even worse with the dagger.

Rastakhan was a criminal and tyrant who had attempted to invade and destroy both the Alliance and Horde twice....and who was currently assisting in the genocide, conquest, soul rape, theft, and natural destruction of the Alliance. Rastakhan was confronted and given a chance to stop his evil criminal ways and he refused....using instead the evil powers of a Death Loa to try and murder his lawful accusers. Having a war criminal and violator of rights served a warrant for arrest....then having them resist the arrest and be killed is not a murder. That is a just application of ethics and the expectation of honor. Rastakhan was a pathetic tyrant that deserved to suffer for his atrocities.....and I say that as a horde player.
Btw yes. Aside from all other points he staged two full scale “lets take over the world” grand schemes so i dont know why he is presented as “innocent”.

We can already see they're trying to rush through this expansion pack like they did WOD. The 'in case of emergency break glass' container with N'zoth in it looks more tempting by the day to the Wow team.
So after Leigion how come the order halls just fall apart? I mean i guess i understand to a certen extent, i guess our paladins and such when they meet on the battlefield have like a new respect for each other but...it just seems like a waste.
Also i like how the night elves are sooo pissed at the horde for their attack, but if you played the ghostlands quest as a Blood elf then you actually find out they were going to dothe same thing....only by starving the entire weakend population of Silvermoon of their mana leylines.
They sent spies under the gyse of being accepted into the alliance. All so they could learn how to starve the blood elves to death.
Really want to see Lorthremar throw those 3 plans we gather at Maltherons/Tyrandas feet, with a line like "Silvanus must have gotten the idea from you", just like to see some Horde love in the story for a change.
Without the horde the Allaince has no reason to exist, without the alliance the horde can help each other survive and heal their lands and people.

The blood elves wouldn't have died from lack of mana, if so the high elves would be long dead. That storyline made no sense whatsoever as there was no reason for the night elves to do that, blizzard admitted that they put it there on purpose so they have a reason to give the blood elves to the horde.

As a diehard Horde player the Horde narrative lately has really been upsetting me. I just wish we were able to have the same “For the [faction]!” pride that the alliance has without like... endorsing genocide or whatever. I wish we were still written as the underdogs, struggling to survive in a world that hates us, since that’s what I originally fell in love with about my faction. Lok’tar ogar... I guess.

Everybody seems to now have at least one thing to hate about this game now.
If it's not the infuriating story and writing, it's the tedious gameplay.
And if it's not the tedious gameplay, it's the authoritarian and toxic community.
There is only one thing I liked from this expansion, and that was the allied races which are great. But the fact that I am glad that I only have to play their stories once just shows how unentertaining the game is and that Blizzard is actually acknowledging this.
