- My friends, here's a new piano cover on a wonderful and deeply reflexive masterpiece from northern magicians called Poets of the Fall.
I heard this song back in 2007 when I discovered that amazing band and it has been one of my favorites ever since.
It was an era when I mostly listened to various genres of metal and classical music, so their relaxed sound became some sort of a fresh wind in my playlist, haha.
I guess, anyone who've heard them once was blown away with velvet colors in Marko Saaresto's voice and the whole band's filigree sence of music.
Want to note that the guys are very supportive as well, since they gave me valuable recos on some gear.
Actually, I thought this song would be pretty easy to sing since it is in my natural range. Untill I started recording it.
The amount of microtimings, sudden syncopation and nuances was just insane. So I quickly refused my idea of singing it and playing the piano simultaneously. My piano skills are not there yeat :)
AND, I'm happy to say that now you can actually see me performing instead of watching a piercing gaze on a photo as it was with the previous cover.
So officially, it's my first video experience ever.
I was stupid enough not to record the text you're reading right now, though. But next time we'll definitely have a chat.

I promise you, I will make more videos and I will try to find the best music which resonates in me as much as possible, no matter how popular it is. True music is a treasure by its nature, not by its recognition.
And, more important, I will move towards my own compositions here, because it was the initial point and the main goal from the beginning. I think they will be pretty much alike to what you hear now. And I hope you will like it.

The irony about your words is that I’ve been into digital and social media marketing for more then 10 years 😹 and you’re absolutely right with all the recos. And more videos is the most important. Currently I’m in Oxford for a while, away from my studio. But I’ve already got the plan of the upcoming songs. Just need to build up a certain schedule. Making music videos is a bit more complex work than making vlogs. Though both require quite a lot of effort. I really appreciate the job which other channels do here, posting a song per week. That must be a full time job
