Have you ever felt different?
Not being able to tell what’s the exact reason.
Not needing noisy gatherings and parties, rather preferring solitude walking in the woods and listening to music.
Watching the moonlight and dreaming of something you can't really describe, yet feeling it strong in your heart.
That special craving for elusive beauty of the world and times you've never seen.
I lived my life this way, ever since I was a kid.
I was looking for that in every story, sound, picture I could find.
Tales and old legends, beautiful melodies made me closer to that surreal world.
Aside from my "normal" life, I find beauty in weaving feelings into melodies. Mostly it's "for the drawer", but some pieces may occur here. I'd love to see this channel as a mirror of my soul and I welcome every person who feels the same way and sees life with a touch of a bittersweet magical mystery.
Please, make yourself comfortable, join my solitude company and let's have a talk.

King of Fools - Poets of the Fall COVER (Eric Gleden)
My friends, here's a new piano cover on a wonderful and deeply reflexive masterpiece from northern magicians called Poets of the Fall.
I heard this song back in 2007 when I discovered that amazing band and it has been one of my favorites ever since.
It was an era when I mostly listened to various genres of metal and classical music, so their relaxed sound became some sort of a fresh wind in my playlist, haha.
I guess, anyone who've heard them once was blown away with velvet colors in Marko Saaresto's voice and the whole band's filigree sence of music.
Want to note that the guys are very supportive as well, since they gave me valuable recos on some gear.
Actually, I thought this song would be pretty easy to sing since it is in my natural range. Untill I started recording it.
The amount of microtimings, sudden syncopation and nuances was just insane. So I quickly refused my idea of singing it and playing the piano simultaneously. My piano skills are not there yeat :)
AND, I'm happy to say that now you can actually see me performing instead of watching a piercing gaze on a photo as it was with the previous cover.
So officially, it's my first video experience ever.
I was stupid enough not to record the text you're reading right now, though. But next time we'll definitely have a chat.
Enjoy the beauty of a sweet decadence brought us by great Finnish fellas poetsofthefall.com

Walking In The Air PIANO VOCAL COVER (Eric Gleden)
Переглядів 8 тис.3 роки тому
One of my favorite Christmas and New Year songs written by Howard Blake haunted me so much these days that I just had to step aside from working on my next video and record it for you. I love Nightwish cover very much, but here I decided to make the arrangement closer to the original verison. Aled Jones' voice is totally unrepeatable, though :) It was a great pleasure to play it and I can only ...
The Witcher 3 Priscilla's song MALE COVER (Eric Gleden)
Переглядів 203 тис.3 роки тому
Do you still hold your breath the same way you did when you first heard Priscilla's song intro? The Wolven Storm was the first piece of music I heard from the Witcher series. I immideately fell in love with this beautiful ballad, its warm and bittersweet mood. I played it over and over again even before I first tried the game itself. One autumn evening I thought of how thrilling would it be to ...
Eric you are definately no King of Fools . That title belongs to someone else .
I am surprised that you have said that you have not done Classical singing . You have perfect pitch , good technique good breath control. You sing beautifully . Angel's will sing with you .
Your the best Eric . Dont ever worry about mistakes , we all make them . Nature is full of mistakes . Nothing is perfect except for God .
Your voice is from heaven . Your pitch perfect and bring so much emotion into your version of the song . Its fine to sing s song but to sing without emotion. We' ll thats not singing at all.
This is our favorite song of yours.. the music.. and your ethereal voice.. and the haunting lyrics which stay in our minds.. even as the song ends.. call to us to play it once again.. When the song ends.. we are crying.. because of the achingly beautiful mood you have created.. We thank you so much.. we will follow you forever 💜💙🦋
So beautiful ❤👏👏👏
Thank you 🙏 Enjoyed your music
So nice, thank you ❤🎻🎶 All the best from Poland 🤗
Пиздец🔥 сильно💪
Its magical Eric. Its a lovely song and you sing it so well.
Thank you for your support! Indeed, I enjoy this piece very much. So calm and beautiful
@@EvengardYes it is very calm .
Incredible
The sont was sung with great empathy. Thank you Eric
Actually, it wasn't an easy one to record. I'm happy you hear the effort 🙏🏻
@@Evengardit is a very hard song to sing , but you did it . And you did it well. Eric your a hard working musician . And it shows .
@@spmoran4703 thank you, appreciate your kindness 🙏🏻
Beautifully sung . A truly Celtic ( by the look of you . French ) interpretation of the song
I enjoyed Celtic music very much during my childhood years :) Must have something remained
@@EvengardI am sorry I was wrong about your nationality . German even better . I wish to visit Germany . I am interested in the Castles and visit the home of J S Bach . My favourite composer . And I have read your profile . Eric , you and I have lots in common . I love being in nature .
@@spmoran4703 I believe in values and personalities most of all and, being respectful to all national cultures, recon we have much more in common. So in the end background is less important compared to positive impact you could make 🙌🏻
@@Evengard I totally agree with that we all share the one humanity
You have a very beautiful gift. One of the most beautiful voices I have heard. I would love to hear more of your work!
That is a very generous thing to say, thank you very much. I would love to be able to share more
This is absolutely amazing!! Your voice conveys such emotion :DD. I replayed this like 5 times when I first heard it
Each time you replayed it made me happier, thank you :) I'm glad it brought you some pleasant moments, that's why people make music
Never paid attention to the lyrucs in game. Now I realise that the whole song was about Yennefer and Geralt! I feel so stupid now.
Better late than never, right? 😸 Just kidding. The scene is so nice and captivating that it's easy to get lost in it without realising details
Drawn to this one by the beautiful snow scene.. then stayed.. because by then your exquisite yet powerful voice had drawn us in.. Your music has a beautiful life of its own.. and your voice expresses your lyrics with every note you sing.. Came to this channel for Witcher.. and we are here to stay.. please continue to sing..and to work your magic as a composer.. We will follow you for life 💜💙
Please, be my guest :) it's a bit hard to find enough time for music currently. But you said it right - it stays with me for life. I'll never quit it, no matter what are the temporary obstacles
So happy we are to hear this.. you have a beautiful gift which requires sharing.. so grateful are we that you do so💜💙🦋
What an awesome ethereal voice.. we are drawn to original music.. and to find someone who composes such.. and then sings his own creations.. in a voice that rivals angels in heaven.. so beautiful to hear this is.. We are subscribed.. and grateful we found your channel.. Your voice is indescribably beautiful.. there are no words.. we will leave it at that.. beautiful💜💙
I'm so sorry for my late response, but it's a bit hard to find right words for such a beautiful and intense comment. I just hope that you felt at least 10% of how you expressed it, because bringing to life these emotions is a pinnacle of how a musicians can use their talents. I do believe we are given our features for a reason. Thank you 🖤
Nádherné,máte krásný sametový hlas
Amazing voice 👏👏👏
Thanks! Appreciate it a lot 🙌🏻
Omg please post this!
Gotta finish it 🙂
How the hell am I just finding this?
Jednoduše nádherné.
Without looking at the cover image I thought I was listening to Astarion from BG3 singing a Witcher 3 song. Absolutely incredible.
Such a great voice. I whish you'd come back
Thank you 🙏🏻 I will
@@Evengard that's very good to know! Thank you for answering me.
Please do nightwish - Nemo!
Hm, interesting idea, thanks. I’ve been thinking of Taikatalvi, While Your Lips Are Still Ted, Dark Chest of Wonders or The Siren. I should really consider it 🧐
@@Evengard those are really good too. your covers are daily basis for me to listen so im waiting the nemo or while your lips are still red cover.
Perfect voice for a man. Damn man. If i had a voice like that i would never be quiet. Please record more for us.
Thanks, mate 🤝 actually, I’m never quiet, that’s why it pretty hard to endure my company - I’m always crooning something. I definitely will
Is this happening? Are you back? Or is this old footage?
I’d say it’s not new, but if all goes well, I’m gonna be Really back 😉
@@Evengard id be very happy if you do, dk whats up but I hope it goes well for you. Ps - do you mind sharing a few artists you take inspiration from, Id love to hear them too
@@theknowingeye5998 that’s pretty hard to tell 🤔 I think, in my own material I rely more on literature, nature and architecture, rather than certain musicians, when it comes to inspiration. I love northern nature, nocturnal landscapes, art nouveau, gothic and Victorian architecture and classical literature. I guess, “Romanticism” is the closest artistic movement in a combination of genres. But that’s an interesting idea, probably I should elaborate a bit on this in my next videos
Wonderful!
Thank you! Glad you like it
where can i find your album or webpage.
Oh, my friend. My drawer is filled with songs. But no releases yet. Please, stay tuned, I will upload here along the way
Beautiful and outsanding! Love your voice, man. Good work.
I'm really glad that my work brought you some pleasant moments. Thank you for your kind words
I'm just here to support you going to 500k views.
Oh wow. It looks so distant from this point :) But thank you for your faith in me. Keep the counter rolling ;)
@@Evengard Always. I might've changed my name, but not my intentions. Happy New year. May it bring a lot of peace.
not bad
agree
I commented once before, i will comment once again becase your voice is still as magestic brother, i hope you release some more songs , until then i will keep listening to this and come back once more to comment
Thank you for your kind words, it's really important to me. Comments like yours make my day
Your voice is really good, well suited for this song. But you lack experience, song feeled like a copied of other singers technique. That is ok but the feeling was not transferred in the learning process. This is a song that should send shivers down the spine, make the listener to feel sad. I got only a good voice but no emotion from this video. You have a bright future ahead of you. Keep on practising and specially the emotion aspect of your singing
I really appreciate you took time to share your personal opinion, which you think might be useful for my growth, even though you didn’t like the song. Thank you. Looking back, I can see some things I could have done different technically, but not emotionally. This is quite a special piece for me and during the recording I had shivers size of an elephant. But it doesn’t discard your kind comment, it’s a good thing, actually. It makes very obvious that even when there are thousands who like you, there would be some who just resonate on different frequencies. And that’s totally fine. I guess, it makes the beauty and complexity of our life :) Cheers, mate 🙌🏻
This Is my favorite song... I use to play It all the time with my levers harp. And your version, my goodness, is AMAZING!
Thank you dear, I’m really glad you enjoyed it. It would be lovely to hear your version, levers harp is wonderful 🙏🏻
Wow! 👏👏👏👏
🙏🏻
I'm literally crying because I no longer hear this man with such a magical voice
Don't be, it's just a pause :)
Those eyes...
🙏🏻
That deep "running away..." gets me every time
I too enjoyed this part a lot while composing and recording
@@Evengard Love that you enjoyed creating this🤎. Your Music and I guess... your essence evokes this deep sense of "hiraeth" in me, had me writing again! Didn't know I had this many poems and characters in my head.
@@IvyQwinn never heard this word before. But feel it a lot
@@Evengard I totally get that feeling. It's like a longing for something you can't quite grasp. What else inspires you when you're composing and recording?
@@IvyQwinn usually composing and recording are two different stages in terms of mindset. I like composing better, it's pure enchantment. During recording I have to stay very concentrated to perform exactly the way I feel right. But both composing and recording is a result of inner "hiraeth" :) born with experience of nature, literature, other music and, sometimes, people. Natural beauty inspires me the most and I try to grasp it in melodies
If I could ask God for one thing, it would be to offer you the time to produce more music.
These are beautiful words, my friend. God hears our prayers
please do more, you are incredible!
Yo can’t even imagine, how much more there is 🌚 I wish I had as much time to dedicate it to music and record all those drafts
OH MY GOD you are so damn amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
🖤🙏🏻
Dude, your voice is legendary. Looking forward to more of your work
Thanks mate! Appreciate it a lot, gonna find time for recordings, yes
Estonteante
Aprecio 🙏🏻
Just curious, how many notes lower is this compared to the original?
An octave and a semitone
@@Evengard Thanks for the reply!
@@xk1390sorry for such a delay :)
First, I thought, it's Roy Khan, Kamelot ex-frontmen)))
One of my favorite singers :)
Your voice is hauntingly peaceful and relaxing, resonating effortlessly and memorable. Where can I find more of your music?
Thank you so much 🙏🏻 oh, at the moment most of my music is in the desk drawer. And there’s lot. I hope I find time to arrange some proper releases. I’ll definitely let you know here once it’s out
Your voice is nothing if not enchanting. You could easily get a career in music or voice acting.
Thank you, I always dreaded that perspective, but maybe I shouldn't
That was amazing!
Thank you! 🤝
Волшебно!

fantastic thanks man
You’re welcome!
