NO words can describe the playing and presence of Angela Petrilli. Her skills made that production model telecaster sound as good as any custom shop. She's proof that it's really the player and not the guitar that makes the tone. Kudos as always Jen, your camera work and editing are always on point! Pro II Teles are great right off the rack. Strat Pro IIs need a little filing to the nut to improve action. And this is a lovely demo from a cheerful lady!

Of all things, when Angela spotlighted how that Telecaster then, it was the coolest thing when she started playing Zeppelin in the mid position. The US of A definitely needs an increase in the number of female rockers on the map.

Honest question. When people lightly shake the neck up and down without seemingly moving their fingers, does it really create a light vibrato?
Yes it does. But you gotta give a bit of pressure to achieve it. And be sure not to overdue it.. And that the guitar is well built 😂
The American pro ii’s have been fucking awesome and really consistent from what I’ve played. And the finishes options have been great. I am snagging one of the tele deluxes Friday.

Doesn't matter anymore where you're guitar is made professional quality coming from all over the world with out the USA ridiculous price tags..

It’s all about specs these days IMHO. The Americans have more attention to detail. Personally, for me the new Vintera II series is where its at. Vintage correct (unlike the AVII series) except the paint. Whatever you choose this model the AM Pro II has the best neck feel regardless of what you think that is worth.
When made in USA meant something, well it still does to me 🇺🇸
Buying USA means putting food on the tables of American workers, guarantees higher quality manufacturing and waste management, ensures the higher quality employee pay and benefits, the money is more likely to stay in our economy, creates jobs, creates pride in our communities and nation.
Educate yourself, or Move to China

I don't play but did become interested in guitars a few years back - they can be such beautiful works of art, quite apart from the sound.
Funny! Pine is junk wood as far as woodworking goes. Soft and light, not strong and roasting it does not make it stronger. Very low cost wood though and as you can here the cheap wood sounds as good as an ash or basswood body.

Great playing but out of tune! G string sounds flat on the open tuning Ugggh. Beautiful guitar

I saw a guitar with that wood finish when I was 12, in a catalog for Carvin. I always loved that kind of wood finish: Warm.
It's what roasted pine looks like. It probably just has a clear coat.

Sick Tele! Definitely beats my Squier Bullet Surf Green, even with all my mods and cap/pots upgrades. Mine does sound brighter however.

I love guitars as much as the next person, buy what separates one tele from another is mainly a finish or a fingerboard, maple or rosewood. The hardware is almost always universal, with slightly difference single coil pickups. 75 years later, and these are basically the same year after year.

Fender is all about options cause someone will want to string it through the bridge. Really? Lame, its just the same bridge plate they use on the cheapo guitars that they don’t want to drill out for string holes. What I’m interested in are the compensated brass saddles. I must say I’m not that far off on my non-compensated brass saddles, but this is the best of both worlds I think.
Awesome 🎸. I was looking at a black Mex telecaster for modification and I asked the guy at the store if he had a 🇺🇸 professional 2 telecaster and he bought me a Miami Blue 🎸.
As soon I I held the 🇺🇸 🎸, I knew that this was my 🎸.

Beautiful guitar. Kudos to Fender for staying away from faux-vintage tuners, and a sticky neck finish on a high-end guitar.
I like the sound of this guitar so much ... Better than a lot of what I have heard before .... also the very expensive models .... Yes things like sound depends a lot of the player .... sure ...

Roasting pine make a lot of sense. It stablizes it and reduces some of the higher freq damping effects. The guitar seems to have an acoustic dreadnaught quality to it. The bass in the recording is overwhelming, though. May be the amp tone stacking settings? I assume it's that Traynor.
I think it would look a little better with a rosewood neck, and I’m not entirely sure what I think of the deep C neck. I have one on my telly and I guess I’m just not as used to it as I am my thinner ‘93 Strat Plus neck.
i have a 2011 same guitar but with a roasted maple neck, looks almost like rosewood.
I always thought that Led Zeppelin (what's the name of it?) tune was in some kind of open tuning.. Obviously no?
Need D'Adarrio strings 10's and intonation D, G, and probably B also. This particular guitar may be a dud.

Neato. God bless Fender for being just about the only big company that will make guitars out of interesting components and combos of materials. Even if they don't do as much as we think for "muh toan", they look cool and are something a bit different. Ya know, FUN!

We haven't seen Angela in a while, she's such an amazing player. Speaking of American Professional II series, they're really underrated, they play and sound amazing.
Sounds too dark to me
Angela missed a key feature -- in addition to the stringing options and compensated brass saddles, the bridge plate has its lower flange cut short for comfort.
