thank God they didn't choose Naiad's initial model, I hate ugly hunters and I don't care if that would make her "unique", I love her skills and the fact that she is a beautiful Hunter, It's a full plate for me. Making it clear that I am not against ugly hunters, but I would be very upset if they had chosen those mediocre models for her, because Naiad is the ideal Hunter for me.

I adore many of the old hunter designs because they actually look unsettling and fitting for a horror themed game. Months ago I was wondering why they would even choose anime looking and prettier designs over scary ones, BUT that is when i came across someone's comment saying "Im so glad they scrapped the naiad ones, she looked so creepy" and thats when i understood how this community doesnt care about the concept or lore of the game, and netease knows that. Its a shame honestly. With every new hunter drop, i pray that its something different or unsettling.
NetEase know that and try to take the best benefit from it, which is make fancy skins. Well, it's not really wrong to say that this is a fashion game lol
Actually it's not the communities fault they choose pretty looking hunters. Originally the game was meant to be disturbing and scary but when they did the Junji Ito event and made Picture Woman, many kids who played the game in the CN server spoke about it and their parents saw the design of PW, they reported it to the government where IDV recieved a strike. From then on IDV had to avoid making anything disturbing or scary because they didn't want to risk another strike.
@UmbralSovereign what's scary about her? I saw her when I was a kid and showed MY mom, we both had no issue with it. (Still couldn't afford her tho) I swear, kids and their parents have like no backbone istg

I love how they advertise themselves as s horror game while also denying any designs that don’t look like the most normal conventionally attractive woman physically possible. Grace could have been so good, but I would never be able to guess that she’s meant to be a character in a ‘horror game’. I’d just assume she was from some fantasy mermaid game…
Good point there. Imo, the game has evolved ever since the censorship or since NE make crossovers with some animes. Since now the players like fancy Characters, so NE created more fancy Characters to the game. Hence, we have so many simps lol. But hey, if it's enjoyable it's enjoyable. Albeit the ping smh :')

First Long legged lady design, 2nd design for Paper queen, 1st Rosemary design were the best imho. I love the long hair on Vio and Yima and dark purple looks so good on Naiad.
I kinda like the Geisha's old design, specially the one with long hair and clips on her hair, she looks pretty, what a shame that they didn't let her like that, but she's pretty either way
