Hello!! I love your videos, I don't miss any of them, I have tried but they don't come out well, little bubbles come out after rinsing, what could be happening?
Most of the time we make sure to check the film to see if there is any defects in the film like we did in the video. If you can visually see any then of course scrap the film but if you cant, then make sure you dip it right and you should be fine as long as its activated right.
I'm just starting out, I've been trying to dip some small parts in carbon fiber film before attempting an engine cover. How do you get the carbon fiber "stripes" to come out straight and not wavy?
How much would it cost to do say cbr600rr fairings kit in this candy red with the traditional black and grey carbon fiber to look like the stock black and red cbr600rr but in carbon fiber colors???
So to get this results, you spray the paint straight over the film? I guess it has to be a very light coat if I’m nit wrong!!! I’m confused lol.. I want to get a few small interior parts of my car done in this color, but i don’t want to mess it up..

Thanks! We use all Devilbiss SRI Pro paint guns with a 1.0 tip for all of the primer, base, candy, clears and almost anything that we spray here in the shop.
After the carbon fiber is applied we sprayed a red candy over the top prior to applying the clear coat. You do need to use a silver metallic base prior to the dip if you want to apply a candy over the top.
@@LiquidConceptsUSA I have never used candy paints before either. By putting paint over it I would have thought it would blank out the graphics completely?
@@thundertiger76 You lay down the silver base first, then dip the item, apply the candy, and then clear coat. The candy is not a solid therefore it does not cover the print.
@@LiquidConceptsUSA Thanks for the info, much appreciated. One other thing if you don't mind, can you use car rattle cans which is normally acrylic paint for a base?
I wonder if ye would think about buying a few popular trim panels or even phone covers to hold in stock so that when you have a sheet of film that has to be scrapped from a bigger project but still has a few small sections that are big enough for a radio surround or some other small items so that the whole sheet is not wasted and then sell the panels. Thank you for the following! To answer your question on the red, you need to mix up a candy and not a paint. A candy is a translucent "Dye" that you add to a binder or inter-coat clear that will tint the color of an item but not fully paint it.
Thank you! Most of the time we recommend to change the water every 2 weeks to a month or so depending on usage. Sometimes you can go longer but it all depends on the amount of dips and the size of water tank you have.

Because of the way the carbon fiber started to warp and show those spots like it did, there is nothing that we would want to dip in that print because the carbon would have waves and it wont look correct.
