Hydrodipping this GSR valve cover in carbon fiber with a red tint.
We used a epoxy primer, VHT high temp spray paint, Duplicolor red high temp tint spray paint, and automotive clear. The results are well worth the brutal prep work. Thanks for watching!

That’s be best looking I have seen a hydro dip carbon fiber look. The clear and tint really makes it look like carbon at least in the video.
That valve cover is beautifull!!
I second that!

Sad you live at home still
@@recklessgenesis3476 sad you judge other people's financial situations
😂😂😂😂
That is one of the best looking valve covers I've ever seen
I appreciate how you go into detail about what you use, do and why? Without overwhelming the information or making the video too long
Those “unfinished” projects is great! Iv watched before, but now I’m subscribed. I want to see those unfinished projects. Keep up the good work & running a good show.
This was one of your best videos I've seen in a long time... Love all your content but this was well structured and articulated💪👌
Good to know man thanks!
@@GARAGEIdiotS hey man i know u probably get this a lot, but if I sent u a valve cover, ANY way you'd wanna do this for me? I'd pay u whatever it would cost. I don't have a good painting or hydro dipping setup at my house and want something as beautiful as this....
Except the part where he won't reveal his super secret materials source. 😒💩
Red metalcast is my go-to for turning amber sections of stock taillights to red for a cleaner look.
Throw some clear over it for protection and it'll still have an amber glow when illuminated.
For anyone with money and no wish to scrub, send them off to get vapor or bead blasted first. Great quality results.
Wow, I know that gives you a great feeling to see your finished product
Another great video. I really enjoy your dipping videos. Very informative, and the results always look amazing. Thank you. And thanks for the project updates.
Thanks man
Best words on for the B valve cover color “YUMMY” 🤤
I simply love your hydro work. Like I said before. ASMR for car guys. The random shenanigans stuff is really good as filler when you are waiting for parts or just need to clear your head to get the creative juices flowing again. Looking forward to le'Roy being finished.
Absolutely astonishing. I think it's about time this becomes the standard from factory, looks amazing..
you made that valve cover look really fancy, i love it
Wow. Amazing job on the valve cover!
That's an insane finish. Been wanting to have this done for a while, now I know a decent process
Dayum!!! You really made that old cover look good!!
Hit me up when your ready for that roll cage, great video!
The level of satisfaction i get just from watching this process is difficult to express lol. And the final look of that rocker cover is just absolutely sexy as hell 😍💯🔥 only recently did my saab valve cover in wrinkle black, but next time that cover comes off, it's getting stripped and dipped just like this! Absolutely stunning job mate!
Absolutely brilliant and explained so simply. Keep up the great work Preston
Simple yet understanding explanation for this tutorial! You've gain a new subscriber! 🙌🏻💯💯
My dad walks in: *Why are you watching a man cook a valve cover in an oven 🤨*
Hahahaha
lmao
Switch to porn the next time. Easier to explain 🤙🏻
That cam cover looks freaking amazing mate.
How much does it cost to get a pair of cam covers finished like that but with a dark green tint over it?
This was suggested for me. And I am glad I watched it!! Best thing I've seen and I want to do it to my car haha!! Keep up the great work pal!!!
This gave me an idea of how to paint my plastic engine cover. Great idea and I already have everything at the house to do it.

I've used blue metal cast over gun metal on a set of wheels. came out just like the electric blue volk offers. Looked absolutly amazing
Finally someone who did not do a hack job. Thumbs up from me.
Thanks man!
Amazing, appreciate the step by step, hopefully this is not just a hobby for you and is something you provide as a service for others. Came out amazing.
great video!! got a lot done and said in 10 min, super editing job, love the short clips at the end!
Making the engine look pretty is a hobby you don’t have to pay to like it
This is one of the best hydro-dipping videos I've seen. Excellent results! Thank you for sharing!
As a professional DAILY autobody painter. I have to say that color and work done to that B series valve cover is AMAZING. 👍🏻🔥
Dude!!!! That came out beautiful 😍 🔥
"im gonna show you how you can make your engine look cool" *uses an array of specialized tools*
FR THO MY DUDE!!!
You can also spend a few dollars on a small wire brush piece of sand paper metal scrubby cheap cleaning chemicals you don't need a 100 dollar or more electric drill that just makes it easier you don't need those expensive wire brushes on the drill either it just makes it easier and all mechanics have them it's just completely necessary
Well he never said he was just going to beat his meat and magically presto the valve cover would be refinished.......

Truly enjoy your channel just the way it is ...so natural ...keep up the good work
Great job both on the cover and the video. It's good to hear recommendations based on experience.
Great job. Video quality and voice over worked really well. Really hope you plan to show the Mini Cooper and all the work to get it running in a full vid too.
Awesome man! And yes I have a whole video on it
lol i feel like an idiot. xD
You: Pretty self explanatory
me: oh... yeah... right. I knew that.
my brain: how did I make it this far in life?
Great how-to. Gives brands of what you use. In depth but not to long-winded. So what if things aren't finished, ppl need to feel like something needs to finished. But a mixed in fun shenanigans video is cool too, from the build vids. Lower Jeep...who does that, cool as hell.
Preston, you're doing Very well by us.I know you don't have tons of cash to throw at any little problem, like some expect because they see it elsewhere. This video is a great example. Most of us don't have $200 to throw at Clear Coating, and you showed us things we could get and use,and told us why.Thank you.Keep up the fun and do what You can.
Thanks man, glad I could help
Outstanding (if only I had talent & a steady hand) thar cover on my mates S2000 I detailed a few years back would have been the icing & the cherry on top, beautiful Sir !!
Ya buddy that’s what I’m talking about!!! I love it! Great 👍 video❤️! Preston it is like “Artwork” when you Hydro-dip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love the random stuff when your mates come by
Great video and easy to listen too...saved for a later date when i need to remind myself to chill and prep takes time

I’m doing this to my engine cover, thanks for your channel, you explain the process clearly, I’m differently subscribing...
This is awesome! That you for showing this! Doing that same thing 👍😁
Damn, valve cover looked awesome! I wish that I could do my H22A valve cover like your!
Dude, you killed this episode! Awesome job!
I love the videos. I feel like most car guys can relate more with you than most “professional” shops. My only issue I’ve had with the channel is you shifting that shifter 6,000 times 😂😂 but I know you were excited. Keep it up brother 💪
I haven’t been able to master the tint yet but I have mastered the dipping part
SMH- that was some awesome work!! Valve covers looks FIYA!!

That looks so rad man! I love vht paint as well. I did my LS swapped 2k civic in blue and it holds up great! I used aircraft paint remover and the old stuff came off quick and clean.
I have always loved hydro dip projects and can't wait to try it for myself. I'm going to have to build a tub to save money.
Subbed.
