- How you time the muzzle brake for your BANISH 30-GOLD suppressor is super easy. Here's how to do it:
- Install the supplied shims
- Tighten down the brake, ensuring that the word "BANISH" ends up top dead center
- Attach your BANISH 30-GOLD suppressor
That's it! See - we told you it was super easy!

“...and I’ve preselected 2 shims...and that’s how you do it....”
This is consistent with all silencer central videos this guy does for this company.
This is skipping some crucial steps. First off, how to select the shims. Second this video does not appear to have the correct shims, since the manual states that finger tight should leave the MB at 90 degrees CCW, whereas the video is more like 30 degrees or so. Third, after you've tightened the brake you're supposed to remove it again and apply rocksett before doing the final install (i.e. you're not "ready to go" as stated in the video). So basically, this video is not following the steps in the manual and may cause issues if anyone tries to use this as an instructional.
Yep
entertainment purposes only then. They should tell us. lol
Hey there keyboard Warrior. Crush nuts don’t use shims. 🤡
@@toxico1152 Weird how he uses them in the video then (and even calls them shims).
It would have been better to describe how to determine which shims are needed. You explained all the things that don’t need explaining, and didn’t describe what does.
I mean he said make sure banish ends up on top. Shim until that manifests!
@@prudniksthumb3781 this video is very different than the directions state in the Manual.
Should I use Rockset?
The vid didn't show how to do the job at all. (Unless everyone has this guy to come over and pre-select the right 2 shims...)
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Is loctite necessary
Installed mine yesterday but checked with an alignment rod and when turning the rifle to one side it doesn’t look straight. The rod just about touches the end of the suppressor. Any tips? Also does the muzzle adaptor need loctite?
How many shims should you use and not use without having to worry about blowing off your muzzle brake off the threads
Why cant I use a crush washer?
I have a question, if the 30 gold is a true QD supressor....................why do you have to thread it on?
What if you can only get 1/2 x 28 on the top?
Holy, ‘Gat’ Damon much 😂
This is a great video however it is missing some basic info on the QD (Quick Detachment) part. I just received my Banish 30 Gold, during the indexing/timing of the muzzle brake the muzzle brake (hand tightened only) would not come out of the suppressor. This is a serious issue. None of the videos cover the solution, nor the documentation. I have not fired through the suppressor as of yet. Waiting to hear back for a solution, I have left a voice mail and sent an email to customer support. Looking forward to a quick resolution. Thanks.
Just had the same issue. I even used thread lock on the muzzle brake when I installed it. It was a real bear to get out. I used the baffle removal tool, coated with a butt load of rockset, let it sit for a week, then placed it Vice using channel locks to unscrew the can. Had to have my my can recoated. Using rockset when installing the muzzle device has helped, but I highly recommend going with a surefire or dead air for a true QD setup.
I would use a torque wrench. If you get it too tight you will have bigger groups.
How long is the muzzle break?
What do you do if your 1/2 end cap is stuck to the suppressor.
Torch
is loctite necessary?
I wouldn't. That suppressor is going to heat up around the blast chamber. That heat will eat away at the effectiveness of loctite. I've heard of some people using rock set on muzzle devises. Those are a pain to get off if it is ever needed
I'd read the instruction manual
You look like you didn't even try to time the muzzle brake.
Much easier way is buy a radial brake and not have to worry about it, I shoot mine prone all the time don't believe the lue they're not good for prone shooting
this is not how to time your miuzzle brake, this is how to install a muzzle brake after you timed it
Kinda wasted my time thanks
This video shows the least needed steps… anyone can figure out how to put a shin on and tighten it. People are looking for methods of determining WHICH shims to use…
