Beautiful scenery and crystal clear water! The snowmelt must have run I to the river. Thanks for sharing the majesty of #BNR!

What kind of dry gear do you use or recommend when floating this time of year ? Would you consider doing a video covering this ?

Thanks for the question @shanereeder6041. A dry suit is the all time best option for cold weather water sports. I haven't bought one yet but plan on it. Right now I'm using NRS Boundary boots with rain pants and rain coat. That doesn't salve the problem if I go a swim but it keeps me dry paddling and getting in and out of the kayak. If I do tip and swim I have dry clothing easy to get to. Also if I swim I will just make that spot as my camping spot to dry stuff out. As of making a video about it, using a dry suit will be the only way I'd do a video on cold weather clothing. I wouldn't want someone to do my setup and end up with hypothermia. Dry suit is the way to go.

Thanks for the response. I've been improvising myself,by wearing my boot foot waders .

At that river height would you be comfortable with an 8 yr old in a canoe with you (Ponca to Kyles Landing)? I'm wanting to bring my wife and two kids along. I have one 8 and one 13. Thanks!

Personal skill is always a facture. Outside of that you should be fine. I have from Ponca to Pruitt full floats already recorded, edited and lined up to be published. One of my goals on this channel is to have the hole Buffalo recorded at the different levels. This way people can see what they are getting into. Not sure if you know the Buffalo but the upper part (where you're asking about) only has water after it rains. It may drain out in a week or two, or even days. Just a heads up for your planning. Thanks for the view and question @Michael-ft3rc.
