The funny thing about this game for me is that i have a nostalgic feeling about it because i played the heck out of it when i was young but only before Fire Canyon because i remember being bad and not really smart and i never got past the fire canyon soo watching this speedrun made me emotional for like 3min and then i discovered a new game lmao

In short, both of the 30s waits are required to do Lava Tube Skip. The first 30s wait is store your checkpoint in Lava Tube, the second 30s wait is to confuse the game into giving you the second lava tube checkpoint which puts you on the zoomer
i just remember being mid stream and Monroe came into my chat and said "Hi MM oh also Josh just got any% WR" and i literally stopped mid stream to pull yours up and told everyone "this is an emergency" 😂😂😂 the deed is done. GG.

This is interesting for me to see. I remember getting that infant lava bouncing glitch as a kid playing this. I didn't try crossing to the other part of the map though I just did it because It was fun to just bounce for as long as I could. It's cool to see it being used for speedrunning.
This is super impressive considering the clunky feel of the first jak and daxter controls. Also, who can resist humming along to the power orb jingle? Great job dude!
hey josh I was exploring geyser rock and was wondering if you could give me some input on a way I'm trying to get the last orb, when you roll jump onto the low platform and work your way up. I noticed that on the platform the cell is on you can stand halfway up the rock face and easily jump up. Do you know if this would be of any use? Just curious, thanks!
Hey Josh, I was wondering how you avoid drunk camera in Mountain Pass after Klaww skip. I get it occasionally and I don't know why. I've seen Headstrong drive through it with the drunk camera and it's ridiculous!
95% of my resets are from the first power cell cutscene Skip, the turning strat at the beginning of fire canyon, and getting around the first orb crate in fire canyon :)

Pretty crazy that it's just Fire Canyon and the Lava Tube you have to learn to get around. Pretty much anyone could do this run if they mastered those two glitches.
@@Kakerate2 not necessarily, not letting Jak stay on the ground for more than 3 frames at a time keeps him in a state that lets him bounce freely in fire canyon. And while he’s bouncing in fire canyon, Jak technically dies after he loses his health, but the game isn’t built for Jak to die on the fire canyon terrain, so the game waits for Jak to land on terrain he can actually die on (which hopefully is at the end of fire canyon)

Nope! You are able to move Jak slightly before he shows up on screen, just for a couple of frames!
