In short, both of the 30s waits are required to do Lava Tube Skip. The first 30s wait is store your checkpoint in Lava Tube, the second 30s wait is to confuse the game into giving you the second lava tube checkpoint which puts you on the zoomer

95% of my resets are from the first power cell cutscene Skip, the turning strat at the beginning of fire canyon, and getting around the first orb crate in fire canyon :)

hey josh I was exploring geyser rock and was wondering if you could give me some input on a way I'm trying to get the last orb, when you roll jump onto the low platform and work your way up. I noticed that on the platform the cell is on you can stand halfway up the rock face and easily jump up. Do you know if this would be of any use? Just curious, thanks!

@Mitchell Tozian By waiting 30 seconds in lava tube there it activates his idle animation which stores the lava tube checkpoint, which is important for the end of the skip when he eventually deloads volcanic crater and the game gives him the closest lava tibe checkpoint

@@Kakerate2 not necessarily, not letting Jak stay on the ground for more than 3 frames at a time keeps him in a state that lets him bounce freely in fire canyon. And while he’s bouncing in fire canyon, Jak technically dies after he loses his health, but the game isn’t built for Jak to die on the fire canyon terrain, so the game waits for Jak to land on terrain he can actually die on (which hopefully is at the end of fire canyon)

Nope! You are able to move Jak slightly before he shows up on screen, just for a couple of frames!
