This it's not just a game it's a Military Simulator and some Military Agencies and Military Colleges around the world use this for their trainings, it has a Mission Editor included and you can recreate scenarios closer to real world situations. The controls are very different from Normal Shooters, you can even switch from First Person View to Third Person View, lock and unlock your gun to the camera on the fly, all of this it's on purpose so you need to play in more relaxed pace communicate with your teammates and take decisions base on strategies not just instincts. Missions can be very complex and can last for hours, you can play mods like Wasteland, Dayz or Arma Life, which can change the whole experience and makes this software unique.
Are vehicle speeds finally.. well, speedy? To explain, in Arma 2 the vehicles we're usually sluggish, especially helicopters. Maybe it was just the maps, not as large as A3, but it certainly didn't detriment the game. I still loved the hell out of Arma 2
I'm confused, is Arma 3 divided into games or are there just everlasting servers which you can get on and play for hours sort of like an mmo? Coordinating this much detail would seem like a waste if it's dodged into games and you have limited time...
I should be building a computer in April, hopefully. Definitely getting this game then. Until then, my Xbox One should suffice no problem but its too bad that the consoles aren't powerful enough for this. They could probably run ARMA 2 no problem, but this is a maybe on if they could run it. Doubt it though. Then again, after seeing what The Division will look like, who knows what is in store for these consoles.
I read some articles about Dayz. Though Sony now have a similar game called H1Z1 which is for the PC and more than likely tagged for the Ps4 once it's matured. I hope BI get a title for the PS4 and make a fat chunk of money so they prosper to evolve the ARMA game. :)
this game looks interesting but it seems to take more dedication than what im willing to put in. Add on what looks to be a major difficulty barrier and you have a game that has my attention but nothing more.
***** Right, there's nothing to hate on Win7, it works and it's pretty easy to handle nowadays. Plus it's so common that we all potentially have a friend that knows more and can help handle it better.
I bought arma 3. Got into a koth match, jumped in a carrier chopper and watched the pilot fly us into a mountain. Respawned and ran into the point got killed by a tank round from idfk where. I then jumped on SQUAD and got ptsd from crawling through a field to a capture point while an Abrams strafed the area blowing everyone and everything up. Arma 4 needs to hurry because three is lacking on the graphics and textures
Not really tho. This depth allows for a variety of unique gameplay scenarios to unfold. It might not be fun to you sure and that's understandable, but certain people like this type of gameplay.
This looks so good, but the controls are so bad but I will reinstall video games would be so good if players didn't play them like they were playing paintball. mill sims would benefit from a real gun fixed to the monitor and then I bet players would play as if their lives depended on it lol
The system cash in alot of money just because they made games dumber and decided to sell to non-gamers. I remember on Amiga 500 and early PC you needed to read the manual in order to play a simulation. Instead they need to be "user friendly" now, which means dumbed down.
oBehemoth Sure it needs a different planning. Needs a deeper knowledge of your intentions, the users and the gaming industry as a whole but, you know, why bother? They sell alot anyway and that's because we're dumbed down from all sides, from all kind of directions: movies, music, education, relationships and so on. They figured out it would be easier to entertain dumb and distracted people, selling the same thing all the times, it's cost effective and fuck the evolution of the media itself. Guess we are evolving, it's slow yet inevitable, the fact that You know it Can be done proves that we are evolving, at least we can picture a way.
Damn , this game look so real !

Arma 4 confirmed. People. Pull out your 12 core processors at 10 GHz and your 32 GB of ram as well as 2 GTX titans and a 2000 watt PSU :D
This game is hard. I sometimes prefer watching a well executed mission than playing myself.
play with me and my friends, we always play for fun :D

Can you do one on Leading a Fireteam to leading a Platoon
from where do you get this game??... is it only online gameplay???
from steam. no, there is a campaign, some single player showcases, and tons of custom user missions on steamworks.
thnx man, cant wait to jump in this virtual battlefield >:D
is your computer powerful enough?
I'm confused, is Arma 3 divided into games or are there just everlasting servers which you can get on and play for hours sort of like an mmo? Coordinating this much detail would seem like a waste if it's dodged into games and you have limited time...
Looking forward to getting arma 3 this week grate video

Why is Bohemia Interactive listed as a 3rd Party developer for PS4, which game are developing for PS4 or are they making an ArmA game for this system?

Consoles wouldnt be able to handle this game at all. too large of maps and scenery for the limited hardware to handle.
peoplerox And there's already enough hotkeys and keyboard-only functions. Plus this game is literally nothing without mods.
this game looks interesting but it seems to take more dedication than what im willing to put in. Add on what looks to be a major difficulty barrier and you have a game that has my attention but nothing more.
How much does this game cost?
i Love how you make these videos!! O.O
Many facets, I love that guy In Game Of Thrones! come on next season!
+IM4CH1NE Uhm what?

My PS4 is gathering dust.
***** Right, there's nothing to hate on Win7, it works and it's pretty easy to handle nowadays. Plus it's so common that we all potentially have a friend that knows more and can help handle it better.
is this an tutorial?
i would love this on ps4, we need simulation shooters on consoles. bf4 is ok but it aint sim.
This game looks really cool, too bad that i cant aford a Pc that would play this game at good settings

Fuck this shit.
I want a new Quake :D
i wish i had a pc so bad :C
This is too damn much for a fucking game
Too much for a kid who think their're a gamer to take in
***** Pretty much.
Do you mean there are easy games out there? :o
well its supposed to be a simulator, its supposed to be like that
Not really tho. This depth allows for a variety of unique gameplay scenarios to unfold. It might not be fun to you sure and that's understandable, but certain people like this type of gameplay.

but I will reinstall

Giampaolo Mannucci Depth needs to be met with accessibility. User experience is important, but its possible to achieve depth as well.
oBehemoth Sure it needs a different planning. Needs a deeper knowledge of your intentions, the users and the gaming industry as a whole but, you know, why bother? ***** Sure, that's granted. Overly simplified and dumbed down controls does not equal a good game too.
***** The argument being that the streamlining leads to feature strip making the game less "fun."
So are these all real players???? Is this like a gamemode??? How can I play this with serious players???
join a unit... look up joint strategic defense force (jsdf), we're a pretty good unit imo
I wish i was smart enough to play this.
Wait what.
Yeah you'll find Cod outside that door over there.
Mr. Psycho I mean, I didn't realise Gamespot was hosting the series?
Cael Bravery they aren't
Why have they uploaded it?
Cael Bravery they reuploaded it from the ARMA 3 official channel
some trolls would crash the helicopter.
like eveyone in BF4
This isn't the playground of kiddos. On a good server you won't run into assholes.
+abacs21 Hello, fellow Warthunder-er *salute*
101jir
Wow, such an ancient post of mine....
Do I know you, kind sir?
abacs21 starkwolf. Actually ended up looking into this because I might play Arma 4 if they ever make it.
