The shears are not sharp so they don't really dull. It has more to do with the tightness of the bolt and the blades properly aligning. That said, most Cutco shears in my experience last about 10-20 years of family abuse before people send them to the factory to get refurbished/replaced. Solid set of shears
@@kitchenguyluke3559 Yeah, the shears are among the top rated kitchen shears in reviews. They are expensive, but are good quality shears. I don't abuse mine by cutting pennies or materials that I wouldn't normally cut doing normal kitchen tasks. Mine get plenty of use. I actually have a couple other kitchen shears, cheaper ones, and you can definitely tell the difference.
