The spirt was an immortal super hero though in his comic he would sometimes act like the crypt keeper telling tales involving other characters. He also had several nock offs the most well known being a character called midnight.
Man. I wish we had shops like that here in the UK! We obviously have secondhand bookshops. But it’s rare they have massive horror sections like that. Usually they revolve around sci-if/fantasy
I was just wondering do you ever read any of your books out loud while recording to put on your UA-cam channel for visually impaired people like myself that can't always read things for themselves, but love hear stories by any chance?
You're lucky, Cameron. At least you get to go to bookstores that have their horror separated from other genres to make it easier. The used bookstore here in Bakersfield mixes their horror with their mysteries and thrillers as well as with their sci-fi. It's so annoying. Anyway, enough of my griping. Looks like you made out like a bandit. Great haul!
The Jeff Fain book is the first US book I brought, a friend and I got a copy each at Woolworths. We were about 11 years old and compared notes in the playground each day.
I had the Tales from the Midnight hour book. The original one you just got, we used to have a book fair that would come to our school when I was a kid it's where I got mine, I loved that book "The black velvet ribbon" was my favorite story in the book!
That bookstore sounds like something out of a dream (or nightmare)! I do have a copy of Pep Rally, but I'll keep my eye out for you. I'm thinking maybe that copy of The Mine IS the same copy of the book you keep seeing. Just a little something to keep you up at night. Amazing haul!!
I think it's both inspiring and cute in your adorkable love and fanaticism of books. I've been reading a lot more novels, not comic books in recent years and while horror is not a personal favorite of mine, I think I should eventually expand my horizons.
I'm super late to this video, but your jacket is so cool! This book store sounds amazing 😍 Some of these titles called up some old memories for me, I hope you enjoy your haul! ~Laura
Wonderful video! You seem very good at getting me into paperbacks thought most of my book collection is hardcover which is quite a feat indeed. Your channel is fabulous !
Great book haul man. I've recently getting into horror and I am inspired by your vids that I want to start collecting my own vintage books. I wonder if you have any favorite online shops for your books.
I just read Ancestors by Robert Y Kline. I was surprised to see you mention it. Did you read it? The best part of the book is the cover art by Tim Hildebrandt. The artist who did the original 1977 Star Wars movie poster.
Hey Cameron- I just stumbled on your channel and I'm enjoying your content. I'm starting to collect vintage books as well from my childhood. Specifically Christopher Pike paperbacks with the original cover art. He was my absolute favourite author growing up
That was an AMAZING haul!!!! 😮 i wish i found stores like that near me in minnesota! hopefully you got them all for a great price! but a lot of those are really hard to find! theres a couple local ones near me but anything horror related i have already snatched lol
Fun Fax was essentially a children's filofax. For some weird reason organisers and filofaxes where really popular during the early nineties. There where a bunch of books you could buy to add to your Funfax. Most of them where either activity or reference books. There where a few spinoffs including SpyFax,Magicfax and a Horrorfax.
Fantastic haul and video. Regarding the Will Eisner Spirit Casebook- Eisner is possibly THE most important and influential comic writer and artist in comic book history. The Spirit is his most famous creation. What you've got there is essentially a novelty graphic novel in old-style paperback form starring one of the most famous characters in comics. A really good find.
I LOVE those Dark Forces books, and I can't find the couple I'm still missing anywhere. I'm old enough that I read them when I was a kid, when they were new. WHY O WHY didn't I keep them? *sob* Anyway, I'm sure you've read "Paperbacks from Hell: The Twisted History of '70s and '80s Horror Fiction" by Grady Hendrix?
Amazing haul! You said butt lust with a straight face, you're more mature than I am 😂Redwork sounds awesome, totally my thing too, pls review that soon 👻I wish these detailed and stylized artworks for books made a comeback. Also embossing and cutouts.
Go look up that Hiding Place book on Amazon. You got an AMAZING deal on it. I don't know anything about the book, but when I went to look for more info, the price shut me down immediately.
I know! Amazon prices on these old books are insane, but don’t let that discourage you. Keep an eye out on eBay. An affordable copy could pop up any day, you just have to keep checking so you don’t miss it. :)
Another great video man, I use your vids as personal guides in the search for new creepy reads to add to my collection. I am now in the lookout for a good bookstore with a big horror collection here in L.A so in case anyone knows of any let me know pls.
I've got all 13 volumes of the Hot Blood series; they're pretty awesome if you like that sort of thing which oddly enough I do. Shock Rock is really good; I believe it opens with a story by Stephen King "You Know They Got a Hell of a Band". Sorry for so many comments but if I wait to comment after I've watched instead of while I'm watching I lose my train of thought.
Do they carry Men's Adventure , TV / Movie Tie - In . and / or Children's series books ?? ( Such as The Hardy Boys , Nancy Drew , Trixie Belden , and others ?? )
Good books. I haven't read those. Though I totally like the sound of Bad Blood, can you start with that? we can probably expect Taylor Swift to appear in one of those pages.
Hey if u can help me in finding a book pls it would great of u I read a book long time back and now don't remember it's proper name.... Neither its author... So pls if u can help let me know
I’ve read a lot of Gallagher’s and Laws books with them being U.K. authors. You can’t go wrong with any of them really, but I can’t comment if any have dated as I read then as they came out.
The spirt was an immortal super hero though in his comic he would sometimes act like the crypt keeper telling tales involving other characters. He also had several nock offs the most well known being a character called midnight.
Buttlust 😂😂😂 sorry that was funny af
"You should check them out, they have a really great selection there".......not anymore🤣🤣🤣. Great haul!!!!
Man. I wish we had shops like that here in the UK! We obviously have secondhand bookshops. But it’s rare they have massive horror sections like that. Usually they revolve around sci-if/fantasy
Love the shocking pink of the Horror High book covers!
Also: Buttlust.
I was just wondering do you ever read any of your books out loud while recording to put on your UA-cam channel for visually impaired people like myself that can't always read things for themselves, but love hear stories by any chance?
I definitely would watch a series of book haul videos for sure
I would enjoy a long video of your recent acquisitions, and a tour of your new library once you have it completely set up and in order.
Cameron, you are always a very good and interesting reviewer and I am always honored that you choose my music for your videos!
I laughed really hard when you were discussing the BloodLust books! 🤣
You're lucky, Cameron. At least you get to go to bookstores that have their horror separated from other genres to make it easier. The used bookstore here in Bakersfield mixes their horror with their mysteries and thrillers as well as with their sci-fi. It's so annoying.

Buttlust. You've got me rolling cameron. And you said it with such a straight face for a second i thought that was really the name 😂😂😂
I had the Tales from the Midnight hour book. The original one you just got, we used to have a book fair that would come to our school when I was a kid it's where I got mine, I loved that book "The black velvet ribbon" was my favorite story in the book!
That is a really fun little read! I need to reread it one of these days. :)
I am glad you are back. ☺ I miss your videos.
Nearly every one of the Tor books you bought I had back in the day. I was big on Tor back then. Leisure, too.
Did you ever read any of Leisure Books " Cherry Delight " novels ??
@@thesilencer1969 No. Were they Leisure Horror? I don't think I've ever heard of them.
Wow all those books. It must of been so exciting in that book shop xx
The funfax collection looks so interesting i dont remember them even though i had a funfax. Lots of other great finds too.
Oh nice haul! What a place to find! Oh I would love to find a gem bookstore like that!!! Fantastic selection here and these covers!!! Ughh I just wow!
No better way to kick off Summer than with an awesome vintage books haul! Tfs!
Love watching your book hauls I read a lot of them as a kid I have tried finding some of them again myself they had the best ya horror in those days
It was my post in Books of Horror group page that you saw!! :) Loved this video, was awesome to see what you picked up at Around About Books!
I think it's both inspiring and cute in your adorkable love and fanaticism of books. I've been reading a lot more novels, not comic books in recent years and while horror is not a personal favorite of mine, I think I should eventually expand my horizons.
I came across a book today with a cool cover called, The Manse. Really awesome I can't wait to read it!
I have that one! Still need to give it a read though. Hopefully this Halloween 🎃

That place sounds like a real treasure trove! You definitely scored some amazing finds :D
Wonderful video! You seem very good at getting me into paperbacks thought most of my book collection is hardcover which is quite a feat indeed. Your channel is fabulous !
Great haul as always!
I had a copy of The Dracula Archives when I was a kid back in the 70's. It's pretty awesome to see a copy of it now.
Hey Cameron- I just stumbled on your channel and I'm enjoying your content. I'm starting to collect vintage books as well from my childhood. Specifically Christopher Pike paperbacks with the original cover art. He was my absolute favourite author growing up
Two of my fav words: vintage and horror
I love this hall! *butt lust* 🤣 also jealous of how perfect condition you always find used books in...like how???? 😭
Amazing haul, you always pick up great books! I recently read Raw Pain Max and it was a lot of fun, a little explicit but that doesn't bother me.
Honestly I'd love a long video with everything you've gotten!
I am incredibly jealous of your collection! Lol 😫
Buttlust 🤣🤣 great video, hair looking good too 👍🏻
I loved Shivers! That was my favorite series aside from Goosebumps.
I go to round about books all the time love it
After surfing through all the horror book tubers! I’ve got!! To expand my library!!

"Buttlust" is entering my permanent lexicon :D
Also, I just found a fun fax book on eBay yesterday and purchased it.! I’ve never heard of the series so am excited to see more here in your video ☺️
I have a copy of Shock Rock and I love it. Imagen some of the weirdest things that could happen during a concert or haunted equipment.
By the way, Cameron, when will we see a new bookshelf tour? It intrigues me where do you put your haul books.
Awesome horror book haul.
I loved the Shivers books
I had the Dream Painter! Wow nostaligia
Are you excited for the Tor's Nightfire publication coming next year? Wondering if they are getting new authors or more established ones.

Hey, I was just wondering where you got that little zombie guy in the back 🤔
Awesome video!
Good books. I haven't read those. Though I totally like the sound of Bad Blood, can you start with that? we can probably expect Taylor Swift to appear in one of those pages.
Any recommendations on great slasher books?
Love point horror books I read some right now
Wild Blood is about werewolves. I read it; it's pretty good.
I actually own redwork but I have no idea where it's at I found it for 59 cents at a book swap when I was around 14 lol
Hi Cameron mike here, just wanted to ask you have you read ‘goodnight moom’ by Jack MacLane? It’s a really good horror book

You should start your own company where you remake all those books. Since they are almost hard to get.
I live in troy ohio love roundabout books they have tons
Valley of Lights is a great place to start with Stephen Gallagher! But all his books are excellent.
I’ve read a lot of Gallagher’s and Laws books with them being U.K. authors. You can’t go wrong with any of them really, but I can’t comment if any have dated as I read then as they came out.
Damn, I'm sorry, but that chair looks SOOO comfortable
Buttlust. LOL. I thought i was hearing things.

How about a Amazon Haul
Please write Buttlust now 😂

Wild Blood was great.. .werewolves, but a bit non-traditional.
