    Miyoko is an absolutely wonderful person. I worked for her company as both temp and actual employee from mid-March, 2016 to the end of February, 2022. I had several one-on-one conversations with her, some professional related, a couple personal. When I came out in June, 2021 as Trans, she was super supportive; I couldn't have asked for a warmer, more supportive welcome. I wish the best for her and hope she lands where she wants to be.

    I was listening her prepared on UA-cam video. And literally went to Shole foods here in UWS NY. And bought everything that was on the fridge. Not much 2 of each and i am using them with artisan homemade organic whole grain and seed bread very slowly. And i am sending her my high vibrational positive vibrations when my mouth taste that yumminess. She will succeed i feel it.

    Oh wow I'm really sorry this happened to her. This is outrageous.
    I can 100% say the people that did this to Miyoko are NOT VEGAN.
    These are the actions of pathogenic meat eaters. And I don't want to support that.
    I'm going to miss Miyoko's butter most of all.
    I hope she can start her own company again. 🙏

    Breaks my heart how sleazeball corporate profiteers can destroy the creator of wonderful ethical products!

    I was equally shocked to hear what happened to Miyoko. I will not buy another item from the company. But, I am subscribed to her new UA-cam channel.

    I was shocked and have been boycotting. I'm now making my own vegan butter for pennies. Support for Miyoko, what a debacle!

      Yes for sure. Not sure these days what's the best way to support. She's talked about how so many friends and family invested initially and how they're hurt too.

    The business world is cut throat and ruthless. Corporations tries to justify the takeover of Miyoko for the best interest of the business. They attempt to justify firing Miyoko as a solution because of business differences but this was her business, her decision to move foward in the direction she wanted. If the investers didn't like the direction then, they should have sold their shares and move on. Instead they chose to takeover the business for themselves. Miyoko may not have acute knowledge of the business world but she would have made her company a complete success maybe at a slower pace but she would have succeeded. She was in the process of growing with her company like many successsful entrepreneurs and making mistakes along the way is part of the game. To takeover a company from the creator is unethical. This is what corporations do with inexperienced business owners. They chew and spit them out. Personally, I wouldn't support or purchase any product from Miyoko's for ethical reasons.

      That definitely is a valid point... about not purchasing anything now from what was her old company. See my comment above.

      Thanks, Irfan! Appreciate the kind words. I hope so. Miyoko, or her social media director liked the post on LinkedIn. She’s said she’s not really on other platforms other than IG. Really just trying to quote and paraphrase what I’ve heard her say in other posts to help get the message out.

    Now and Zen got sold too. Maybe she needs a saavier financial advisor. Love her contribution to plant based foods. I was a big fan of her Unturkey.

    Often, I have pointed to Miyoko's beautiful projects and creations as models. So much work, energy, talent, and joy in living undermined...And, as we all know, humanity's food system needed all of it! Thank you for standing up for this spectacular entrepreneur, Ellen, with your unfailing integrity. Power to Miyoko. Power to you.

    Okay, first off...I'm talking to my Board of Directors. I didn't realize I could be removed from CJ Acres Animal Rescue Farm but I'm definitely intrigued. :D Secondly...and now seriously...boycotting the company isn't the answer BUT supporting her definitely is. Don't spend your energies tearing down (especially towards a firm that offers plant-based products). Do spend your energy building up those trying to help animals either through rescue or providing alternatives to eating meat/by-products.

      Hey CJ...great to see you here! Just now seeing your comments so sorry for the delay. As I've said in comments elsewhere, Miyoko was sort of saying don't boycott because her friends and relatives were the original seed money. But yet she was infuriated. Make sure you have a very golden parachute! 😬😱

    I met Miyoko at HealthFest in Marshall, TX awhile back. I was a vegan 'newbie'. There was a wine and 'cheese' party, featuring all her delicious cheeses... I was blown away, they were SO good! I guess I didn't meet you (until later, online), but I love your show of support/concern for Miyoko, and I'm sure we will all do what we can to help out, even if only in some small way.

    • @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota
      @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota  Рік тому +1

      Wow! Thank you so much Susan, for your very kind words. I remember that party. It was so much fun. All those recipes were from her book. And then Whole Foods came to her after that and said the recipes are wonderful…we’d like to carry your line. And the rest as they say, is history. I miss Healthfest, and all the people there. For those who didn’t have the pleasure and joy of attending, the mayor of Marshall got lots of press for as he said, curing himself of prostate cancer, and had made a lot of money in the oil industry, as I recall. So he used the money that he made to pay all of us speakers to come to Marshall. It went on for several years before Covid ended that and so many other vegfests around the world. I miss those times so much! We really felt like we were changing the way people viewed food. And to be able to attend a place where you could actually taste it was truly groundbreaking. Not only with Miyoko’s cookbook recipes but everyone’s… We would hear the same phrase, “I can’t believe it’s vegan.”

      Thanks so much, Sara. Yup, a kind of flash in the pan story so far. But I think part of that is because lawyers are involved and the muzzling effect they have. As we say in TV, stay tuned.

    I would think Miyoko, her family and her friends are all invested financially in Miyoko’s creamery

      Apologies...just going back through comments without a response. Life gets away from us sometimes. Yes, I believe that was true. In one video early on, I heard Miyoko giving a conflicted message...that yes, her sphere was invested but they would not be benefitting so much going forward. I haven't kept up with this as much as I would've liked, though I think once lawyers get involved, everyone goes mum. Have you heard anything? Please update if you have. Thanks for watching!

    how can we best support her? I have never tried her products, but I want to now, only if she's involved.
    would buying her cookbook help her ?

    • @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota
      @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota  Рік тому +1

      Great question many are still asking, Ebizzill. The last video I saw that she did said her friends and relatives provided the seed money so she didn't want to hurt them. Keep watching and Googling...

  • @keepthechange1

    My question is, was her company structured as a 501C3? How did the board members have more shares than she? This is never a good idea. This will surely get you voted out. MEN hate powerful and intelligent women. She was bullied out of her company. I can’t eat any products but Miyoko’s. Everything else is trash! This is so disturbing.

    • @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota
      @EllenJaffeJonesSarasota  10 місяців тому +1

      Disturbing is very accurate! I don't know the particulars, but maybe others reading do. She's been doing this a long time and is a very sharp cookie.

    • @keepthechange1
      @keepthechange1 10 місяців тому

      @@EllenJaffeJonesSarasota I have since learned all of the particulars. She was outvoted by a measly 1 percent. As it appears, the “Patriarchy” became concerned when she began to branch off and concentrate on other products. I believe this was their goal from the beginning. It’s disgusting. Her products are beyond superior. She does encourage her supporters to continue to use the products. As of now, the quality hasn’t been jeopardized in any way. I honestly can not fathom using any other so called plant butters, cheese and what nots. Her ingredient list will forever reign supreme.

    Please post aink where we can order directly from her. Let avoid the greedy company owners not buying from them anymore only from her. Please be specific . Seriously. Lets show the money greed ddsperate what real love can do. For the honor and love of Miyoko😊😊😊

      To be honest, I'm confused about what the best course of action is. I've seen conflicting reports not to buy her product because it contributes to the takeover-ees if there's such a word. ;)
      I wish I could stay on top of her current situation, but I work full time myself in addition to volunteering at many things to promote senior health and wellness, and of course the health benefits of a vegan diet.
      Also, once lawsuits are involved, both sides pretty much shut down, talking about anything. Lest it be used in the upcoming court battles. 🤪Such a mess, for sure. If you find out anything, feel free to share here.
