Was really excited about this upgrade. I have an all black Yukon Denali XL and thought these would be an added touch. But, $1600 is way out of my price range. Love the look, just not the price.
I'm going with the Morimoto, XBs. My left front turn signal started doing the hyperflash act. I thought I could just replace the bulb, but GM said ........NNNNNOOOOOOO! ........I had to replace the whole assembly, because, while the bulb was still good, the electronic controller inside the assembly was bad and there was no way to replace that. Agree that $1,600 is outrageous to replace a 'bulb', but GM charges $1,600 PER SIDE for their OEM assemblies just to get the same crappy lighting back which is worse than a 1939 Pontiac.
Love this Morimoto headlights on my 2015 Denali. It so much better than the OEM headlights. So much brighter driving at night and the daylight is a lot brighter also. Got my headlights on Black Friday sales. Delivered faster than I expected. Gonna enjoy it for as long as I can. 😊
@denvernuggets007 just a heads up I hooked up my lights yesterday and the high beam were stuck on. If this happens turn off and that little black block needs to swap harness cause it does matter. Mine cam hooked up wrong and now has a huge bubble on that little black block. Hope it works out, it looks good 👍
FYI guys, to make it a lot more simpler to remove and install new headlights, you remove the whole front bumper cover. All he had to do was pull and take off the front bumper to make his life easier on this.
Just installed my lights on my 2017 Denali. You had some good tips...Thank you. There were no instructions included in either box I received from Morimoto via Amazon. My only issue was I disconnected the sequential wire during installation (per video), but found out later that keeping the wire connected is the correct procedure for sequential mode.
you seem to keep going along like you know what's going to happen, and then when it doesn't, your confidence doesn't suffer, and you go forward into another misconception, then you publish them all on video
Thanks very much I'm waiting on mine ask we speak. 1 last question how long did it take you to get yours. Keep up the good videos I'm always looking for you to help me out upgrading my 2016 yukon denali xl
I know what you mean on changing headlights. I have 04 Tahoe easy peasy ,only two L bars to pull and remove. Now to change a light bulb will cost you almost $200 dollars for today’s vehicles.
How are you’re pair of morimotos headlights holding up ? I’ve had mine little over a year and they already messed up and can’t seem to get ahold of morimoto smh 🤦🏽♂️
Have you had any issues with the pedal max on any vehicles? I’m looking to put a throttle sensitivity booster on my f150 but can’t decide on which brand to go with
So, you gotta remove the cover above the engine, remove the bumper, remove the cover underneath, remove the wheel well covers, then remove the light assemblies to change out to new ones. PURE GENIUS, GM. Why not engineer it to also remove the roof, remove the motor, removed the drive train and both front doors? Jesus, fookin' chroist, what an abomination!
I installed these light - hooking them up to fuse box does absolutely nothing. For $1,600 these lights arw no where near as bright as other LED lights. Sadly ive had to install a 20" rough country light bar.
Nice upgrade! Question for you... I see that you are a GMC fan - what are your thoughts on the Suburban? I have an 04 Explorer 4X4 (did a few videos on it) and I plan on upgrading it for a Suburban 4X4 since the family is growing. Do you have a best year? Miles? DOD yes or no - I've only heard bad things about DOD. Chevy or GMC? I do have to say for the prices that I have seen about $50k+ for something that has 20k miles I might look at something new from anyone other than GM. The prices come down as they get older and miles go up. Thanks! Also, plans are to sell the Explorer as I would get more than on trade but as of today I haven't posted it anywhere but if you know someone that is a Ford fan? Thanks again for your opinion on the Suburban or if you do (or did) a video that would be great too!
I need to upgrade my head lights on the Silverado
Definitely

I did the same! Are you going to send back your old lights?
@@p1nrea1 yes! I’m waiting for the return mailing stickers from Morimoto.

@@p1nrea1 Wow 😯… really. I’m glad you got it figured out and like the headlights. If you’re satisfied you may want to return and get a new units?

Dude your the reason I went an got a Denali so far I got the corsa sport and cold air. Next is the lights and pedal commander.
Well mine just showed up yesterday. Time to put them on soon before my 1600mile trip to Montana. Hopefully they work great.
You still like the headlights.
@DunDealBMW Yep, sure do. One of them failed and they set me up with a new one too.
How have these headlights been? Are they still working as advertised?
So how do they work? I'm less interested in how they look and more interested in the beam pattern, throw, etc. Thanks.
Oh that looks awesome!! Well done. again!! :)
Sweet headlights, I'd buy them for $600, but at 1600, it's too much
Depending on the angle, looks like the grill might need darkened a bit.
Good job
How can get this parts to upgrade my Yukon Denali
I’m from Iraq
I bought set a year ago my bulb went out I wonder if you can change the bulb and not buy a whole new set
I’d check and see about warranty
Well it’s July of 2024, how they holding up??

Hey my question when turn your lights on does all 3 projectors stay on in low beam or is it 2?
all 3 are on high and low beam

Drivewise - big difference driving at night compared with the HIDs? Did you need to level/adjust them at all?
I installed mine yesterday but I am getting a annoying shadow In the loop being primarily Any thoughts on this? Thxs!

Did you have to adjust the headlights or did they come ready aimed from morimoto?
Mine were good from Morimoto
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA that's good to know. They are on backorder now so hopefully they come in soon!!
I just installed mine was a bit disappointed in them not that bright as expected.
@@Fausto27F they are a more focused beam but mine are plenty bright
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA i see but not worth the price.. does on coming traffic flash there lights at you? I think I have to adjust mine.

U should do the tails and if u have the 3rd break light that too
Looking really good
Looks good! Have you found any fog lights that match the color of your headlights?
From the video, it looks like there’s a fat gap where the top of the headlight meets the fender?
The gap is enough to fit a piece of paper so it doesn’t rub the paint
Have you had any issues with the pedal max on any vehicles? I’m looking to put a throttle sensitivity booster on my f150 but can’t decide on which brand to go with
Mine have all been working great
How's the output compared to the stock HIDs?
More focused beam but works great
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA mine come in tomorrow, did you have to aim yours or were they pretty good from the box?
@@patricktuggles4815 mine were good to go out of the box 📦
What exhaust system do you have ?
Corsa sport

Yup used to be so simple two rods no tools required
its much easier to remove the bumper.
Great video! What was the cost of those lights and do you have a discount code?
When are they being released???
Not sure exactly
Where else can I buy these
What’s your thoughts on the afm delete of the v4 mode? I hate how it sounds in v4

You should put LED bulbs in your fog lights to match these if you haven’t already
At the time they didn’t make that size

The Camaro is a bitch to remove as well ... I dig how Ford does their bumpers v GM ... just saying

If you ever decide to remove and sell these I will buy them from you.......Paypal ready and will send you a pre-paid UPS label:)
