Hids have more directional range while LEDs have more omnidirectional lighting so they have a brighter appearance at close distance but it doesnt travel as far and isnt as precise. But i agree if you love em then thats all that matters, plus they look good lol
I find that mixing color ranges, primarily on vehicles like these that leave lows and highs on together, give a better result. Often one color range is good in the dry conditions, and another is better in wet, etc... So, having them all on together gives you the best possible lighting scenario in all weather / outdoor conditions. Same premise behind the yellow fogs of old (and new).... that wavelength cuts fog FAR better than any white or blue could ever accomplish... hence mixing works best. Maybe not for aesthetics, but for performance and actual real world use.
I'm more of a HID guy. I totally agree with you on lowering a 4x4. I used to have a 4" lift and aggressive offroad tires, but the only time it saw offroad was when pulling into a dirt parking lot 😅 Lowered 4/6 with street tires. SO much better.
the auxito leds i got for my mustang with D3S bulbs work amazing. but i just hate the dead spot on the road so i ordered HIDs again. i went with the night breaker laser next gen this time around

Bummer, maybe next year. I still have about 6 weeks until I can think about putting the 22s back on. I got a set of 18" Tahoe take offs for the winter months.
I picked up my take offs at my local GM dealer. They had 7 miles on them, came with tires and TPMS for $750. Both GM dealers near get take offs pretty frequently.
Diode Dynamics has a great warranty service. I've warrantied several items over the years and they never question it. I had an LED headlight stop working after one year and they sent me a whole new set! So now I have a spare.
They look good to me. And i like the color also. My wife has a chevy Trax and the projectors are almost yellow and the DLRs are a bright white. Same goes for my Mazda 3, HID projectors are a yellowish color and my fogs have a blueish tint. So I'm always watching You Tube for the best recommendations.
I use Lasfit LEDs. Super bright and super cheap! High beams, low beams, fog lights, and reverse lights too. I have some other super bright LEDs for the license plate lights too. No lights are not LED anymore!
Nice ride, I like the LED swap. I also own a Yukon XL Denali that's lowered as well. The benefits of a dropped SUV outweighs stock height by far! Looks great
Looks great! I’m currently replacing all of my lights to LED in my 2015 Tahoe that’s 4 wheel drive. Makes me wanna lower mine like yours! Thanks for the videos, it has helped me a lot!
6:21 Eastern on Monday, 3.27. Following your lead, I purchased the Alla LED fog lights & also the Sealight high beam LED and installed both today in my 2019 Yukon Denali. Wow, what a difference. I’ve been wanting to make this switch for a long time. My last move will be to upgrade the low beams. Your recommendation, the Yucgw or the Sinoparcel?
I just replaced my stock highs and lows with leds from Amazon on my 2017 Yukon a brand called rimthin with built in fans I’m guessing to keep them cool. All together it was about $45. I got lucky and my Yukon doesn’t have the plastic ring just insert and twist thank goodness. Anyway I hope yours are still working. I was curious if you knew of led interior color lights for the courtesy lights and dome lights? Basically when I’d open the door it would light up blue instead of the stock white color. Thanks!
i just installed my new morimoto leds last night on my new 2017 Denali omg what a difference its so bright but they where 1100$ for pair but as much as i can see better was worth it
My LEDs are good enough for me 👍 but hid still beats led hands down. But leds have gotten really good at heat management. Mines barely dim even after driving for an hour.
Not sure I’m understanding the “conversion” part. Didn’t you replace HIDs with HIDs? I thought that’s what you said. I’m looking to put LEDs into my 2015 Yukon Denali. Which as you know come stock with HIDs. Are there plug and play LEDs that work in a HID ballast?
Thanks for the videos man I really enjoy them and good info. I have a 2016 Denali. I love it. Question, is it normal for a little hard shifting on cold start? Thanks again!
I went with the Diode Dynamic's OEM HID kit in my 2016 Yukon Denali. They look really good but the LED strip around the bulb is more blue than the HID lights.
Hello I have a question I just purchased the same lights head lights and right away I know ist that the base of the bulb the metal piece gets really hot is this normal?
Hey have you ever attempted to install a light up GMC emblem on your vehicle? Just wanted to know. I have a 2017 yukon xl SLT, and I have been trying to see if it is feasible.
Ok I have to know have they lasted and are they still working good. My windshield is tinted at 35% as well and looking to upgrade my stock HIDs. Thanks
Good quality LEDs does pretty good. I put the SV4s in my wife truck and she loves it, I love it. In my car I use DDM Tuning Saber 55w Pro X v2. I use to have the GTR lighting ultra 2 LEDs they were ok but DDM tuning Saber 55w LEDs are just brighter and have a tighter, the best beam pattern I've seen from aftermarket LEDs so far. I use to run 45w HIDs and love and miss the intensity and have been thinking of switching back. The GTR LEDs were bright but because the beam pattern wasn't as tight I loss color along the cut-off line and did not get that color flicker. DDM tuning LEDs with it's tighter beam pattern do produce some color along the cut-off line. The HIDs I had produce massive amounts of color and different hughs on the cut-off line. Quality LEDs are bright and the ones I use now have a close to stock beam pattern but I miss the sheer light volume of quality HIDs.
I see 3 different part numbers on the Amazon link. D1, D3, and D4. Will I need to look at something specific to my vehicle or is there one of those 3 that matches across the board? I have a 2019 GMC Yukon.
@@TWAMotorsports Yep; good 'ol 'H11' bulb. Thanks for your response. I just got this Yukon so I have a few things to figure out. I now begin my search for a good LED conversion for this setup. Thanks again.

I do a lot of driving and they are default on all the time in this vehicle. My personals all have the same bulbs and they are over a year.
Will this conversion still work if you suspect one of the ballast to be bad? Because I'm guessing since its plug and play, the ballast sends power to the LED?
Great video, I purchased these led lights. Had them for about a week now and they are pretty loud when they are on? I know it’s the fan on the actual light itself, are yours loud as well? Also just recently started having issues with my battery draining. Have you experienced this with your set up?
