There was an attempt when the C&NW was still around. They approached the IRM about leasing the locomotive for their steam program. After some consideration, the IRM turned down the offer
Railroads are sometimes overlooked in the grand scheme of contaminated sites, but they sometimes can be some of the most contaminated areas around. I hate to see the extent of area contamination somewhere like the GTW/CN Stratford or MCRR/NYC Jackson shops. Both shops still standing and occupied by workers of logistics and storage companies.
It's pronounced Men-AH-mi-NEE. As far as the demolition of the former shops complex, I don't see it as being at all suspicious. It was part of a plan led by the City of Milwaukee to remediate and redevelop the area, turning it back to profitable use. Former industrial sites of that sort are frequently contaminated, because in the good old days they didn't worry about making things out of asbestos or spilling oil onto the ground. I also think it's rather unlikely that IRM would let one of its pieces go to anything other than another reputable institution (full disclosure: I'm an IRM member and volunteer). And for not having any information? It's entirely possible that's because there was never much of a plan to begin with, likely just some speculation that never really got off the ground.
Considering the fact that I want to start a heritage railway out of the abandoned line in in Scioto County Ohio from portsmouth to rarden I kinda don't want to come across as this ....atleast the rails are still there as far as I know it just needs a bridge rebuilt after a washout lots of small trees cut track work and locomotive rental and some flat cars rebuilt as open and covered tourist cars if it pulled a profit things could be improved on the line until a biomass powered 4-4-0 could be built as the daily driver and not have to rent from the gramblins for their flag coal company locomotives shoot I could do all the pre track work with equipment I have access to locally if I could get local sponsors for gas, and equipment temporarily lent I wouldn't want anything more for payment than what anyone else's time is worth just so I could pay my own expenses
As long as certain shop sites are cleaned up, they can be occupied and the original buildings can survive. It takes effort and a diligent railroad to accomplish it in the first place though.

Please don't whisper into your mic if you're going to make a video. It's frustrating to need to turn my volume up just to be able to hear you.
I randomly came across this video and I have to agree with you here. The background music was a little too loud as well.
Best for Halloween.
Doesn’t sound like a whisper at all to me

Damn this info is very obscure just like how contrail once almost restored 3001 to operational condition
yeah, its very obscure, maybe I should cover that next....
Hm I thought that it would be for the 21st Century Limited
If it goes anywhere it needs to come to Souix city and be part on the Milwaukee road shops there
I never knew that Milwaukee Road 265 was going to be restored. At least we have 261 that's running
Yeah, its a very obscure topic that never really came to be
Indeed

Think you could do more suspicious plan videos?
It I can find em!
He kept talking about it all night last night
shhhh.... nobody needs to know about that....
Hmmm
I hope it is
You need a pop-filter.... Also, you are too quiet and are practically whispering. Maybe do some audio tuning?
I have one, I just wasn't using it at the time, plus it was like 1 in the morning when I did this so yeah its quiet, sorry about that

265 as I know of has a good boiler and just needs mostly running gear work to my knowledge

@@cnwproductions she was just cosmeticly restored idk if the parts are hiding in storage or the tender I know those are commonly where parts end up
