    Whew I got ABS light, check engine light, anti-skid message, and aftermarket wheels with 20mm spacers on a Hilton stage 2+ tune. I keep the fluids fresh, and ginger the car, driving every other day.

      We don’t know if you saw, but our gauge cluster doesn’t work other than the check engine light. We carry a sense of hope whenever we drive it, same as you, every other day just about!😮‍💨

      @WhipGetters Take it apart and hit the solder joint with some Flux and some heat from the iron. Not much to lose. Only other option would be to send it off to xemodex.

      @@OnShouldersOfGiants We tried taking it apart and soldering it to sadly have no luck. Volvo wants $1500 to fix it, so naturally we were like, hell no. We might have to send it off like you suggested!😮‍💨

      @@WhipGetters I sent my CEM to XemodeX, the whole sensor system was out of sync. They ended up replacing mine with a refurbished one. Other than the key out of sync and security reflash, it went well. Trouble shooting, replaced O2 sensor bung, TCV valve, boost pressure sensor, and got the Hilton rear O2 delete on the stage 2. Check engine 😂

    Thinking of buying a Volvo v70 t5 manual, what's your opinion.

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому +2

      We think that would be a really great choice. Just make sure to look over what might need to be done before you buy it. If you’ve seen our older videos, these Volvos can be very good or bad depending on who took care or it. Or didn’t. But with the right arsenal of info, you’ll find a great one and fall in love with it!

      I just junked my 1998 V70. I could have had it repaired but I don't need 3 cars. So I'm driving the newer 1999 70XC, my wife's old car. Meanwhile my wife has a 2022 Subaru. We both prefer the Volvo wagons over the Subaru.
      My neighbor in German was a master Mercedes mechanic and he said Germans call Volvos tanks because they're so sturdy and reliable.

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому

      They used to call the older Volvos Turbo Bricks because you could turbo them and make them literal tanks while also looking like a brick!🤣 They are just great reliable cars if they’re taken care of.

      @@WhipGetters Yeah, I couldn't find a tuning platform. I'm now on the official Polestar stage 1, trynna find a suitable turbocharger replacement.

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому

      That platform seems very difficult compared to the older gen platforms. We thought it was difficult enough to find tuners and supporting mods for them alone. We see a lot of B5 platform cars running wheels and suspension, but performance is very hindered!

But before any buying, go check out our other video on “What You Should Know Before Buying A Volvo!” video and it should help you out! Volvos with high mileage can bad if it wasn’t taken care of. is it normal when taking sharp turns with my volvo s60 for the tires to rub on the inside of the wheel well?

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому

      It’s could be a couple things. Possibly that your tires are too big for the wheel, wheels (if running aftermarket) are possibly too close, wide or overall big for the car. Or you might have suspension becoming bad. It could be a number of things! We hope this helps!👍

    Hi Whipgetters hope you can help me with a query im thinking of buying a 2004 volvo s60 it has a slight bump on the front that broke the entire headlight and wiper fluid reservoir the airbags did not activate and the car has 75000 miles on it and without check engine on, the only thing that stops me from buying it is that the service light is on in the instrument panel (triangle that is usually orange); but in this case the triangle is red, so I was investigating and the red triangle indicates a failure that could be serious for the car, I was wondering if the triangle could have turned red because, due to the crash, it has disconnected the headlight, the windshield wiper tank and the headlight wiper blade, I also read that it may be because the car battery no longer works and the light turns red (Since the owner tells me that if the car passes more after a week without turning on it discharges), sorry for so much text but I am seriously interested in the car and I wanted to know if the red triangle could mean that the car breaks down very soon since it is going to be my first car, I hope you can answer and like i said sorry for so much text, thanks and keep making such great content.

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому +1

      Hey man! We’re hoping we can give you a little bit more info and insight on this. First off you are 100% right about the triangle error display. Normally when the car is in some sort of damage protection, the warning light will turn red. Now since there’s been damage to the front end, it really could be a number of things which is difficult in some cases. It could be air bag sensors at fault, it could be something wrong with the battery as in it being dead or very close to dead or even possibly a couple other things. What will tell you the most is the ECU. If you do have the chance, when you do go and see it, bring a scanner with you just so you can read the codes. Then once the codes are read and you have actual code numbers, use this website: dtcdecode.com/Volvo and just search for your exact code and it will tell you what’s wrong. Also don’t be sorry for the amount of text, you’re more than fine. As far as that, that should be your best option. 75,000mi on the car is great but you definitely want to be cautious about what you’re getting into. We’re not saying it’s a bad car, not at all. But getting someone else’s nightmares are even more of a pain. We hope we’re able to help in anyway and if you have more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!😎

      @@WhipGetters i tried having the hood open and reving to see if it would move but it didnt, is there anything specific i should look for on the mount?

    • @WhipGetters
      @WhipGetters  Рік тому +1

      The mount is usually the problem. Your lower torque mount goes bad alllllll the time. It’s a very common issue. We’ve upgraded ours to polyurethane because the frequent replacements. You might have to get it in the air to inspect it. Normally that’s the issue. Or worst case scenario is the transmission is starting to slip. But check your mounts first!
