- What’s the whole story? Are you writing stories about your future that are filled with fear rather than faith?
Watch out for the story you tell yourself. We are all guilty of telling ourselves horror stories and making up what-if scenarios. Many of us could give Stephen King a run for his money with the scripts we write in our heads. But here’s a helpful insight, I choose the story I tell myself. And when I constantly take in information from media sources that inspire fear and anxiety, I am much more likely to tell myself that scary story. This is a big reason why we should check the news, not watch it. We should check social media, we shouldn’t live on it.

everyone should think this way: maybe the reason you got a flat tire was to keep you from getting into an accident. i try to use this in my life, whenever something goes wrong or unexpectedly, i think about why. i think about how maybe something great wouldn’t happen unless something bad happened first. I feel like he's preaching straight to me. I'm in a storm in my life right now and I keep replaying the worst case scenario for my future. I've got to let go and give it to God and trust that he already has my life planned out and He is in control of the situation.

Oh Jesus! since this COVID situation, what with no face to face church services, I’ve been listening to whatever sermons I can get my hands on finding time in between work and family and all that......this sermon brought me to tears, thank you Pastor Stephen the way your preach The Word it really gets to me, it is helping me so so so much on this journey getting to know God and His word in a way I never could thus far , 4 yrs since I was saved ....so much more and more and more .....praising and thanking God every day , no matter what !
I just can't get enough of these clips!!!!! I needed to hear this so badly today. Ive gotta pray every morning to even get out of bed this week... its been such a hard year, on me and everyone around me. I've got the weight of their problems and mine. And I've been furious with God and the people who let me down because I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask to be where I'm at right now. And I don't see the purpose in all this pain and struggle. And I've always been real with God. He and I talk all day every day. If he called me, He's gonna hear from me whether I'm thanking Him for his blessings, praying for my loved ones, or screaming at the top of my lungs when I'm angry. I know He understands. He put it in me - I know He can take it. 😄 But despite all the bad right now..... God has been so faithful to me and blessed me time and time again.
I prayed from the minute I woke up until now that God would give me a word... help encourage me so I could get through today, because all this grief is wearing me out and I didnt want to face the world today... and i pulled up my UA-cam channels with the intent of finding one of Steven Furticks messages for encouragement, and this was the first video on my feed. And it is EXACTLY what I needed today. 100%. I cannot thank you enough.... ❤❤❤ i always thank God for you, your family and your ministry. Helping people all around the world that you don't even know about. May God bless you and yours 🙏

So I came across this on my feed last night and it hit me like a ton of bricks when you started talking about your friend that lost his ministry! Those friends were my Pastors. ! I still call them my Pastors! They were instrumental in my walk with God from 2013! There passion for God, the truth, The just one more! When you mentioned the cancer and your confusion, your confusion, your confusion and then the answer!!! It’s not your story!!!
BAM!!! It slammed me like a freight train!!
It’s in the story where we are formed! It’s in the pressing! It’s the new wine we are made into by the glorious Grace of God! His precious Grace! I don’t deserve it! Nobody does! But it’s given so freely! Unending chances for any who choose! It’s all about the choices and perspectives!

As a sufferer of ocd for years this spoke to me on a spiritual level. Watching your videos made me realize God has a plan for me and my faith can beat all my fears.
