When you say we’re in a French town eating Italian nice use to actually be in Italy, it was the border that’s why you see a lot in Italian and they speak their own language called nicoise. That little square with the fountain called place Rossetti you can rent the apartment above the ice cream shop and the balcony looks down onto the square, really stunning view.
The girls will look back on the trip and forget the intense heat and remember the total ambiance! What a wonderful experience for them and a great place to explore in your new van!
Been enjoying your vlogs... the loud sound you heard was actually the cannon (mortar) that goes off to mark noon. it is a tradition that dates back to the 19th century, started by an English gentleman. And yes, there is an elevator, not far from the start of the steps. (It has been out of order, though, quite a bit this year)
Don't comment much as watch on my TV but this has been an amazing series so far! In fact, there haven't been any vlogs that I haven't loved! Hope you both are good xxx
We are loving these vlogs! Thank you for sharing them xx you guys are the best and your sister and her 2 beautiful daughters are very blessed to have such amazing uncles ❤❤
Hi Nick & Leigh The view from the top of those stairs looked amazing & absolutely loved that waterfall. The Old Town where you eat your pizza reminded me of Trestevere in Rome❤ Yet another great vlog guys xx
Just loving your blogs guys….. To be honest I stumbled across you when I was going though an anxious time and you guys just brought a smile to my face and made me laugh. We have no plans or intentions to go to USA but I have thoroughly enjoyed your blogs from there non the less and also in your lodge and apartment. Re France….. that is our absolute favourite place in Europe (we live in Australia) and, as previously mentioned you are visiting some of our favourite places. Next year when you come with the van, check out Mandelieu, much cheaper and easier to park and has a lovely small Sandy beach (and Asian supermarket) . Very close to highway so easy to get to places. Finally don’t miss the Masif de L’Esterel, the colours in this area are just amazing!!! You guys will love it 😍
You tend to find shops/restaurants are open even on Sunday if it’s considered to be a tourist area. The slight exception is supermarkets which may only even then be open until 1pm
Ive loved these france vlogs, thanks guys. Ive seen alot of france with my parents at a kid. If you like the small streets then i can highly recommend Venice ❤. But go out of season it gets very busy.
Great blogs The area has astounding beauty as well as some of the best places to eat. A word of warning re saying in Cannes Nice etc don’t eat at the sea front restaurants Ie the first row but the second or third row back, the food is usually better as it’s where the locals eat and probably half the price as the front row bars restaurants etc are Very expensive. You may also find your round of drinks goes up after 2200 hrs.. no your not getting ripped off, well you are in a way because after that time the bars can charge an entertainment surcharge.. they don’t have to have any on but you will still pay the surcharge. Re Nice beach. It’s not sand but stones
Absolutely loved your vlogs from the South of France never been there but love all the villages you went to love the steep streets & quaint shops and town squares.
Great vlog, love Nice, never gets old, beautiful and soo refreshing that waterfall. I must be due a trip back there soon. Janeen wears some lovely dresses . Thanks all ❤
We caught the land train up to the top, from the seafront of Nice, I’ll just rub it in it was very leisurely, beautiful stunning views from up the top, there was a shot where you held the camera over Nice and I have a photograph of same shot. We missed the cemetery’s but that was probs coz we caught the train up and down. Was disappointed with the beach because of big pebbles, very hard to walk on. We did have a dip though. Loved Nice, did you see the water jets square, up where the black and white tiles on the floor, that was great fun.
We stayed in an apartment in Nice marina, years ago now & have such happy memories ❤ I remember standing and watching a lightning ⚡️ storm out over the sea 😍 Beautiful place ❤ super duper vlog 👍🏻 xx
Great vlog guys, have enjoyed these vlogs so much. Love France, thank you so much for sharing with us. Love your family, the girls behaved impeccably. A real credit to you all xxx 💙💙💕💕💕 xxx
Really lived this vlog. Ivd been to nice when was on a cruise ship. We docked in ville de france. Then got the train to nice. Omg you jogged my memory with the pizza. So good ! . I so live all the content you add into your vlogs you have helped me make decisions when i have or going to visit places you have already been to.. in a few weeks im off on the ncl getaway ship and we dock in hamburg... have you ever been there ? If so any advise ? Take care guys Therese x
@thelodgeguys isn’t there a lift to the top of Nice I remember in 2019 refusing to walk up the steps to see the view it was amazing at the top thanks to the lift 😅
Hi guys with you enjoying pizza so much I'm surprised you haven't purchased an ooni pizza oven yet. We have a pellet one and honestly the best pizza you will have and only takes 60 secs to cook
I would rather be sitting here in my nice air conditioned Living room watching someone else struggling with the crowds and extreme heat! Thank you guys for going through all of this torture just for me! LOL
Are the girls really enjoying the trip? They don't seem to like the heat, climbing all those stairs and scenic views. They just want to have some age appropriate fun!
I’m sure they’re having the best time ever with their favourite uncles! They’ll be having lots of “age appropriate fun” , just doesn’t make good content watching children playing.
Exactly that. They spent hours in the pool each day which we didn't film. They went to playgrounds which we didn't film. People forget they only see snippets of our day
We could have taken them to florida and it would ld have been even hotter. Kids don't like heat so should we never take them abroad? They did loads each day which we didn't film. They cried when it was time to go home as they didn't want to leave. They LOVED it
I hv been living in the South of France 18 years...now then...the problem is...Nothing changes...that is good, they maintain their culture...but its getting tired. Nothing New...Even the Govt. Is buying thousands of Vineyards...Everything is Subsidised...paying everyone to grow something else...France is Adorable, but SHE has to move forward...Xxxxxx
Nice certainly has some beautiful views, which I guess isn’t difficult when it’s perched on the Mediterranean. As I said in a previous comment, I’m not sure I could handle all of the climbing, but it looks like it’s totally worth it.
The brits are the only people that have pineapple & ham Hawaiian pizza, its not known in other countries, so im quite suprised your getting Hawaiian pizza in south of france 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Views are sooo beautiful! What an opportunity for the girls to see the history & all the sights, certainly doesn’t hurt them to walk, yes it’s hot but they are young!! Lol!🇨🇦

Thanks for the info about the Cannon , it sounded just like a gunshot

The yacht in the harbour is a cruise yacht with an 184 number of passengers.

I’m sure they’re having the best time ever with their favourite uncles! They’ll be having lots of “age appropriate fun” , just doesn’t make good content watching children playing.
exactly! Shame. They aren't even teenagers. Miles and miles in HOT weather.
Exactly that. They spent hours in the pool each day which we didn't film. They went to playgrounds which we didn't film. People forget they only see snippets of our day

What about the families that take thier young kids walking for miles and miles around Disney in the blistering heat? Guess that's wrong too 🙄
Im assuming you didnt find the lift that takes you up the hill........
no, lol
I just always think of Epcot when I se Boulangerie
Did anyone count the number of steps to get up that mountain in Nice?
I hv been living in the South of France 18 years...now then...the problem is...Nothing changes...that is good, they maintain their culture...but its getting tired. Nothing New...Even the Govt.
