The game had its flaws for sure but it gave opportunities to show off how Batman has affected each person of the bat family in their personality and fighting style. Like most of them take good trait of his and make it even better

They have the whole Arkham collection on PS4 store for like 8 bucks. I'm gonna get it. You're gameplay has inspired me to pick up Batman again. I never. Ever. Thought to use the exploding gel to extend combos and do finishers. I just used it as a trap mechanism. Like spray it near a downed enemy that I took out loudly to attract the others and then blow them up. But the Batman vids really opened my eyes to the versatility of ALL of the gadgets.
Despite the negative reviews this game has received, I feel like in a few years, everyone will be saying that this game is an "underrated gem" or a "misunderstood masterpiece" like they always do. lol

Isn’t it frustrating to think that if Batman had not had his bat family to take over his mantle in protecting Gotham, he would have died for nothing coz the criminals grew even more aggressive after his death? It feels as if everything that he had fought for as Batman did not have any impact on improving the quality of life in Gotham. Even sadder was that it was just one city, not even a country or a larger area of any kind.
That's Batman's largest plot hole though, in any medium. With his resources he could've made Gotham a safe decent city, but somehow he never does.

batman is crazier than Joker. because he knows he won't enjoy a quiet life so he just puts them in a container. if it spills then he can do his detective/hero job again. puts the villain again in the container and then rinse and repeat.
coz he's not immortal there's the time he will die and he prepares and creating a new league of bats when that time comes.

YES!!! Somebody else took time to learn this game and had fun!!!! It doesn't have to be Arkham to be decent. It's a good start to what could be a good series of they continue to build. Thanks for the cool gameplay.

I have tried all the characters and I can say Batgirl is by far my favorite. Her moves and the gliding is just so much better. I have a hard time switching back to other characters.

God, I really had so much hope for this game. I had JUST finished Arkham Knight when this game was announced and I was super hyped.
Nothing can quite top the experience Arkham Knight gave me. That game was something else.
Except the shitty story, unfortunately Rocksteady rushed the shit out of it. Origins and Asylum had the best stories. Knight was alright but it could have been better, it did have the best combat system and DLC though. Batgirl DLC was total perfection.

@@garf7298 Don’t feel guilty bro, there’s nothing wrong with having your own opinion no matter what everyone else says, you ain’t the only one cuz Origins is my fav and many other people’s fav for many reasons, the cutscenes and boss fights are definitely the main reasons, the Mr. Freeze DLC is second to Knights Batgirl DLC as the greatest Arkham DLC of all time, also if Arkham Origins was made by Rocksteady I almost guarantee ppl would praise it just as much as the other ones. Lmao

As a 30 yr DC fan and a casual gamer for the past 20 years, I'm glad I bought this when it went on sale for $28. Best money I've ever spent on a game. I enjoy it far more than God of War and I spent waaay more money on GoW. I'm addicted to patrolling Gotham. And the story, while not a new one, is fun and engaging. The detective work and puzzles are simple but fun. Great game overall if you just take it as what it is. I've found that each hero is better suited for certain missions even though you can plow through any of the missions with any of the heroes. You get out what you put into this game.

Thumb way up for the Batgirl footage. Also, I think if this game had more variety in the missions it would be better but it's not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be.
For the people who played Arkham series countless times and mastered the fluidity of the combat, AK feels super clunky and raw. The reviews reflect that.

In the comics, I remember once all three Robins (Tim, Jason and Dick) were telling Damian how none of them could even try to fight Batgirl for real, since despite not having been directly trained by Batman, she was stronger than all of them.
Them Gordon genes are stronk. Wish only they didn't do what they did with Bats and barbs. They ruined their relationship. Also I'm unable to take Barbs seriously anymore.

What i love is that its just deep enough that i can come back after a while away and kick A$$ but not to where it's too easy. It's challenging on higher levels and I'd argue maybe more satisfying than arkham combat.
Unfortunately I don’t have the patience to get extremely good at this game as it pains me to play it with its spongey enemies and the bs the enemies throw at you every second but it’s good to see this game played at a high level and look pretty good.
Enemies get deleted when you work on your gear and have and have an understanding of your abilities. I do agree it can get overwhelming but just like arkham and spiderman sometimes it helps to thin the numbers quietly. I hope you can pick up the game one day and enjoy it

Enemies get easy to deal with when you level up and get good gear and get good dodging. Gotham Knights isn't as casual friendly as the Arkham series.
Massive skill issue on your part. This game is as easy as Arkham knight. Just press square and circle (Arkham equivalent would be triangle).
Enemies aren't that spongey on normal difficulty.
After the first knockout, I don't think she go in front of the ambulance. The headlights would show her shadow.

Thanks for showing us how it’s done with Arkham Knights. I got super frustrated with this game especially Mr Freeze the 2nd time in his spider vehicle. Also tried all the knights but was disconcerted to see that resource levels won after fights were below the level I needed to level up my gear. I got so frustrated that
I deleted this game…but seeing you do so well with batgirl made me think if I focused on batgirl only & leave the other knights untouched then maybe it might work!

I found batgirl being the best character to play with as well. Very easy to get around and had the best moves.
This game was actually not that bad considering it didn’t get a lot of love it feels like. Story was good, atleast the way I played most stuff wasn’t repetitive. Get the fast travel done immediately then You can complete the whole game in 20 nights roughly. So not that bad.

If Batman has taken you under his wing, then you don't need billions of money to become Batman, because Batman will bring out the best version of you. Since Batman has trained for years to hone his skills and discover what's capable of a human mind and body, there is a high chance that he has tailored the program for his apprentice. And Batgirl is a prime example of anyone who has the physical and mental ability to become great and take on foes Gotham has to offer.
People went straight to bash the game but it looks decent and fun when you know what you are doing.
I came in here with the intentions to throw shade and I just can’t 😮 that was some pretty impressive gameplay brother! 👍🏼

@@Devdavis32 Cassandra Cain, she was Batgirl for many years in the comics. Created in 1999. She was the daughter of David Cain and Lady Shiva. She was trained to be the world's greatest assassin. She was mute and had been deprived of most human contact and any compassion (basically she was Damian before he existed). She was incredibly violent, but Batman trained her and taught her a new path. She is still a member of the Batman family but usually goes by the title Orphan now. She had a pretty iconic and classic run as Batgirl in the comics, though obviously she is not as well known as Barbara. Besides her own title she appeared heavily in the No Man's Land run and the One Year Later run in the 2000s. More recently she appeared as a young girl and one of the main characters in the live-action Harley Quinn (the spinoff from Suicide Squad), though her character was heavily altered. She was still Asian and had the same name, but everything else about her was different. They made her some street criminal kid. She's still in the comics, too.
She's also sometimes a member of the Birds of Prey, like Barbara.

I hate how popular media has made Batwoman more known than Cassandra Cain...
No, Cass is the daughtet of the legendary assassins Lady Shiva and Cain (the former a noteable Batman villain, the latter someone Bruce trained under before his time as the bat). She's also Bruce's only adopted daughter.
She was trained as a living weapon by Cain, who even went so far as to not teach her how to speak. In turn, Cass is capable of reading people through their body language like a book. She notices even the slightest movement, expression or shift.
Her combat skill is therefore on a completely different level. In a fair one on one fight, pretty much no one can match her. In fact, Lady Shiva wanted this so that one day Cass would surpass and kill her.
However, when Cain sent his daughter on her first assassination, the fear and anguish she was able to see in her victim while she killed them terrified her.
She ran away from home as a result and sorta became an assistant to Barbara during the No Man's Land storyline.
Eventually, Bruce took her on as the New Batgirl. (She was in fact the first Batgirl to have her own solo series, not Barbara).
It's important to note that she eventually learns to speak, even if she still has trouble.
Cass is also the only character in the batfamily who shares Bruce's utter disdain for killing and believes in the mission as much as he does. Which if you think about makes her the perfect legacy-Batman if Bruce were not around.
Tl:dr Cassandra Cain is an utter badass, a compelling character and in my personal opinion the best Batgirl... who definitely deserves more attention.

those shiny stuffs dropped from dead enemy kills the immersion of the game.
The AI is wrong, at the exact moment of the stealth attack, the bots stand upright and immobile.
She is definitely the best of the 4. I actually enjoy using Nightwing as well, but... Eh. Enjoy is relative.

Batgirl isn’t just a great starting character,but to be honest she’s the best character all around if you’re looking for an easy play through if it’s your first time on Gotham knights

This game has way more replay value to me than the Arkham games, I enjoyed them but could only play them once. Gotham Knights portrays Gotham in a pretty cool way, from the heights to the Burroughs. I enjoyed traversing the city, and randomly taking down gangs. It had some aesthetic choices I didn't like, for instances the game is too frame based. I can't get acute control over my movement, there's always an extra step I don't mean to take. The grappling hook indicator is stupid, you're locked in frames so you can't always avoid damage. Also the level Cap is too low, but I'm still playing today cause it's addictive ✊🏾👑

They should have made a young justice game instead with the same controls and play style. Keep Batgirl, Robin, and Nightwing, and add kid flash, superboy, supergirl, aqua lad, miss martian, Zatana, and Speedy. Or add new heroes as dlcs
What i hate about this game and its predecessors Arkham series except the first one is the movement. It should be slower and more deliberate since these heroes are normal human and they don't have superpowers. There's no tension involved since they are jumping and swinging around like Marvel Spiderman.
