To uncoil a plastic pipe. First tie one end to the ground, then Roll the whole coil, unwinding as you go to avoid kinks. I hope the river does not flood.

an Archimedes screw would have been easier to install, require less maintenance and moved many times more water, if anyone is putting a water wheel in for power, make sure its an over-the-top wheel not an under-wheel type as you will get 3 times the output from the fall of the water,
