Thales-Vomz was a branch of Thales in Russia who was supplying the Russian before 2014 but was taken over by the Russian government after 2014. France didn't authorized the production of this device and didn't earn anything from them. the responsibility fully fall on Russian to have stolen the technology, produced it without license and used it against civilian.

These sights were sold by France and assembled in Russia. Thales signed an agreement in 2017 to provide Russia with Thales FC components to modernize their tanks namely T90 and BMD 4. Components would be shipped to Russia and assembled there.

French armaments manufacturers and the french government will be held accountable for this treacherous circumvention of EU sanctions, threatening the european security for a cheap russian buck.

Thanks for the detailed video. I'm French myself and didn't know our technologies were being used to slaughter Ukrainians, fellow europeans. I know that Ruzzian soldiers wouldn't hesitate doing the same with a French family in a Renault, the car at the beginning wasn't a coincidence.
Very few French citizens know about the military industry of their country. They still think France's economy is cheese and wine. And obviously someone at Thales has received a nice lump of cash.
