Hi! Sorry I didn’t see your message - yes, it could definitely work… but the bigger the mold, the harder it will be to maintain the shape when you get the clay out. You might need something to put the whole thing over, then lift the silicone off, then flip the bowl over and take out your filler prop… does that make any sense?
To be honest… Not really… they are kind of sloppy and just a tool in my process 😅 I guess I can make one as a commission if someone really needs something specific, I don’t see why not! 🤷🏻♀️☺️
Aww, my pleasure!! I have to tell you, after buying molds for the first few years, I have found that it is SO much cheaper and liberating to be able to make your own. Sure, it takes a little practice and maybe a tutorial or two… but then you can make EXACTLY what you need, for under $2. You just can’t bet that! If you need me to make a tutorial on anything else, please let me know! I’m always happy to help!
@@taniagoldbergpottery9953 Thank you so much Tania! You are the gift! I will make some silicone molds and making birds with long tails with some flowers. You are very inspiring!
Very clever, wonderful teacher.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tip, been using air dryer clay but had such a hard time getting it out of the mold. So now I know I need a releasing agent!
Thank you very much !!!!❤
Hi Tania! Would this technique apply to a silicone mold that is (for example) a bowl?

What clay do you use.
Currently, KY Mudworks Kota porcelain and Iceman stoneware
