    One of my eight cameras went black on my tv screen. I thought I was going to have to replace that camera with a new one. But I unplugged the system at the DVR and plugged it right back in (no waiting) and that did the trick. Thanks for your help.

      Sorry not enough information to give specifics but try removing all cameras from the system but one and see if the problem persists. If it goes away with one camera try adding a second camera. If the problem occurs when you add the second camera its likely the camera just added or a power problem. We suspect its either a faulty camera or the power supply powering the cameras may have a problem. Sorry we could not be more specific. Thanks

      Just take your computer monitor and use a HDMI cable to connect it to the recorder. If you get video its the TV or the cable. No video then the video out put on the recorder. You probably have but check the HDMI source button on the TVs remote . Good luck.

    I can’t get mine out of power saving mode how do you do it. If you don’t mind replying.

    • @BackstreetCameras
      @BackstreetCameras  Рік тому

      So it's a battery powered camera? Our cameras do not have power save mode so its likely battery powered such as a blink or arlo camera we are guessing. Sorry we don't have any guidance here. O a issue with professional grade equipment.

    I have a jooan camera system and the video has shown up for all four cameras but now two have shut off completely and have stayed off despite factory resets.

      Defective equipment likely, do you have access to tech support from the supplier? I would call them. The brand is not a main stream brand so support is going to be scarce. Hope this helps.

    One of my 4 cameras not showing picture in its channel on the app. Other three channels to camera & camera to respective channels are working. We’ve swapped and tested cameras and found all 4 cameras are working.

    I get no screen at all everything reads the dvr but no success I think it’s the Hard drive I have to replace

    • @BackstreetCameras
      @BackstreetCameras  3 роки тому

      Even if the hard drive is dead most systems will display live video if the NVR is operating correctly. The systems do not require the hard drive for operation (only recording) so it possible the recorder is the cause. Hope this helps.

    I was hacked yrs ago. I was using a lcd moniter with No intergated cam. ( Early 90's) they sent me a pic of me looking at my screen from the screens point of View ! I think it was a PowerPoint option. ? Or some sort of hack ? Can you elaborate? Or have you any knowledge of ?

    • @BackstreetCameras
      @BackstreetCameras  Рік тому +1

      Most hacks are not hacks. Usually the user did not change a factory default password which allowed the "hacker" to do a search on the web for the factory default password and then just logged in and started messing with you. The IP address they were scanning gave them the brand name of the equipment. No amazing hacking going on. ALWAYS CHANGE THE FACTORY PASSWORD ON ALL EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE. If you do, I doubt you'll get hacked ever again. Thanks for the question.

    I have been trying to find out what is wrong with mine for over a month now and via tech support I attempted a factory reset, but there was no beep or anything at all. I have the DVR hardwired in to my internet connection and when I open my router screen on my desktop it doesn't show that it is connected to it. Also when I connect the DVR to the monitor or TV via VGA cable or HDMI cable it doesn't recognize that it is there and does not pull up any DVR screen at all. There is power to the DVR and all the cameras show that there is power going to them. I have been working with your tech by phone and we haven't been able to figure out what is wrong. Has anyone else had this happen and if so what did you do to fix it?

      If the DVR is under warranty we need to replace it. It sounds dead to me.
