This was good. Do we follow instructions? And then make excuses to cover how we missed the mark? We do, but our hearts need to obey too. My goodness this chapter is a reality check. So glad you did this study. So helpful to me as a I've never studied the Bible as an adult where I can truly appreciate the lessons and they really hit home.
"What had happened was...." Ha. Right! The modern equivalent of Saul's words.... So true that it's been true of us humans since the garden. I love THIS--> "...life is so much sweeter....when God is OURS and not YOURS!" YES. To KNOW Him for yourself. The fact that He WANTS to be known! That will never cease to amaze me!
Lord help me to walk in your will and way. I want to hear you say "Well done my good and faithful servant". I so enjoyed this chapter. Loving and Clinging to The Lord is to walk in his way. God bless Kim XOXO
Thank you Mrs. Tate. I am thankful to the Lord for your faithfulness in your teaching ministry. This ministry has blessed me tremendously. I look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to use you as a Titus 2:4 woman. Your excitement for God's word is contagious!
Kim I attended a Joyce Meyer Conference this weekend and she talked about part of this chapter! Her message was about being a people pleaser instead of pleasing God. That we ought to obey to please God even if we lose a few friends or even family. Because in the end we have to give an account for our lives on earth. She pointed out Samuel 15:24. Saul was concerned about pleasing the people and he gave in to them in turn losing his blessing.
My heart is on fire. I am all caught up now and so excited to "CLING ON" !!!!! Thank you for your Study. My passion for Jesus Christ is renewed. (I am 60, saved 24 yrs ago) God's anointing on you has brought the bible ALIVE to me again! Hallelujah !
You caught up?! That was fast!.....see, I told you that your love and passion for God's Word was obvious. :)) We've been saved about the same amount of time (23 yrs for me) so it's a joy to walk with you, sister! Hallelujah indeed!
kimcashtate. I am totally saturating myself continuously & taking in God's Word and I am so getting into 1 Samuel with you !! Being blessed to be temporarily retired, I am able to study with you every day. Full Time and a half Hallelujah !!!! Holy Spirit fill me. Before, I met you, my walk with the Lord was good ! But, with your love for God united with mine, I am totally starving for more, more, more !!! (I am a loner, so your presence for me is manifestation of Holy Spirit . I so appreciate you. You are confirming so much Truth to me. thank you again friend.
what a blessed bible study once again sis Kim, and you narrated it so beautifully, and it is always better to obey than to sacrifice . praise God! God bless you sis Kim
I listened to this last week and rushed off and didn't get a chance to tell you thank you! Thank you for your gifts! Thank you for taking time out of your week to give us this study. I literally wait for it every Sunday. And Kim that is comedy at minute 5:28 when you say "Well alright Saul has done what the Lord...uh wait..." Ha! But seriously, this text rocks me because Saul was given a rare opportunity to fulfill a prophecy God made hundreds of years ago in Exodus. That is epic!! That is chosen! But he threw it away all because of flesh and fear of man! A once in a lifetime opportunity wasted. God please don't let me be enamored with this world that I miss the rare opportunities you have for me! Please give me discernment to recognize the importance of your call! I never want God to regret that He trusted me. I'm going to listen again before chapter 16. This is intense!! Thank you Kim! God bless! :)
There was a lot in this chapter. Saul's blame shifting and lack of ownership of his sin contribution and God were big but imagining Samuel, who wasn't a "spring chicken" by this time, hewing the king to pieces.....that had to be something to behold.
Well preach, we are like that we partially obey the Lord and human nature tries to justify it. We do need to search our hearts and ask continuously God for guidance and thank Him for His mercy and grace that He forgives us👐 Be bless sister Kim👐⚘👍
I love watching all your videos! You're truly a great teacher. Thank you for being such a great blessing. Question do you ever read from the KJ version ? :-)

Oh my. This was good. Obedience is better that sacrifice. What a sad thing to hear that the Lord has rejected you. My Lord.
I know, sis. Beyond sobering. One of those chapters that draws a long sigh and much introspection.....and a reminder that God is God.
