  • 🦊 In this GCSE Biology video, we explain adult cell cloning, a technique where the nucleus of an unfertilized egg cell is replaced with the nucleus from an adult body cell. This process, famously exemplified by Dolly the sheep in 1996, results in the creation of an embryo containing genetic information identical to the donor body cell. After stimulating the egg cell to divide and form an embryo, it is implanted into the womb of a surrogate mother, ultimately resulting in the birth of a clone with identical genetic makeup to the donor animal.
