The first one who described WordPress as an easy website builder. you just made my day happy with the visual theme generators, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you a lot.
As a guy who know HTML, CSS, JS really good.. I feel suffocated while using these apps.. I've tried all of these but coding a project first hand gives me another level of satisfaction TBH..
Wordpress, Wix and Webflow are my favorites. Go with Wordpress for blogging, Wix for all branches imaginable, solid e-commerce options and incredible responsive customisation and Webflow for full design control of flat pages (needs improvement for e-commerce - few options and only supports physical products).
This is one of the best informative videos i've seen regarding any topic. To the point and very useful for anybody looking for the 411 on web design. Great job at covering so much and offering your oppinion to people like me who were relatively cluesless about web design and the tools and apps availible. Thank You Very Much!
Hi Alexander!! Thank you sooo much for your nice words. This was really my intention in this tutorial, I wanted to cover the most popular platforms and help beginners understand them so they can chose the platform that suits them best. I'm so happy this video helped you!
Thanks for this wonderful video! I’ve used Dreamweaver for several years (more coding than using the designer), and now I’m using Bootstrap Studio to save time in Web design and then I export the HTML and CSS and add php plus some finishing touches on Sublime Text. I’ve had my doubts on trying Wordpress, but now I’ll consider in checking it out as soon as possible. Greetings from Venezuela!!
former Muse enthusiast user here. thank you for this well researched video - saved me so much time! Much appreciated. Think I'll be using Adobe XD in the future with an html plug in...
Thank you sooo much for comparing and explaining the different website builders out there. For a complete beginner this video really helps me to know where to start first and where to progress to.
Thank you very much Steve! That is exactly my intention in the video, creating a guide for beginners, to understand what you will find in the different platforms and help you choose the right one for you.
Thank you for reviewing all of these content management systems, very helpful video. I use Squarespace and you're right, seems very user friendly but gets complicated. You can add html though so if you use Dreamweaver or other text based coding you should be able to input. Tried Wix, didn't like it, Spark as well, had no use for it. My colleagues all use Wordpress and it looks awesome! I am happy with squarespace though!
Hi Josue! Thank you very much for sharing your experience. It's great that you have tried several platforms before choosing the one the best suits you. For me Wix is too limited and Spark isn't an option as a website builder, though both can be useful for beginners.
Say I need a solution for just a quick but sleek and minimalistic website which platform should I consider, I don't wan to code, also I may want it to be responsive such as scrolling images etc
Appreciate the intro to these design products. You saved me a ton of time choosing the right tool for my project! I'm editing an existing site built in Muse but I do not have the original Muse project file. While actual site mostly easily readable HTML and CSS, there are lots of confusing Muse elements. I look forward to eventually completely rebuilding this site with either WordPress or Bootstrap. Thanks!
Hi Eli! I'm glad this video helped. Good luck with your Muse site 😉

the only cons of webflow is if you want to bring full potential, then things will get really have to stick with the webflow services (which some clients really dont like and want to full controll of their website). If webflow is free to host anywhere with cms, e commerce (as purchased plugin maybe), then it will be a absolute winner above everythings else. So for now, wordpress is still the best, even for newbies with some builder plugin like Elementor.
I’m late to the party, but this video was so helpful! Thanks for the synopsis. The web dev tool ecosystem is so dense, it’s pretty overwhelming for us newbies.
my experience with Wix was crap. the thing about going back and forth between Adi and Editor confused the fuck out of me. And a lot of obvious customising tools which you would need are not readily there. i am thinking of learning code from scratch and building a website with XD and Dreamweaver. So i would prototype in XD then build it in dreamweaver. I need to make a simple artist portfolio website, how long would it take a beginner to do this?
If you're just starting out, I'd advice against learning Adobe Muse. Adobe is abandoning Muse, so all your efforts you put into learning it would be a waste.
Very nice review. I'd been stuck with bootstrap studio and always thought that wordpress is a lame tool, but I think I'll try it out now. Thanks a bunch!!
Good content! I have one little advice. You may know that audio quality matters a lot. I assume that you used noise removal in your audio editing process and you cranked up ts parameters. However, try using a good quality microphone "avoid USB ones" get urself an audio interface and an XLR mic it'll give you cleaner results! Thanks!
Thank you .... i'm from Brazil ... eu iria usar o dreamweaver cc mas não achei nenhum conteudo explicando como colocar o site no ar , e por essas questões achei o WordPress muito melhor em todos os sentidos. além de gratuito o URL é muito intuitivo e profissional.
wow, clear things up a lot :) thanks for this :) btw, maybe you can improve on your audio. you are using a professional mic but it sounds like u are using a laptop / smartphone's mic. maybe the auto noise cancelling was turned on. or the recording software you are using. and also balance your voice audio and music audio. the music u use is quite loud compared to your voice. just a feedback for you improve upon. :)
Hi Chico! Yeah, I do need to get new gear for my videos. I don't have much idea about audio but I sure have to watch tutorials and learn how to improve it. Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate it 😀
Hi Anais! I think some downsides might be the tools, modules to build your portfolio... they might be limited. But if you find them enough for you, I would try the free version first, test it and if it's convincing enough, go for it!
Not exactly, both WordPress and Webflow provide a CMS where you can manage contents and data. If you want to use an existing database to create a complex web app/tool you can find a lot of plugins in WordPress that will save you a lot of coding time.
@@Dr.Blockchain Exactly, that's the point. You would need to hire a programmer in the others. In WordPress, you can find something like Facebook with a quick search: wordpress.org/plugins/peepso-core/
About Webflow: I know you mentioned that it is not possible to move your design to another server, however webflow has an option to export your design without CMS and ecommerce features export tinto a package of HTML, CSS, JS. Have you tried that option? I am currently testing it to see if I can actually provide the front end that a dev team can later use to do the back-end connections on another server. Thoughts?
Hi Eduardo! Since Webflow is based on standard code, it should work fine for you. Their biggest limitations are based on their custom CMS/hosting, but you don't need that part so I would go for it. You could also probably try Dreamweaver or any other CSS-HTML-JS visual editor. Let me know how the project develops! 😉
Thanks for replying! I have used Dreamweaver many years ago but I just used as a text editor. Never really understood well how it could be for designers. But webflow is another thing. Keep posting videos like this!
I don't like Wordpress, it's slow, bloated, jack of all trades and master of none, and worst of all, because it's open source hackers can examine the code to find exploits. And using it a pro level for customers is showing people a cowboy and not professional, this is conning clients.

Man it sucks with Adobe. Nothing comes close with their products but I dont want to be tied with a way too expensive product that can be canceled anytime like they did with Muse.

Anyone who still use old muse they have? does it have any incompability issues with browsers because of no updates?
What would you use for e-commerce?
The best option today is WooCommerce (WordPress), due to its ease of use, updates and low cost (the platform is free)
