Watching this as someone who hasn’t played it I think it’s about the lady finding the “pup” and helping it grow while taking down these “chaos” creatures to help heal the land and from the looks of it at the end the now “wolf” and her child I think fighting off the queen of the bads and it sadly killing the mother so it would be kind of like the cycle?
It's not a cycle! Neva at the ending is actually the Neva at the beginning! Neva is always white, not gray like her baby even when she was still small! So, the beginning is the ending without any clear reason how Neva died, and the ending is the beginning that told us more about how Neva was gone before leaving her baby behind for Alba (the girl)!
I think the saddest part about this is the fact the black goo (I haven’t played nor do I know the lore) corrupts animals not even allowing them a sanctimonious death
It more reminded me of "Gris" where a girl is dealing with the five stages of grief, the style of this game is strikingly similar! Edit: OH WAIT NVM- I just checked and realized that Nomada studio created this game AHHHH I thought they were dead for a while BUT THEY'RE BACK!!!
It honestly kind of feels like someone crossed Ori with Never Alone. I actually thought this had something to do with Never Alone when I saw the first few minutes of the video, the white wolf reminded me of the fox from that game.
He / She already has a name but I don't want to spoil it for the viewers, once you reach the final stage of the game and then use "the call" button, the main character will call his / her name :)
I don't think this is a copy of planet of Lana, though I'm also going to cover that game on my channel in near future. Neva has its own art design and emotional story similar as their first game "GRIS" from 2018.

By far the one i like the most is the elk couple, they are just so graceful
The corrupted beings feel like a weird cross between No-Face from Spirited Away and the Tragedians from Pathologic
I know right? I was like "hi there no face, what did you eat THIS TIME???"
They feel like an enemy that could've been in Kena: Bridge of Spirits, to me at least, especially with like the white mask on their faces?
Nomada Studio absolutely cooked with this game. It’s insane how much was put into it
