The song SLAPS again. That #7 was really cool, writing something like this just for a test is crazy. Absolutely unrelated question - do you have any released music somewhere? 👀
Thanks so much. I just love writing the music for this, it's a lot of fun. I don't have any music like this released anywhere, but I did set a goal to release some this year that I'm likely not going to hit because it's already October! WTH!?
The e40 sounded great on all the sources you had it on. I used one for a metal bass tone on a recording I did for a local band and it sounded good there too.
I have a pair of the E100SX and I also love mine. I use one as a room mic for my drums just a little bit out front, and blend it with my Rode NT5 overheads because it has a darker, mellower sound that tames some of the harsh upper frequencies of cymbals. I haven't used them on much else yet, but they make excellent drum overhead and room mics if you want something a little mellower than an SDC.
The low end from this mic sounds more pronounced compared to all the other mics. It has more of a broadcast sound. The LCT 240 also has a noticeable sibilance or ringing on the 'S' sounds, especially when listening with an ATH-M20x.
From all your videos, I realized that your favorite voice microphone is a Rode NT1. What about the preamp? or a channelstrip.. What is your favorite preamp in the studio?
i'm not super versed in microphones and audio so correct me if i'm wrong but i feel like decent quality XLR connector mics like this are getting a lot cheaper, i don't remember being able to get something like this for that price like 5 or so years ago.
Thats one of the better sounding cheap mics I've heard in a while. I mean, the plosive rejection was total trash. OMG is that a full body suit?! I gotta go... Music was top notch as always. BTW the ending was awesome, dont be hatin on that #7.
Hi Sir, i am from India, always watching your videos. Can i give your suggestion, I have at2020 and lct 240 pro using for Voiceovers and vocals. Satisfied. Is it Good to upgrade to lct 440 pure or at2035.
@@SKumar-bj2ud if you’re satisfied and you’re not getting complaints from customers, no. Only upgrade with the he intent of solving an issue. Do not upgrade for the sake of upgrading. Unless you just have money to throw around and you enjoy it.
Interested in how this would compare to a $30 wired earbud w/ mic for spoken word? That is, is it better than something I already have and has other uses?
I kinda like the way your voice on the talking head stuff sounds. I would say very "present" Plosives? Not so good. Hey for $30, a little bit of foam and POW!. Nice. As usual, came for the review, stayed for the song.
this is a very good sounding mic for 50 bucks. i have my other $30 dollar cad model which is also a decent basic starter mic. mine even shows up as Pyre in the audio devices, and i was wondering if CAD use odm mics and slap their logo on for their cheapest models 🤔 Anyway, a great starter deal for the price!
It's selling for just shy of 130 squids, aka £130, from Amazon here on Plague Island, aka the UK. (Oct 2024) Sounds like a very useable mic and a bargain for 30 over the pond notes.
Pretty solid for the money. In my experience, the CAD stuff is pretty hit or miss. I got a pair of their CM217 sdc's for insanely cheap and they are every bit as bad as I expected them to be. They overload and distort if you look at them funny. Not suitable for many applications you'd use a SDC for.

Looks so disappointed in me

I also snagged one for 29.99 - capsule swap coming
@@ObscureMics stoked to see what you do with it and how it impacts the sound.
@@Podcastage Bark will be installing the speaker from his childhood walkie-talkie to give it that vintage sound. 🤣
Great Music Test! Great last tone! A true musician! Impressed!
Great video as always Bandrew. Are you planning to review the HyperX Quadcast 2?
0:52 That mic looks like a guy with a really tall pompadour who didn't get enough sleep last night.

Thank you for this! I've been hoping you would check out this new series. I'm loving the E100SX

You bagged a deal and one half over there - in the UK here it’s £129.95 - around 150 of your dollars!

or maybe I was just distracted by Michael lol
Loved the music test! Make a full song!

Another $100 microphone that sounds better than the SM7B.☺ Can you do the Zoom H2essential?

Nice Halloween jacket))))
It sounds better than it has any right to at that price.
That LCT 240. Dang!
Not a bad sounding mic.

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem to be the same as the Vintage CAD which BoothJunkie espoused so many times...
You really don't need the high pass filter, your voice sounds good with the bass, sounds a bit shrill and unnatural with the high pass filter
lovin the outfit sir
At $100, CAD should rename it the "Early 2000's Meme Face Mic" and lean into it the look. Or.. sell a shock mount that adds robot ears.
The front looks like a face and now I think it needs to become an emoji.

Hellooooooo Neumann 😂😂😂
I'm here to write a comment. And to get a good video. Good video I get. Comment wrote. Thanks. 😊
Off axis rejection is surprisingly good though
icky.
