Great review! Completely agree with the points made about the possible changes in a future v.3. I would also suggest a minimalistic volume knob / slider on the side.
Great video as always. Thanks for doing both the thocky and the clacky builds. I bout the Luckey65 V1 in black and I really love it. I´m so impressed that they gave it the ball catch system this time around. Looks like it´s time to add a keeb to the collection!!
Great review! I'm impressed with how much they have improved the board while keeping the price really low, this definitely has got to be the definitive budget 65%
I actually bought the Lucky65 just recently because the v2 didnt have the powder blue colorway. Love it at stock. After watching the video, I don't feel like I'm missing out too much by not getting the v2
Yeah if you already own the V1 upgrading doesn't seem all that necessary if you're already happy with your build It's really just a matter of whether or not you want the quality of life upgrades to the build experience and QMK/VIA compatibility
@@dom35p32 Once I figured out the function shortcuts to switch between 2.4ghz dongle mode, bluetooth devices and wired mode it wasn't that big of a deal to me tbh While a physical switch would be a bit more convenient to actually turn it off, I don't really mind just having to switch modes with function shortcuts since the board does go to sleep after a little bit of idle time
Great video, my one big complaint is wish they would put the power switch on the outside. Would love to get it to replace my Yunzii AL65 as my travel keyboard, just need the power switch without pulling keycaps
Don't think I'll stop using HMX switches in my upcoming videos Unikeyboards has been absolutely spoiling me and other creators with the wide selection of new HMX switches releasing every other month They've all been bangers and I haven't ran into an HMX switch I don't like just yet 😅
I have this and absolutely love it, The only thing I want is a knob but all the ones I've seen with knobs don't center them with the layout, so I'd like a knob that is centered with the column and row... One can only pray
It actually has a 1.6mm PCB no flexcuts variant, but from what I know so far, it is exclusive to the Vietnamese market. I just got one a few days ago, sounds better than I expected with foamless build.
@@atomosph3re dang that’s wild, was really hoping Velocifire / Weikav sold that 1.6mm PCB variant on their store Would’ve made it an even way better value 🥲
@@makmakg242 I bought them from Shopee, which is kinda similar to Amazon in the US market. You can also order them from small retailers in the Vietnamese MK groups, which I'm not really sure about the shipping fee, but the board itself cost around 36 - 46 USD brand new. I got mine for 36.
Mate, any idea how to configure the number keys to be on layer 0? I've been trying for a couple of hours, but i can't get it to work on mine, it keeps the Fkeys as the main layer, i'd prefer them binded to FN+numerals like it was on the old V1
I feel a bit bad, I should have waited. I bought the V1 then literally 2 days later i saw them selling the V2 on shopee. RIP. But I mean I don't think I can really complain since its still a great board and I got it in navy which they didn't make for the V2.
I honestly love it when you drop videos bro I look forward to it everytime
Much appreciated! Thank you for the support~

This is the first time I've seen you review something that I already own. Got it off Aliexpress for $60 and I love it.
The problem with magnetic connectors is that it limits customizations since youd have to make sure the padding fits
when the v1 released, i bought the black one, but i regretted choosing for such a basic color, and this time i copped the red one, awesome review btw
i was thinking of getting the red and then put some pyga keycaps
Finally! You've fulfiled my request. THANK YOU!

@Merkeebs how do you feel about the bt switch being under the Tab key? Personally, I wish it was outside or even beneath the board

Merkeebs please keep up the HMX switches in your builds I love hearing the different clacky signatures HMX has to offer

I honestly stopped looking for a knob and moved on to remapping the - and + for my volume

Which online store from Vietnam perhaps?

Great review! Which one would you get between this one and the Yunzii AL68 and why?
Why cant my lucky65v2 connect using the dongle? Can you give me any suggestions please thankss
it may be your lighting and camera but the purple doesn’t look as good as in the website
Does anyone have bad QC set personally? Mine have intermittent key regs across the whole board...

If you go into VIA, you'll see that FN+rCTRL toggles between F1 and 1. Its called 'convert F1&1'.
@dl2agon thank you so much mate!
Seems like we got a good value keeb here
That sound tho!
Say no more, already ordered 2

I think you can return and refund within 3 days. I did refund on Shopee and it's all good
Just buy after seeing this video
i got this keyboard 2 weeks ago, and is it safe to remove the pe foam for long term?
Yep totally fine
I would even run it foamless personally if it just didn't have those flex cuts lol
What's the point of v2 if they didn't add a pcb mount stabs ? Also i always prefer screws over ball-catch, it just feels more secure with them.
