I almost paid no attention to the car. I just couldn't stop staring at her smile and listening to her beautiful accent.

The Captur is £ 2K less than a Juke, £ 7k cheaper than a Vauxhall Mokka! This comparison is totally misleading if you do not specify the price difference. In almost all the tests, you find a way to say that Ford / Vauxhall / Nissan are better. But when I watch foreign tests, as Autoweek in the Netherlands, they do not have this mania for Ford/Opel /Nissan.

Greater visibility and slightly greater size means less vulnerable....there are a lot of issues with small city cars etc where space might not quite be enough but people do not want a family sized car and the crossover/compact SUV fills that gap. Seriously, as long as they can still return 60+ MPG there should be no issues.
Shame you didn't show us properly how flat the back seats fold down.
If all you want is the ability to drive though some slightly deeper snow, you don´t need a crossover. You can just have 4WD fitted to any car whatsoever. Renault could fit 4WD to the Clio for that matter, and it would do just as fine in show as the Capture. Are you using winter tires? Winter tires are a lot more important than 4WD when driving in snowy conditions.

Looks like you can improve the quality of the camera or perhaps lens a bit. When watch in full 1080p mode, it's quite blur and gives people headache.

Few negatives for a Renault. Great news!
As much as I love Rebecca, the Captur isn't touted as a SUV, it's a compact crossover which is a different category of car. And yes, it will be more expensive then the Clio because it's a bigger car. But hey, I don't give a shit. Didn't stop me from ordering one.... Roll on 30th September 2014 when mine gets delivered.
No comments on how the car is to drive at all, just bloody cubby storage spaces ... more reviews from Mat!

Sorry buddy but your logic is incorrect. LEAGUE and TYPE are not the same thing. They are the same type since theyre both front engine, 4 doors, 5 people carriers and a trunk in the back. They are from different leagues from the obvious differences in size, built quality, materials, performance, gadgets etc.
I’ve noticed in all these carbuyer reviews everyone always seems to have that half extra added to their height lol
I thought all car manufacturers had that. Our 2005 Volvo S60 has that and I'm pretty sure our 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee does too.
Down through the years I have owned many cars from BMW Mercedes Honda to Hyundai and Ford. I really was not that interested in Renault. Until I bought my Megane. By far the best car I have had in terms of what you get for your money. Keyless entery press button start automatic lights/wipers and low running cost as standard. And a 5 star ncar rating. Just the thing when you have kids. BTW out of all the cars I had the Renault is the only one I am lucky enough not to ever have any trouble from. I will be buying a Captur this coming Christmas so to get a better deal.
May i ask what year ur megane is and the captur is a good car my dad has the 90 bhp diesel and its a good solid car so i recommend

Why do I see people asking for reviews of Cadillacs and even Protons? Carbuyer only reviews cars sold in the UK. Also, before asking for what gas to review, check if they have been reviewed already. I saw someone asking for reviews of the X3,X5,X6 and Z4, all of which have been reviewed already.

If we had price of petrol here in EU just like you in US.. it will be great.. :) here is 50% expencier than in America.. :P and in US French car's arent popular.. but they are quality and very comfortable.. especially bigger models like C5..

Car is alright too.
they mean it's not that fun to drive, for example the steering feels like it's not connected to the wheels (numb/vague) and it maybe rolls a bit and just doesn't handle that well.
You can tell it shares platform with nissan dualis
Lets be honest. Crossowers are no more than fancy styled Mpv's, and in reality the Capture replace the Modus and Grand Modus. Nobody is ever going to do any kind of offroading in these cars, so 4 wheel drive would just be a complete waste of money and fuel. I think Renault deserve credit for being honest enough to realize that. And its high time the car buying public does as well.

She missed the little compartment on the dash for storage, went to c this car and it is gorgeous, and of course it's more expensive than the clip cause its bigger but for a big car great price at 12-13 thousand

Why do I like this so much?
As I drive an AWD crossover I'll tell you...in winter on snow and ice you know why they made them AWD or 4WD. For sure for 90% of the time 2WD is fine BUT with winters the way they are in the UK over the lat 10 years or so 2WD on a large vehicle is not all that smart.

Did not like the blue color and the wheels, but overall it is a quite well sorted design for this class - It´s not an ugly car IMO. To bad it´s a boring drive and they should make a 4x4 version.

I have one of these and i can tell you it does not do 70 mpg. Your lucky if you get 54mpg.

biased end incorrect review... its way more fun to drive than the Mokka or Juke... both the others still comes - like the captur- with only 2 wheel drive.. 4x4 is an expensive upgrade and are honestly not worth it.. I'll have the Captur any day.. and yes.. i've driven them all.. going today to test the updated 1.2 EDC with upgraded navi and other nice stuff... and the EDC is a GREAT gearbox.. I've owned a VW with DSG and I prefer the EDC.. the testers I spoke with agree that the earlier pre-production EDC's they tested were not as good a the current production versions.. some say the box is jerky.. hmm.. I beg to differ.. try it!.. it's way better to try cars yourself than rely on reviews :-)

Take it from me as an owner, don’t buy one. The driving experience is such... every bump is rattle squeak rattle squeak rattle squeak.The seats rattle, the dash board rattles, the seatbelt clips rattle. The tracks that the rear seats slide on rattle and squeak. The glove box rattles, and so on. The general cheap quality of all the fittings inside means everything judders and moves with every bump. Also, the front bumper is made of such thin plastic that when a bird hit my car it smashed a hole in the front of it. By the way, the front wings are plastic to.

Why would you buy that thing ?
Why would you want 4WD in a car like this? It is build to suit the needs of people, who have children and therefore would logically buy a stationcar. But who live in cities, where easy parking is an important consideration. And who therefore want a car, which is shorter but taller than a traditional stationcar.
So maybe we should stop all this nonsence about calling these vehicles "SUV´s" or "crossovers" and just call them, what they really are. Which is tall hatchbacks. And as such this is a very good one because of its styling.
The true predecessor of this car is the Renault Modus. And if you look at the styling of that vehicle... well.... its really no competition, is it?
Crossovers are just fashion items. The Renault Modus and Grand Modus, which were build on the previous Clio platform, served just the same purpose as the Capture. But they did not sell well, because they did not look cool. The Capture on the other hand looks cool, and therefore people will buy it. And calling it as "crossover" is in realily just marketing nonsence. What is it a crossover between? There is no element of odd-road car in the Capture whatsoever. Its just a tall hatchback.

Michael Kennedy FWD the car is awsome but it has very small engines that a fault id like a 2.0 diesel i think is the best engine for this car
