Good afternoon blessing’s from America Maricar and Matt and family 🇺🇸 very educational video all the different kinds of fish 🐟 and meat. Thanks for always sharing the prices. Have a blessed and joyful morning in the Philippines 🇵🇭 🇺🇸
Our pleasure! God bless, Jeff. Stay cool
Hey guys. The meat and fish is way cheaper there. For me that piece of meat you bought would be $12 plus here in Colorado.
That I can tell that we are still lucky for the other food prices. Thank you, Brian for watching.
Wow I may not live in philippines for years but my family updates me and told me how the prices of fish is hiking up in big city but siquihor prices are surprisingly cheaper even the meat. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Carol.. We are glad that these video helps a lot.
Great market!
Looks like you and the merchants have a good time interacting.
Thank you for watching 😀
Hi Matt & Maricar, great vlog, good prices at the market.
God Bless you & your family.
From Chicago USA
Hello, thank you always for good words. 😍 God bless you and your family too! Have a beautiful day
Very educational video thanks for showing
No problem, Otto. Thank you for watching 😀
Thank you so much for showing me around the market it was very very interesting and I am a fish person as well because when I come to Philippines that is what I’m looking to go into fish business with my Mrs So I’m gonna be buying fish at the port and selling them to the market so it’s going to be very interesting when I come to Philippines but I really hope I get to meet your guys because hopefully this year September I am coming to Philippines put my fingers crossed
You are so welcome
Fresh from the sea the variety is good they always seem to have the Bonito style tuna...n of course the baboy ...you should do a couple of market to table cooking show...nice cameo by Maricar n Anton on this informative video...do you notice if they have an abundance of fish (any kind) if the prices drop or do they always remain the same regardless of how much fish they have for sale
It's like not same. But most of the time they have same same fish. And if it's lucky day there is different nice fish. I think they stick on the price. Sorry, I'm not good at fishes 😁 hope it helps you. Thank you for watching
Thank you again for share your very nice video, i love all your video's specially market 😀 great 👍God bless you always.
Glad you like them!
Wow I feel like home watching this video, thanks for sharing. I miss the fresh squid because we can only buy frozen here.
Yes! But Matt prefer little bigger squid than in the video. But the squid here is always fresh 🙂 thank you for watching Ate Miles. God bless
Mahal 😅😂🤣 Babalik ako diyan ✈️. Maricar operator kamery super 👍. Antoś odpowiedzialny za światło perfekcja 👌
Matt is the camera man 🙂 I am obligated with Anton all the time.
I laughed when you asked him to chop the fish before gutting it. 😁
He's comedian sometimes.
I L❤VE these videos! So informative. Especially for those that might want to move to Phillipines! Thanks guys! Enjoy the beautiful weather! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🌈🌞🏝🌺
Thank you, Ani.. God bless.
@@IslaPamilya God bless you as well.🙏❤
Hello here you say the prices in euros it would be perfect also thank you take care of yourself and your little family 🙏🤩🇵🇭👍🇨🇵
I really like these kind of videos. Learning prices and seeing you interact with the vendors. Pork chops here are roughly 500 peso per kilo. All our cuts are priced differently in Canada.
Thanks! Not a big difference in pork price comparing the income i booth countries.
Here a construction worker the skilled one earn 500 php / day so now count how many kg You can buy for Your dayly salary becouse they can have only 2kg not skilled worker only 1kg.
@@IslaPamilya Not a close comparison really Matt. Food is cheap here in Canada compared to wages. People think it’s so cheap there but for locals it’s expensive.
@@jeffreysmith9834 true. Income is relative to the cost of living within the local residents who are earning local. I found sugar is much expensive than the Philippines thna in the UK. It's hard for local family living in minimum wage in the Philippines because the cost of living for them is expensive filipino should learn how to plant common vegetables and crops like potatoes, sweet potatoes or kamoteng kahoy. There are many youtube vloggers about how to setup urban Garden using empty bottles or containers
Thanks friend. Great video
Thank you for watching 😀
anyway I’m new subrcriber in your yutube I miss my home siqujor wene I saw your yutube Chanel I subscribe on you, thank you for your sharing your vidio,it same that I going home ofw from Middle East
Thanks for sharing the prices.
Our pleasure!
Interesting vlog! I enjoy the open Markets.
Glad you enjoyed
Thank you Matt for sharing this video. I miss that public Market and the prutasan. I miss Siquijor. Soon i'm staying there for good.
Glad you enjoyed it!
hello Matt it's such another informative video for your viewers especially the foreign ones who might one day want to settle down too in siquijor, the prices are much cheaper of course than here in metro manila, I think food prices will always be much cheaper in the province than here in NCR but other basic things like appliances I think is much cheaper here, I don't know if there's a mall there maybe you can check also like in your next vlog and I'm also very happy again seeing Anton and his cute antics, and as always man stay safe and stay cool 😎 as you are until your next video peace ✌️
Hello Man! I think that You have muich cheaper veggies, fruits, power and internet there in big city, aswell appliances and construction materials (maybe except wood) correct me if im wrong. Fishes should be always cheaper in the province becouse less middle mans. Thanks for comment, stay safe.
@@IslaPamilya veggies are also expensive here man
now if we just had some chips to go with the fish and a nice cold beer :)
Yup perfect connection!
Hy . Thanks for this video. It is interesting. But , i will ask you something. What is your occupation there? What is your job there? You go back to Europe a few months a year to earn monney. ? Thank you and many greetings from Belgium.
Welcome, i have some small online income which is still enough to live here. Greetz !
What is the online job you have ? What is it that you do?

Fresh seafood is always nice. Thank you for watching, Grandpa.
Congratulations, your channel has over 10k subscribers now
Thank You so much!
that's hilarious man! you even got the price for the pedicure, lol! great video and when you guys going to do a livestream? looks like Anton is m.i.a running around the market, he's experiencing so much.
I was curious who will first notice Anton's "escape". At that moment, he ran to Maricar, who was buying vegetables. Maybe we'll do a live one day, if there would be more people interested. Cheers mate!
Thank you!same prices the fishes in Metro manila.👍nice vlog
Thank you for the support. 🙂
THAT IS GOOD FISH,WITH NO BONES GOOD DEEP FRY, WITH RICE,I WELL BE THERE IN THE PHILIPPINES IN GS ,HAVE A GOOD WITH THE FAMILY
Hope you enjoy
Wowwww 😍😍
Thank you for watching 😀
They need to put the prices on the fish 🐠 so you know without asking. I love 🍣 salmon and will have to pay the higher price at the grocery store as I don’t think they sell it in the market. Correct me if I’m wrong please.😀
They don't give prices because they can always raise them a bit for foreigners.
I'm not sure, but the salmon is rather imported from the farm, so you can only buy it frozen. A great fish, but very unhealthy because it is farmed. I think the milkfish is also not very healthy and it comes from farming.
Pozdrawiamy!
wow Ill be eating fish everyday if I live there. Is there a nice weightlifting gym in the area? Imagine eating fresh tuna with bake yam and yam fries with seafood seaweed salad on the sides then finish it off with coconut water everyday then go to the gym work-out everyday and repeat. ill be Mr. Olympia in no time! 😂😁
Yep! I believe there's close gym there. 😀 Thank you for watching 😀
Mahi mahi is very expensive here 9-10dollars/lbs. & not even as fresh like that always frozen here! That prepared in sealed plastic frozen "bangus" is 10-11dollars each! You're lucky guys! I miss miss those wet markets!!
Yep! Thank you for watching. Only lacking tilapia for me 😁
Thank you for the effort of making this pricing guide in siquijor, at least we can prepare some cash in advance and can plan in advance :)
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Matt at your market. Very cheap local fish. I ask Liza about the price of the flying fish. P 400/ kg in San Francisco market. I see the flying fish travelling from Danao port to Camotes Island and vice versa Matt.
OMG! 400 per kg? That's pretty expensive. But we prefer to eat big fishes. Hehe. Less work
👌😎👍👍👍
pozdro Krzysztof !
Another Gem Matt of your communication skills with Filipinas in the food market place.
I can say that from my Lichen, Manioc & Carebou eating days, you have a great way Matt, of showing your knowledge.

Matt thank you for showing us the Meat Market. Matt, I didn't notice any refrigerators being used in the Market. How do you know that you are getting todays catch? What is done with the end of day meat items?
Yeah manilly they selling out the meat, if its not fresh You can see that and smell, i never bought unfreshed meat on market once we bought ground beef in mall and it was terrible i need to throw it during cooking
Present si Mamang Matt and Maricar and Anton
Thank you so much Mamang for watching.. 😍
@@IslaPamilya always dhai Maricar and Matt ginaatangan jud nako ang new upload maayo kay mo kaon si Matt ug isda nga naay bones
I was a bit intrigued when this video popped up while im checking you tube videos as the backdrop picture looks familiar to me so i check the whole video and indeed it's my older sister you chatted with at the meat section during the last part of this video....and you also asked my sister-in-law about pork meat prices at the other side of the table but unfortunately you didn't buy any pork meat from her.....just kidding....by the way I'm a subscriber originally from siquijor now living here in the southernmost part of Luzon....
World is small, i prefer always nice fish than pork, until someone not offer me good sisig than its a draw 🐟vs🐷 😆
@@IslaPamilya yeah small world as they say....i really missed my family in siquijor specially my 88 year old mother.... the last time i went there was 2018 with my son...
Mahi Mahi! Prized fish in the States. Good price there. Don't get too fat on that pork belly, Matt. Cheers.
hahaha i will try! Im playing a little basket ball everyday since this month. Cheers!
I’m came from siqujor to,prblm that place is very high price for they food especially fish, and vegetables if you don’t have a good income you cannot eat just because over price than other place, sad to say that’s true
I love my seafood and meat very cheap Matt😎
Thank you, Victor.. 😁
Hey Matt !! Wow, $7.80 USD for a whole Mahi Mahi fish. We pay $ $7.80 USD for one steak he cut for you !! And our seafood is not so fresh as yours. I wonder if you grill on charcoal BBQ ? Do you Marinade fish ? or brush with sauce while grilling ?
Hi, Allan! I do grill, baking and sweet and sour fish. In grilling I put salt, pepper and rosemary. Same with baking. We are using electric grill before. But now mostly I bake.
@@maricar4868 Oh, I remember at the church house, you guys had a smoker right ? Did you ever smoke fish ?
Hi, would you please share the location/address where you got the shrimp and boneless bangus?
It was in Pasihagon. Along the highway. Right side going to San Juan. They have signed Boneless Bangus for sale something like that.
Just noticing prices for local people are different than foreigners. I have noticed when your asking for some of the prices that she pauses like she can’t remember the price.🤷♀️ Where is this place so we know where to go. Thanks😊
It was in Siquijor market. Some of the Filipino will take advantage of you. Just need to be wise. But you'll always encounter the good hearts too.
It 's good that ur leaving in the province, codt of leaving there is so cheap compare to Manila
Thanks for watching..
How much the mo.budget for 2 kids in the Phil.after Odette?

I know fish was a fisherman most of my life and that selection of fish is what I would call S@#t 😮. The tuna was false albacore Bonita a lowest grade of tuna. All fish should be gutted before leaving the boat to market it spoils quick and no ice does not help. Most of those fish were what I would use for bait. The snapper and Mahi were the only quality fish there but the guts still in it is a question mark. For your information to help you in the future the gills should be bright red and eyes not a glassy look that how you can tell if it is fresh. Looking at that sqiud it was frozen and thawed out not fresh you have seen still squid while diving and I saw you eat it before. That market was not selling what I would call quality fresh fish. ❤
Thanks for your comment, fish with cloudy eyes I don't buy in the gills I also look into, I have fishermen friends. But it's good that you wrote it because people may not know how to check the fish.
As a rule, everything they take out of the sea lands immediately in ice and so is delivered to the market where it is already lying on the counters. There are times when fish are not fresh so you have to be careful. And as for the quality it is always random depends on what the fishermen catch you can buy, sometimes there will be some mahi mahi or yellow fin tuna and sometimes flying fish or some small tuna.
US$3.50
Not US$3,50 (3 million fifty?)
You speak English price goes up 40%
Haha! skin tax.. 😂
US$3.50 (3 dollars 50 cents = 3 dot 50) US$3.50 3.50 polish might use Comer ( , ) but not for US dollars/cents. We use dot ( . )
